Yep all thats true. I suppose if you're on record saying i did xyz crime and you were arrested then you could just say 'i was kidding'. Although I'm sure ive heard of Police investigating alleged crimes without any hard evidence at the start of the investigation before. Could be wrong though.

Then by your own logic if a woman finds the toilet seat up when entering the bathroom, she should put it "back" before exiting the bathroom? :D The other scenario you mention of men needing the seat down sometimes is true, but in a ratio of probably 10-1, so is not really a large consideration. Plus, with the 'leave it as you used it' procedure, this eventuality merely skews the probability of finding the toilet seat in the state you require it more in favour of the females.

This has always annoyed me massively. WHY should men, by default be expected to always leave the seat in the position women want and not vice versa, or more fairly, just leave it in whatever position you've put it in to use it, and the next person adjusts it to their requirements, and so on.
