Wife wants to tell our young kids in an hourMy ex wife told our 4 year old son without me. She was upset because she thought I said something to him about it, which I absolutely did not. She talked about it like it would be a talk between all of us with lots of love and discussion. Then she just did it. She was mad because she thought I said something to him already. He said some weird 4 year old thing and she read into it. Didn't even ask me first. Didn't even try to talk to me first. Looking back, she did this shit regularly, still does… | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/08/22 12:58 AM
Can’t do this anymoreI'm 35, getting divorced, with a kid. Started in October and it took until February for me to get back on the ball and I'm happier than I've been in years. OP, it takes time my friend and unfortunately you can't rush that but IT DOES GET BETTER I PROMISE. Please reconsider. My heart is breaking for you and your kids. This is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Even though it doesn't feel temporary, it is. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/04/22 03:14 PM
What are ways you stay connected to your kid(s) when they're not with you?Thank you for taking the time to respond. I love this idea. I think I have an old phone I can put Google Duo on and that would make him so happy! (Me too) | /r/Divorce_Men | 06/11/21 01:47 AM
What are ways you stay connected to your kid(s) when they're not with you?My days with him are our time and we squeeze every second out of them. He doesn't even bring his iPad here and he's never asked for it. One thing I do feel very good about is I consciously direct my attention to him and our time together. We play, read tons, he helps me cook, build things together. I used to think these years would go by so fast and now I only get to see half of them; I'm making the absolute most of it. | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/11/21 06:34 PM
What are ways you stay connected to your kid(s) when they're not with you?Aw I like that idea. I'm newly separated and having a hard time not seeing him everyday. Before we separated I'd come home from work and spend the entire evening with him until he fell asleep and now I have no idea what to do with my time. I guess I just really miss him. | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/11/21 05:58 PM
What are ways you stay connected to your kid(s) when they're not with you?I can call him but I thought it would be cool to have our own little special connection. He's only four so something like that would be especially cool for him | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/11/21 04:19 PM
