Well, I think most RPers are like the newborn atheists fancying themselves great thinkers who enlightened themselves by their own reasoning, but who really switched to reddit atheism instead of something else because it got them status points and an enemy to blame and collectively taunt. I too think some RPers are honestly in for the truth, and that's good.

Haven't established the rule yet, you just stated a hypothesis and I gave an example in disagreement with it. To counter, most people consider different belief systems than the ones their were raised in. Most teenagers will have already done it during their rebellious phases. Changing your beliefs doesn't mean you saw the truth where everyone else didn't even consider it, it just means you were convinced by things that didn't convince others. I could just as easily claim that considering switchi…

That's why born again Christians are so much more open minded, right?

Because once you change your mind you're guaranteed to have arrived at the True ideology. Can't be wrong twice. Maybe everyone should ask themselves, if all those people outside of my own group are so hopelessly deluded and certain they are the unbiased ones, how do I know my group is the only one that's really as unbiased as I believe?

Such a lucky coincidence that you guys are protected from the flawed human nature making them act like they do. Otherwise you'd be just as ignorant as them and would never even know it, just like them!

I could make the argument that being generous in order to impress a girl into sleeping with you is a very different motivation than being generous in order to feel good about making a positive difference in the world, therefore having the former motivation but trying to behave as if you have the latter motivation is disingenuous and therefore offputting.

Oh, maybe I'm really just explaining confirmation bias.

I might just be too tired, but I can't understand what you mean. Can you elaborate?

No, I meant performing certain behaviors that make women conclude you are behaving in those ways due to having certain character traits. But in reality you perform those behaviors because you heard it would get you laid. So the "faking" is not consciously choosing character traits, but consciously mimicking the behavior of someone who has character traits you yourself lack.

Basically, faking having certain character traits (that would have naturally led to lifting, dressing nicely, paying attention, confidence and so on for reasons other than wanting to bed women) is unattractive?

Do you think the haters of the radical male-bashing feminist rhetoric are less numerous or less enraged (or more willing to concede) than the redpill haters?

Added to show that he's twisting things by implying that TRP is criticized for trying to observe women and draw conclusions rather than the specific ludicrous, harmful pseudo-"conclusions" they come up with.

All men display behavior typical of males. That behavior being described as typical is supported by experience, observation, and anecdotes. We observe the behavior of every animal on earth. We draw conclusions on that behavior without a wink... But when you observe men and remark on what mysogynistic neckbearded losers and evil napoleonic oppressors they are, they lose their minds. It's funny how the bitter Truth just so turns out to coincidentally be about how awesome you are compared to the Others.

At least you have a life philosophy in common with all the unattractive chicks interested in you.

ok. At least that was a surprisingly civil, non-mean if totally unproductive exchange.

Fair enough. I guess the people who believe our alien overlords live on Saturn will say they've examined their reasoning and found it foolproof.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
