I was referencing women who are single and open to meeting men. If you're single, at a club, and you find some of the men engaging, fun, etc you're going to flirt. And I'm happy to hear you say that about the 'men don't need all that stuff'...makes me feel happier for my daughter :) But then I'm curious about all the 'tailoring' men think they have to do, that is far more than what women do?

Amen :) When it comes to THAT stuff, we're all on equal ground here, we all have our strengths, our faults, and we would all do well to be cognizant of those things. Recognize what we bring to the table and where we fall short. Now, if we could get everyone lined up with a common 'human' score...kind of like a credit score, but on how good of a catch we are :) Might boost the confidence of the kind people, and take the ego-maniacs down a few pegs.

omg yes...and I get it, it's true in a way, men tend not to be nurturers. That's why you don't see a lot of male day-care providers, nannies, elementary school teachers. And that's fine, but if relationships are important, put in the work. Even just 'some' work will reap rewards. Because people DO know men aren't built that way necessarily. But it doesn't mean you get to sit back and grump about it and demand love, lol. And some men think it's 'easy' for us. It's not. Whether we have more nurtur…

Again (you are so exhausting when you don't read properly), I'm talking ONLY about when a kid is a kid, UNDER LAW...a minor, who is OWED an upbringing by the parents who CHOSE to bring them into the world. You say your father 'paid for your dad's food and bills when he was a kid'. That's not a 'thing'. It's called parenting. Of course the grandfather paid for his son's food and bills when he was a child. Who is supposed to? The parents. The picture you are painting is delightful...if everyone ju…

Jesus. The language in this sub is like a different planet. People here define themselves and others to death, this is not real life, it's like fucking latin class. Why talk like this? People here are creating their own society with their own language and hypothetical arguments, it's so weird. Just talk normally.

Yeah but that's basic sexual desire stuff. When a man goes out to 'get a woman', it's like they start the second they get to the club. They want to flirt a little, 'bag a woman' and leave. They want sex. When women go out, they want to have a good time, they want to flirt, but sometimes with just the end goal of being flirted with. To feel desirable. Sex, sure, but our ultimate goal is self fulfillment via potential dates, relationships, not just sex. So there will always be a different dynamic.…

I would agree. There is a dangerous game these days of being ok with attributing men with undesirable characteristics, yet there seems to be an unwritten rule that thou shalt not sully a woman's name. I really hope we get past this, and recognize the good and bad in all.

Agree, was just responding to the original commenter here centered around men. And I used females in quotes because that's how many men on these subs tend to label women. 'Why do men strike out when apparently you females want nice guys'?

A woman doesn’t have to tailor herself to be sexually desirable to the same extent that men do. Is that a joke? Do you have any idea how much time we spend on primping and priming for night out, or even just to leave the house? Look at all the products we buy, procedures we undergo, fake hair, nails, boobs, butt, make up tutorials, magazines and articles on how to dress for the man you want, having to make sure we're not wearing the same outfit twice around men, look at all the clothes and shoes…

Let's not forget effort. If women are seen in the caregiver role, it's because they do the caregiver work. Men can't sit back and demand love and attention becuase 'I'm the grandfather'. You need to put in work to reap the rewards. Call your grandkids, spend time with them when they come visit, have conversations iwth them, make them laugh. This is all the stuff undervalued by men, they don't do the work, they let their wives do it, then are surprised/angry/resentful when the women are valued mo…

There's no 'all' or 'none' when you're talking about human beings. Just like you can't say 'all men..' anything, you can't say 'all women...' anything either. I mean, you kind of learn that stuff in life. And if you're listening to your jaded father or online video game buddies, then stop listening.

So that's just you picking bad women to 'fix them'.... the same thing men tell women... 'stop trying to fix me'. If you pick better women, you will...have better women, lol.

I would encourage you to join some groups or clubs or even church or something where you can meet women of like-mind/interests and form some friendships. I have a small circle of close friends with whom I can vent, discuss, and uplift each other during tough times. But even just having people touching base with us and seeing how we're doing is an enormous source of support. We all need other people besides our spouse/partner to make us whole.

Nah, you lost me there. I mean, yes, the female orgasm can be elusive, but it's not a guy's fault necessarily. Even the larger than average men cannot bring a woman to orgasm...a lot is how we women learn to move to make it happen. Plus, maybe the guy isn't too small, maybe some women are too 'open'. Anyways, there are aids and toys to help with that. To me, it's more 'how' a guy is in the bedroom...is he confident, does he do the things that turn you on (strong, dominant, gentle, talkative, wha…

We women get a GREAT deal of our emotional support from our friends. Some men find it hard to listen/support, because they tend to be great fixers. So they just offer a different kind of support. The reliance we can have on them (going to take care of the noise we heard downstairs, fixing the sink leak, getting us on the side of the road when our cars break down, etc) is just different then straight-up emotional support. For love, comfort, emotional support and sex..I go to my husband. For EXTEN…

Wow. I mean, I don't think you understand single parenthood. It varies WIDELY depending on how much family support you have, available babysitters, disposable income for things like house keepers to free up your time, etc. You're faulting single parents with having children. That's like faulting a sports car driver for only having two seats. It IS what it IS. It's not a tool, or weapon. It's fact. So accept it, or decide that you don't wish to share your time with their children. Move on.

Wow. You're right off the deep end, and making a totally nonsensical argument. let's keep this simple. Women 100% deserve to orgasm and enjoy sex. Fill your boots girl. You specifically asked about whether it's hard to be fulfilled in a monogamous relationship. You're making the assumption monogamous relationships somehow aren't fulfilling (to you at least). So don't enter into one if you aren't sexually satisfied. It's really simple. If you're not sexually satisfied, you either a) haven't found…

So then you don't want to be in a monogamous relationship. What's so hard to understand? If you find 'the person'...you'll know you're ready for one. But if you never do, then don't worry about it, just don't commit. What the f is so hard to understand?

I honestly don't know how the law works in the case of 'at-fault' divorces...some countries or states/provinces have them, some don't. I totally feel if one spouse cheats, then the marriage is ending because of something THEY did against the vows of marriage and, sure seems fair they should have to pay like, moving out/new apartment/divorce costs because the other spouse may not have wanted a divorce except for the spouse cheating. I think you're mostly referring to marriages where each spouse i…

You are enhancing the argument I made about the drunk driver. Yes, sue him. And you wouldn't be wrong, that's what I 'm saying. You're not 'taking advantage', you're getting what you deserve due to someone else's negligence. Again, not saying lavish lifestyle, but yes, the lifestyle the child would have had if they were still living with you. Let's say your wife did not take the children. You have them 100% of the time. Would you not take them on vacation? Buy them Xmas presents? And I don't mea…

You keep saying 'take advantage of'. If we're talking marriage here, a true marriage that both partners enter into equally, with high hopes of forever after...then the intention here is no one takes advantage, everyone is pulling their weight, work-wise, child-rearing, household-keeping, emotionally supporting, etc. Laws were put there by society, not women. Society thinks it's fair that the children of a couple should be looked after, and that a high-earning spouse cannot legally dump his/her k…

1 - I am only talking about having children when both partners want one. I'm not debating about when just a woman wants a kid. We're talking marriages here, and my firm belief is if there is one partner who does not want a kid, you don't have a kid. 2 - I was talking only about the men who want nothing to do with any kind of resposibility towards the women and children in your life. YOU go live alone, the rest of society will do fine without you. The men and women who recognize partnerships. 3 -…

You missed in a previous post...two actually...where I specifically said, 'I'm not saying we should be forcing a 50/50 split of women firefighters, if they don't want to or are not physically capable of it, nor should we force more men to be primary school teachers if they don't want to be'. My ISSUE is that when there is a pool of qualified, interested candidates, then the hiring should reflect that pool. It's called responsibility, and if you don't want it, then don't move to North America because that's the law here. People provide for their families. They don't dupe a partner into a loving marriage, say you want kids, encourage the partner to leave their jobs so they can do 'what's best for the kid', then just leave..throw 'just above poverty level' pennies at them and say 'yeah, I did the right thing by my flesh and blood'. Hahaha wow. Something in return? you get a child. That's what WE get, so why do you get any more? We aren't 'off work' during pregnancy, we're 'off' so we can, you know, push a baby out of our bodies and FEED a baby and provide SOME degree of nurturing for a few weeks or months., so that you can have a family. And if you don't want children, don't have them. And if you want to work in a male-only world where you don't have to deal with women 'taking' from you then go start a men's only colony. E…

Indeed apples and oranges. Women will never be as physically strong, women will always bear children. There. That's huge. And that creates so many inequalities. What we are shooting for is equity. Each person should have what they need to be successful in life. A woman who has no choice but to the be bearer of children (I'm talking generally...not individually) must still have equal access to the workplace and not be unfairly punished for her 'time off' to bring a child into the world. Even then…

I'm talking about when you bring up your kids in the home that you own, let's say it's a really nice 4 bedroom home with a pool. This is the home you own, the home you bring your kids up in. You and your wife decide what financial benefits you give them, how many presents they get, clothes, gifts, trips, etc. If you decide to leave the family, and your wife doesn't work, you don't get to pick up and leave, or kick them out of your beautiful home, while your wife gets a part time job and squeezes…

Yes, I'm talking about fair representation out of the qualified and 'interested' pool. Like I said earlier, I'm not saying half of firefighters need to be women. If women are not interested in pursuing that career and yes, it could have a lot to do with physicality required for the job, that's fine...but if there is an interested and qualified pool of women who are not getting hired, then there is a problem. MEN are given so many advantages. MEN are the 'preferred' gender for families for centuries. Stronger, carry on family name, it's a patriarchy for a reason. For centuries, men have been given the advantages. But you had nothing to complain about then, did you? But you complain now because 'this world we've created, I don't like it anymore, why should I work when my wife doesn't have to'. (Because that's the world you created). If you were a child...and your father earned 200,000$ a year and he left you with your mother to live in a small house with basic food, clothing and bags for school while he travelled the world, had NEW kids, new wife, lavished them with gifts and a big house...th…

For someone who apparently lives in a place so plagued by dog-eat-dog, how is it you can suggest that all people are treated equally already? The right thing = hiring the qualified person for the job. So many men pass over women because of perceived future problems, not because they're not qualified. Second - yes, giving some marginalized, underrepresented groups a lift up is critical in ensuring we cultivate our talent and give everyone a chance to earn and provide for themselves and their families. OK, so I think you are so right in a lot of ways...I mean divorce is expensive and I think a lot of the laws were written when dealing with true marriages breaking down and a household divided in two. Not quickie marriages to 'get half his shit'. I think it's appalling for anyone to target a rich partner, decide not to work, have a kid, divorce and take half of everything the other partner ever owned. I mean, that's wrong. I think people who get married have to do so with a true 'partnership' in mind. If a person wants to have kids, raise a family, they 'usually' want a partner. In any partnership, people have to bring value, but it's not always the same value. Here's what I bring, here's what you bring. And it's a blend of money, support, keeping home, home finances/planning, the actual 'raising' of the children, supporting through school, creating well-rounded children, planning/supporting activities, volunteeri…

Unfortunately sometimes you have to pay to make the 'right' thing happen. I mean, look at it from a business owner standpoint, aside from it being the 'wrong thing to do', why would I hire a woman of child-bearing years in a top position requiring specific skill-set, etc? If she goes on mat leave twice in a 6 year period, that's a LOT of hassle for me to have to backfill, top up mat leave, etc. Plus women are usually the primary caregiver so there are 'have to go, my kid is sick' things. You're wrong about housework..again. But given your experience, that's not difficult to comprehend. I was wrong about housework until I got married. I too had a single mom, and I too lived alone. It was never as much until you got married and had kids. As for birth control, you said women have much more options. YOu're not wrong, but the options suck. It messes with hormones and causes major side effects and risks. A condom is the easiest, safest, and a decent effectiveness for the lowest risk. …

I don't like the word feminism. Back when we had to pull women out of hte home and into the work world, go to school, etc. I get it...but now, let's call it 'equity for all' or something and stop equating it with pushing for increased women's rights. Can't forget men in all of this. We shouldn't push men down to raise women up.

So when you say 'men don't want another man's leftovers', you also mean that both ways? Why would you just use it as a slam against women if you truly are remaining a virgin for this altruistic reason? Housework isn't difficult. It's neverending. Think of coming home after work and having to pick up kids from daycare, and immediately start making dinner, unpacking lunch boxes, doing dishes, serving dinner, doing more dishes, helping with homework and bath routine before you even put your feet up for one second. THEN there's sweeping, tidying, picking up toys. And that's just the minimum nightly chores. Just picture coming home from work and having people dependant on you to actively do stuff a…

I think the ratio of who initiates divorce is fairly even. Women leave men to be happier. Men leave women if they have another woman lined up. Men cheat more. If a man cheats and a woman leaves, that was his mess up. I've argued this before, if a couple doesn't really want to 'build a life' together then don't get married. keep all finances 50/50 but then sorry, the 'free labour' gets paid for. THEN come home and are expected to do all the cooking, cleaning, laundry, child rearing, grocery shopping, helping with homework, while dad gets to put his feet up. Yeah, I said that wrong. When a man and woman both value this as an agreement of no sex before marriage, it's a shared belief system and it's fantastic for them. What I'm seeing a lot of on here are men who 'don't want another man's leftovers' yet they can have as much sex as they want, so long as 'their woman' hasn't. That's what's disgusting.

The data shows that it's mostly women who find marriage less satisfying if they've had more than 6 partners. For men, it really doesn't dip much lower the more sexual partners THEY've had. But these studies don't take into account (that I could find) religious persuasions,/belief systems. If a couple believes that being virginal until marriage is important, then that's a huge driver of why they believe their marriage will be successful. Also, belief of vows remaining unbroken, divorce =sin, etc.…

Your point is? People will seek out love when people want it and value it. You need two people to fall in love. Virginity is not valued by women. It's only valued by men. Some weirdo possessive 15th century men. If all women joined forces and had a 'ritual coming of age' sexual experience by the time they were 17 there would be an end to this stupid virginity quest by men. I looked it up. In biology, a pair bond is the strong affinity that develops in some species between a mating pair, often leading to the production and rearing of offspring and potentially a lifelong bond. Pair-bonding is a term coined in the 1940s[1] that is frequently used in sociobiology and evolutionary biology circles. The term often implies either a lifelong socially monogamous relationship or a stage of mating interaction in socially monogamous species. It is sometimes used in reference t…

Why not just say 'the other traits don't matter if she isn't able to build a deep emotional bond with him. I don't think you're understanding the link here. What I'm saying is that a man can tell women that they are MORE attractive the LESS men they sleep with. So therefore, women want to be attractive to men, so they sleep with less men. With me so far? Therefore men have a hard time finding a woman to sleep with because women are being very selective...because that's the way MEN want it. Funny yet?

Not so much because men write the rules and feel they can demand virginity and some goats or something to drag some poor, beautiful woman from her poor family home and 'provide a better life'. Ugh. Gross.

It's an adventure alright, but it's like when you start the 'game'.. people can take a brief look at the instructions to understand it, then at the sound of the gun, charge off and explore. Or, they can sit there and debate endlessly about the rules, create sub-rules, take one step into the game and find something you don't like, and retreat to 'rule-reading' again, to create another rule so you won't make that wrong step again...rinse and repeat. Just go...like OUT into the world. Try something…

I'm going with sad...so much to analyze these days that it's no wonder some of these people never find partners. They've already pre-determined worthiness based on how they've categorized random presumptions about someone and called them 'undatable'. I feel for today's generation. Or maybe, just people on subs like this, spending hours analyzing theories, then unleashing themselves on poor unsuspecting dating pool :)

I just feel like there are so many 'factors' at play in today's dating/partnering world that people feel the need to label, overanalyze, and define every single aspect of a partner. It's no wonder people on subs like this have a hard time dating. Body count (back in my day, I'm old, in my 40's) wasn't something you talked about as a 'thing'..it was something that eventually a couple usually discussed as it came up, and then it was done with. Whether you believed them or not was a factor of how m…

Wow, so much thought going into selecting 'just' the right woman based on nothing else but maintaining the male ego. And what exactly does this MAN bring to the table? If he can snag the perfect 'demure, virgin' woman who won't cheat...what does she get in return? Will she continue to be 'highly valued' or will this highly motivated man take her for granted, treat her poorly (because she's so 'demure', she won't be one to stand up for herself')and sleep around because her 'demure-ness' (lol) doe…

I still don't understand that you're wiping out 85% of the 'datable' population in favour of a virgin, when if you're looking for a partner, aren't there so many more qualities that should be of greater importance than whether or not she has had sex before? Will she be a great wife? Adore you? Love you? Be a great mother? Help provide for hte family? Love your entire family? Be positive and energetic and driven to help her whole family succeed? So you find this virgin, and she's physically accep…

? Just because she's a virgin doesn't mean she won't cheat. Not sure your logic here. In fact, could be that once she DOES have sex with her now husband, she could find it's not all she hoped it would be and wonder whether she's missing something... could it feel different with someone else...?

This is a tricky one because it's an ongoing thing and you're hanging around with them together, while she is cheating on him. First, as a truly close friend, you would care about their overall well-being and encourage them to talk about why they are doing something so out of character for them. You would warn them they are being unkind and this will end badly, etc. Also, you should express that you won't be put into a situation where you have to lie, and it does make you uncomfortable to be aro…

Very well said and incredibly accurate. Women often like to go by 'feel'. What feeling do we get when we're with someone, do I feel respected, cared for, etc. Men may try, as you said, logically figuring something out and often, when there is failure, taking it hard and not being introspective but rather pulling up these definitions, and social constructs and gender stereotypes to 'blame'. What's funny is that no one would deny that finding partners you can click with is fairly rare, meaning you…

If a woman is working hard to earn a living for herself, she will NOT want a man who does not pull HIS own weight. Also guys on here talk about 'women don't go for ugly guys'. I still feel that goes both ways. The trick is trying to NOT attach all kinds of gender assumptions when you meet A person. It's not that it's the most important, but you do focus on the things that are absent in your life. Maslow's hierarchy and all. For those who crave closeness, people to share thoughts with, grow with, special moments, feeling true safety/comfort/love with another person who has your back...I mean it's a special feeling. The OP isn't concerned one iota with the education of women...just a hint. Nor is he aware that some of the reasons for this disparity in the student loan load is that often parents prioritize their 'male' child and save money for HIM to go to college. Not assuming anything, I'm just saying that in a legal marriage, it doesn't matter in the courts. If you're married, anything that happens in the marriage is legally 'consented to' unless you leave the marriage. If your wife withdraws a large chunk of money and gambles it away, without your knowlegde, the courts still default to 'a marital decision' so that's a marital loss. If your husband beats you up and you don't press charges, and you stay married, you can't go back 'later' and sue him for …

They can neither know, or not know this. Within the confines of a marriage, certain things are assumed. And when you 'build a life' with someone, and reap rewards of what you've built, the courts believe that life gets split when the marriage splits. So let's say if one partner starts a business venture, works 14 hour days and the second partner also works full time and they both come home, no dinner made, dirty house, they're exhausted and no one shops or cooks or cleans very much. One partner …

If you have a partner, and you grow your business, no court could state unequivocally that your partner did NOT contribute to YOUR ability to grow your business. Giving moral support, holding down the fort, providing you companionship and support, having someone making money that gave you a sense of security to take risks with your business, you can't say you benefit nothing from a supportive partner. To me I kind of wish we could treat each other as apples and oranges :) Both excellent fruits, you can grow them, eat them, cook with them, but they're very different. Well I mean this is fairly obvious and awful that it hasn't been talked about enough. Just because it doesn't occur as frequently, doesn't mean it should be ignored, and if we women understand how difficult it is to speak about it happening to us, there is a whole other layer of stigma attached to boys and men speaking about/reporting it. It needs to be talked about so any victim of abuse can come forward and understand what happened was wrong and they are not alone.

Men-on-men violence has been around since the beginning of time. Men fight for territory, for property, for honour, for sport, for entertainment, for women...I mean think of roman times, fighting in the arenas, against each other, against animals, I don't know the entire psychology around it but testosterone-driven, alpha stuff. So in GOT, this is all 'how things were back in the day', and the barbaric practices are obviously not supposed to be symbolic of what is and is not acceptable today.

I largely agree with what you're saying...I don't really know the best 'way' to achieve it is, without making one group or another feel as though they're suffering. I think what we have to remember is that women are being educated now in higher numbers than before so yes, we can expect them to be more present in the colleges/universities/apprenticeships than before. There were huge pushes to convince women to enter into previously male-dominated fields so that all girls in the future see they 'c…

Wow. A lot of things happened in the past that shouldn't have. If they started the draft process today, I am certain they would not, could not, force men only to serve. You are projecting a lot of incorrect 'stuff'....like I don't know where to begin. How do men pay for me when I work full time and pay taxes, and property taxes...? You can't break down taxes the way you are suggesting...people pay taxes that go towards road improvements but ride bikes. People with no kids still pay school taxes.…

So why are boys in schools being ordered to apologise to girls on behalf of their male gender? I have never heard of that happening, that is weird...so like all the boys line up and say sorry to all the women for their gender? I feel like there is more to this? Why are male students being taught mandatory consent classes in schools, colleges and universities? I think everyone is being taught about consent. And so they should be. Sexual assault is happening (fact) and often times it's, what I can…

hmmm...there is an expectation that men pay for first dates...I don't think that's right...whoever asks should pay. (especially now that women are working moreso...that dated tradition should be pushed to the curb). I get to wear skirts to work instead of stuffy suits. Are you getting at something? When I'm talking about getting what you need, I'm saying, people should, in areas of human rights, get what they need. Every child should get the an equal education, each person should have basic health care, even if one person goes more because of asthma and another barely uses it...we all pay so that people get health care (I'm in Canada...so we do that here). As for defending society...you mean like the draft? Has that happened recently? Women do join the military, I don't think anyone is for…

Yikes re your gf's work. I've never heard of that, it's indeed absolutely wildly wrong. I don't know in what capacity your gf has to state or call herself a woman, but she should be able to...that's wild. And bottom line is we CAN prop people up and look after their rights without diminishing the rights of others. There's plenty of equality to be had for all. Giving one person basic human rights does not take anything out of the 'rights bucket' of others. No one should call you names because of …

Actually I think I came across wrong there, it was just addressing how people are allowed to deal in fact when it comes to gender...if women's hair generally takes longer to get cut, we should pay more for hair cuts than the 'general' man. And we do. Never mind that my hair is short...I still pay $60 where the same place charges$28 for men's cuts...doesn't specify short cuts. I choose how long my hair is. I choose how safely I drive. I can't choose whether I'm born with a uterus or not.

Can insurance do it? I think they can do what they want...but I really don't think they should do it for either gender nor race..it's just that they are able to state facts and adjust their insurance in a way that decreases their risk...why can't we talk facts and deal with it when it comes to gun violence? What people may need to do though is talk about 'why'. Why are men more predisposed than women to commit gun crimes? Then what can we do to help target that and help the men/boys figure out w…

I agree...I don't think it's right, I just think that they're using stats that speak so strongly about a gender and their driving habits that they state it, as fact. So the original post was stating as fact that most mass shooters are men. Fact. But let's look into WHY that might be before we vilify men and call it a 'men's problem.

Agree....although I don't think anyone is putting all men in a box of being violent, creepy, sexual predators. Most men I know are NOT those things, and I imagine that's true of most women and the men in their lives.

I think that's wholly unfair, but let's say I agree. How do we deal with the parts about men being biologically built faster/stronger than women? You can't say 'we should lift boxes at the same weight and speed'. It physically can't happen. That's why there are men's and women's events. We may train or try just as hard but will be limited. And men can't bear children, does that mean they won't make excellent fathers? Just because they didn't carry a baby, they can't take time off to parent their…

i'm not a men's rights nor a women's rights advocate, but people in general and I think it's very important what you did, to pick up on these things when they get left off. Just because (let's say) misogyny was a more widespread issue, doesn't mean that misandry should be left off the list. If we get used to protecting EVERYONE'S rights, we are more likely to look at people in general, not just fight for one group's set of rights. Like sexual assault, just because it happens more to women doesn'…

I actually agree 100% with what you're saying, but sometimes for something to happen, it has to be mandated. You're not telling one guy he can't have a job because of things he didn't do to people he's never met, you're giving the job to an equally qualified person who 'should' be more visible in the workplace but is not often because of discriminatory hiring practices (I'd rather not hire women, they leave to have kids and it's a huge hassle). I mean, how else can you 'tell' people to be fair i…

Actually I was just pointing out that as a business, this is how you can look at stats to make informed decisions (risks, etc). Personally, I think that all people should pay the same in insurance unless given a reason to pay more. In government and the basics we pay to have provided for us, not as a business, as a government for the people, we should all get access to health care at an equitable level...I can't help that I'm a woman and have a uterus that may fail one day and need help. If dads don't take days off to deal with babies it's because they have their wife do it. So the women do the favour of taking the hit for the 'larger bread winner' so he can continue to be a model employee, never taking a day off 'because baby' because his wife is. So his wife takes a day off 'because baby' and now she's the bad one. What if wife said to husband, I can't take the day off, you need to. Is he a bad employee for that? No. You can't penalize a couple for having a baby, if everyone b…

I totally agree...there are equal but different issues facing men than women. It's not a competition, there should be understanding and appreciation on both sides. Ok, I agree with a lot of what you're saying...still trying to understand this huge advantages you say women have. That's a head scratcher. But my school example was, if each kid went to the school they wanted, and one kid's school happened to cost more, and the parents decided their goal was getting both kids their education, then it's not like they'd necessarily short the expensive school kid of 20,000 simply to make it 'equal'. Being pretty isn't a right. If it is, I'd like to speak to the manager. Equality is everyone gets the same thing. Equity is that everyone gets what they need to achieve an equal outcome. But all of this is in regards to the things that matter. No one is owed equity in beauty. While I agree with what you're saying on an individual basis...men having unpleasant experiences with losing jobs to women...how often is that happening versus how often women lost jobs to men? People lose jobs to people. Women have been shut down in the workplace a great deal for many decades and while I don't find it laughable per say, that men are upset about it, I do find it ironic. Ok, so you own an insurance company. You run your stats. You see who claims the most in insurance, and during what age category, or with what kind of cars/motorcycles...you're still going to grant everyone coverage for the same fee? They do this too for medical...if I have a family history of heart issues, I pay more. No fault of my own. At some point, you do have to look at statistics. I mean, what did they do to 'earn' that 2.5M? It was money the other person EARNED or HAD before marriage therefore primarly theirs. Texas law says the max child support is 2K per year? That has to be wrong. That's not enought to buy food for a kid for a year, let alone anything else.... and law is not set to 'bankrupt men'...it's to protect the lesser income earner from being left holding the bag after contributing to a marriage in the home, not being a main wage earner (raising children, supporting the spouses's business, etc.)

Could change the whole thing by saying it's wrong for someone bigger and stronger to hit someone smaller/weaker'. 'Pick on someone your own size' is probably the most un-sexist way to explain that :) That addresses the whole 'the average man's punch has the likelihood of causing more damage than the average woman's. What is your concern here? That the statistic was shared, or that it was posted as a 'we should hate men because they shoot more people?' Who are the 'girls in the backyard'? Students? Is the backyard a school yard? It sounds like they're teachers but you're calling them girls? I'm the mom of a son and a daughter. Girls can be soooo mean. Guys deal with their crap usually fairly simply, they tell a guy he's being a jerk, they cool down then they're friends again. So I feel this isn't a 'man' thing, it's a 'highest income earner' thing. If a man and woman come in to a relationship, and the divorce, the man doesn't have to give anything he owns, but he can collect alimony from the woman, to keep him living the lifestyle he had become accustomed to...same as when it's the other way around.
