Glad to hear you're not coerced into the general hate like so many posters on here! It's so easy to go along with and very apparent the deeper you go... also glad that you're not feeling totally crippled by this because that happens a lot, when people invest a lot into a relationship or really see potential for it, only for it to end. Keep your head up and focus on doing things that make you happy, too! The hurt and sadness will heal with time. Thanks to you too for discussing it, I appreciate y…

*"not saying I'm supporting this:" do you mean you don't support the hate or the fact that *I* don't have all the hate you see in this sr? I'm really just responding based on my personal experience with both men and women, a lot of times we try to gloss over the problems in our lives and the issues we have with sex or relationships when we really need to be looking inward. Men do literally all of this if they are cheating too, stop making it seem like only women are the shitty ones. I'm sorry she cheated on you, that absolutely sucks, but just because you had this bad experience doesn't mean that all women will take advantage of you once you're vulnerable to them.

She probably meant what she said. Some people understand when they are trying to cover up their own personal problems with relationships and know when they need to step back and become self-reliant. It sounds like she still cares about you but is just not in a place right now where it's good for her to be in a relationship.

Literally everyone is struggling with the opposite sex right now (or same sex, depending), whether they're single and not able to meet people or in a relationship and having problems/breaking up due to being sheltered in place together. Stop making your "problems" about women and realise that these feelings about yourself aren't going to magically go away once you find a partner.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
