There's strength in the sexes complementing each other. We're best together. Masculine men and feminine women are important. Of course your "team" should be exclusively men, but women play an important role in the family.

What do you mean? A dude can easily jack it 4 times a day or more.

If you were only jacking it a few times a week then yeah, nofap isn't aimed at you. It's for the guys doing it every day or multiple times a day. IMO porn is a much bigger problem than masturbation. Optimally, I think masturbating once a week is ideal, and no porn ever. Shit feels way too good, makes the rest of life feel dull in comparison. Jerking off and weed have a lot in common. They're both major sources of pleasure and dopamine that require little to no effort to attain. Having that shit …

It's not about guilt. Masturbating to porn all the time is like smoking weed constantly, it's gonna kill your drive and self discipline. Yeah some people are exceptions but for most people, having such an easy and reliable source of pleasure available constantly reduces your motivation to work towards more difficult things. Read up on dopamine desensitization.

The problem is that almost all the top replies to post these days are low effort jokes, not actual responses, additions, or rebuttals to the OP. In other words, TRP has gotten too big.

Hey man, PM me your response if you'd like, but I'm genuinely interested where you're at in your life. Where are you? How did you get there?

Dunno, read a fiction book probably. Been reading Starship Troopers recently, it's surprisingly good. Didn't expect much from it really. Haven't listen to ASMR stuff in a couple months, but it's still great for chilling out. The community is fucking garbage, though.

No shit. But if ASMR affects you, and for whatever reason it seems only a minority of people get the "tingles" from it, then it can be a very relaxing way to spend your recreational time.

I disagree. It may make good business sense, but I don't think it would be good LTR-wise.

I dunno if I'd call modafinil a nootropic, as far as the conventional definition goes. I don't think it increases mental capabilities at all, just lets you work on boring shit for a long time without getting distracted.

In my experience, modafinil makes me feel like a robot for about 10-12 hours. Diminished, practically non-existent need for food, sleep, and water (which isn't particularly healthy) but with a superhuman attention span and ability to focus on simple or complex tasks for extended periods of time. You gotta be careful though, it's very easy to spend the period doing something useless, like playing some video game, instead of something productive. Just like adderall, it only increases your ability …

It may be easier to get modafinil instead of adderall. It's far less stimulating, and as a result is much less damaging to your system (and less addictive) but you can still get the superhuman attention span. You can get modafinil with bitcoins from many places online.

Agreed, but it's still rational to have an issue with a culture that condones and encourages that behavior.

There's a difference between advertising informing you of things, and advertising that tries to manipulate your emotional state to influence you into doing something or feeling a certain way. Modern manipulative advertising techniques mostly began with Bernays, nephew of Freud, not that long ago. If you're interested, check out the documentary series The Century of Self.

Sports are there to outsource your natural group forming instincts as a man. Play sports, don't watch them.

Everything you're exposed to influences you, even if it's just a little bit. That's how humans work. We learn from and adapt to our environment, that's why we've been so successful. I'd rather be influenced by good shit that makes me better, not fucking TV and advertisements carefully designed to manipulate my behavior in subtle ways.

Must suck for him up in the North, Scandinavia and those parts, average height there is like 5'11" or 6 foot.

In my experience, posture is often more important than height. Of course a tall man with good posture is more attractive than an average or short man with good posture (all else being equal), but a short or average man with good posture can often beat out a tall man with shit posture. Good posture means not only do you control your space authoritatively, but you also lay claim to the area around you.

Agree and escalate. Never be defensive or try to deflect, downplay, whatever. Own it and show that you're not at all embarrassed of it. She's taking cues from you, and if you're embarrassed of it, then that's pretty fucking nasty in her eyes. But if you completely own it while maintaining your attractive and aloof/cocky/funny demeanor (whatever you prefer) then she'll follow your cue and learn that it's no big deal. Don't try to memorize responses or replies to shit tests, that's PUA shit and it…

Best dates I ever had were ones where I took her to do minorly illegal shit, like climbing fire escapes to the top of buildings and looking at the stars and streets from up there. Great place to fuck too, if it isn't too cold.

My rule is, when I first meet a man I treat them my very best. The second time i see them, I treat them exactly how they treated me. An evolution game/competition found this to be one of the most effective and yet simplest strategies, called Tit for Tat, beating out both "Always be mean" and "always be nice", as well as a whole bunch of far more complex strategies.

It's about separating what is in your power from what isn't, and living a virtuous life. Personally I think some combination of Stoicism and Asceticism is ideal, led by a cultivated personal sense of morality.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
