There will be no collapse. Standards of living may drop, but that's nothing new. I think new technology will offset most of the lost productivity. Things will be different, but we'll come to accept them as the norm.

Honestly, good for them. If you work hard, you should reap the rewards. But I have no interest in meeting this arbitrary "do better" standard. Hell, if women buy all the homes I'll live in a van like bob wells. My wants and preoccupations with the standard life script seem to shrink by the day
