My wife wants to be a parent even less than I do. Edit: And just to clarify, I've had a vasectomy because I do not want to be a parent even one iota. And she still wants to be one less!

what's a black piller anyway? I was given mine as default when they gave everyone "pill" flairs, based on what my flair said when it was just text. I lean "blue," but don't call myself "blue," because I do think that trp can lead people to the life they want. I just think if that is the life they want, they really aren't very good or moral people.

Child support payments are a thing, you know. I just don't understand your passion for only raising your kids. You could explain your reasoning to me, but we have such a different moral understandings of the world and value systems that you might as well be speaking Greek, for all that I would truly understand.

you don’t get to see your bloodline benefit The fact the that is an issue to anyone, save maybe a member of a royal bloodline, is completely baffling to me. My wife and I are child free, I don't want to be around any kids, mine or someone else's, so maybe I'm just not wired to understand. Seems like a really shitty attitude, though. To be fair, though, I do agree most people shouldn't date single mothers-their kids deserve more than they would get.

Baltimore waitresses are famous for using "hun." It really is a cultural institution there. A restaurant owner trademarked the word "hun" a while back. The city....was NOT happy about that. (The restaurant was on some restaurant makeover show, Gordon Ramsey's I think, a few years ago. She ended up relinquishing the trademark (I think to the city of Baltimore) because she was getting so much hate over it.

So, Rand is a genius, and Joyce is trash..... Something tells me that we will never belong to the same book club.

Honest question: do you like her writing, itself, or only the philosophical ideas, contained within? I can (almost) understand finding inspiration from her ideas, but her actual writing/storytelling? It would be an insult to hacks everywhere to call her one.

I didn't even go into the rant about how, in addition to all chores, I also had to help my parents at the produce market they had. With "room and board" being payment enough for getting up at 2:30am weekends to work until almost 5pm. But I'm not bitter. Nope, more than 20 years ago. Certainly not bitter about it still.... Okay, maybe just a little.

I was an only child. What the hell is a "girl chore"? Those dishes needs to be washed, a load of laundry needs to be put in, that grass isn't going to mow itself, and it doesn't matter what I had between my legs, I was the one doing it.

Depends what you mean by "works." I have no doubt that trip can get you laid by a certain......type of woman, but to dedicate your life to nothing more than a series of notches on your bedframe, with women that are too stupid to see through emotional games, seems to me to be a pretty pathetic excuse for a life.

I don't think this guy is an "introvert," I think he's on the autism spectrum. And I'm not saying that as a personal attack, I legitimately think this guy has a mild(?) case of being on the spectrum. He mentions in one of his comments how much loud noises bother him.....that is considered a symptom. His inability to think that social rules apply to him, or really, just dismissing them out of hand, completely..... Him being autistic would explain how frustrating trying to talk to him was. It's not the case that people who are introverted aren't social whatsoever. Did you not catch where I said I was also an introvert? I'm fully aware. At the same time, all you seem to be doing is complaining and whining about the advice that is being given to introverts, which can be boiled down to "Take yourself out of your comfort zone and be social. Even if you don't like it." You're going back and forth and contradicting yourself: saying you can be social to me, then saying that you're more i…

I'm sorry you seem to think that I'm talking about you, specifically. I tried to make it clear with that last comment that I was speaking of a theoretical/rhetorical introvert, not you specifically. You really should quit taking things so personally.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/04/16 08:33 AM
3

Well, then I guess if the true introvert doesn't want to be social, they should just come to terms that doing social things, like dating and fucking, are probably going to be off the table to them.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/04/16 08:08 AM
3

No one has said introverts have to change, just that they need to put forward the effort to be social (even if they don't really want to be) if they want to date. Like I said, sex (and dating) is inherently social. How do you expect to engage in a social activity without being the least bit social? Do you think you (or any other introvert) can just stand there and that will magically be enough?

If you're going to go playing the dictionary game: power: 2. the capacity or ability to direct or influence the behavior of others or the course of events. Physical power is not the only type of "power" that can be exerted on an object (or person.)

I assumed that the average red piller had the courage to let women know what they really thought of them, rather than just hiding behind angry internet diatribes. My mistake for assuming that, if lying to these women (and later writing to their "bros" what they were thinking, and wish they could have said at the time) is a part of that famous "amoral sexual strategy."
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/15 01:11 AM

Sorry. I shouldn't have used the word "guaranteed." I'm sure that there is a smart, successful, strong woman woman out there, somewhere, who might fall for the guy who tells her that she doesn't know what loyalty means and has the emotional development of a teenager, at best. That she has exactly the same shitty traits as all other women, because AWALT. Yup, all sorts of really great women must fall for those lines. All the time. No, really. I mean it, and not being sarcastic, at all.

They use tactics that are guaranteed to only work on the "lowest common denominator," then make posts posts about how horrible women are. Yes, I would think that if you are surrounding yourself with only "broken" women, pretty soon you're going to think that all women are broken. They (edit: a bit of generalizing here), through their world view and actions, become their own self-fulfilling prophecies.

I'm not sure which debates on here you think your side always wins. Nothing I've read from your side has in any way convinced me that trp isn't an ideology founded on insecurities turned outward. Yes, red pill tactics might get you laid.....by insecure, damaged women with no self confidence and daddy-issues. If that is what your goals in life are, more power to you, but don't be surprised when a lot of people find it more than a little sad and pathetic.

I am reading, I just don't agree. Intent follows the bullet, as it were. By having sex, the man places himself in the position where he may become a father, unless due deligence is followed. The act of sex is consent to the risks that come with it. Legal justice is only one of many meanings of the word "justice". There is also economic justice (a'la John Rawls), and "karmic" justice, as I used it.

Because of biology. She's the one that has it in her for 9 months. if you carried the baby then it would be your choice. edit: and again, NEVER have sex with someone who wouldn't have an abortion, wear a condom, and get snipped and this will never be an issue for you. edit2: "Unjust"? You know what is "unjust"? Kids in cancer wards. Unplanned pregnancies is just carelessness.

The man has a chacne to decide whether we are willing to run the chance of becoming a father: right before we stick our dick in. Why in god's name someone would ever have sex with a woman that they didn't 100% know would have an abortion in case of accidental pregnancy, when he didn't want to be a father, is beyond me.

I'm a little confused as to how you think my claim is vague. There are some cases where men have the privilege. In other cases, it is women who have the privilege. Who has the privilege depends on the particular case and context, so blanket statements like "men are more priviliged" or "women are more privileged" are meaningless ....much like conversations with people being willfully dense.

I can play the dictionary game, too. having fallen below a normal or desirable level To view people as lesser beings (as the Madonna/whore dichotomy inherent in rp philosophy entails) is below the level of empathy that should be desirable in society. Society that degenerates into strictly selfish and small-minded beliefs, where everyone is out to obtain only their own wants and desires is far from desirable. Yes. Well, that is what it should mean, but there are people who use it simply as a pejorative against any type of person concerned about social justice. A feminist shouldn't necessarily be considered a SJW, but a radical feminist who thinks that every white man is the ultimate scourge on Earth should be. There are those, though, that would call either one a SJW. Its kind of a loaded term that has different meanings depending on who uses it.

Sure I would. To the same woman that I'm married to now. I truly love her with all of my heart, and would no matter if I was stronger, richer, or more powerful. "But," the TRPs might say, "if you were those things, you'd be able to have sex with more women." Which is true. I would be able to. But my wife and I are in an open marriage, so I'd still be able to. "Oh." The trps might scoff. "Open marriage, huh? That just means your wife wants to go sleep with other people without consequences." Well…

You don't need to be any pill to recognize that. I'm neither red nor blue (though, to be fair, my sympathies definitely lean more towards blue) and I understand that. "Social justice" is a great thing, and something to definitely be concerned about. A "SJW," on the other hand, tends to take things a bit far, and is more concerned with proving that they are more oppressed than the next person, and that every problem in life that any minority (defined however they see fit) is directly due to straight white men. Actually, just "white men" in general; a lot of them don't have very high opinions of gay white men, either.

It goes in waves. I used to post there quite a bit, because I like making fun of radfems and radMRAs as much as the next guy. Lately, though, it just seems to be a bunch of whining MRAs who have convinced themselves that it is really white males who are the most oppressed group.

Maybe. He very well might be a genius at what he does (genetics wise), it just really isn't what interests me. No matter how knowledgeable or well written it is, it just sort of makes my eyes glaze over. Which is fine. I've just started reading Piketty's "Capital in the Twenty-First Century", and I'm sure other people would have the same reaction to that. A man who loves other men is not degenerate. A married couple who chose to be childfree is not degenerate. Someone who chooses to believe in the dichotomy of every woman being a Madonna or a whore is a bit degenerate, though. edit: spelling

I disagree with him being accessible or interesting. Even when I agree with him I find him to be such a smug, pompous ass that I quickly lose interest and stop reading. Any problem that neither I nor anybody I know haven't experienced probably isn't that common. Do bad things happen to some people? Absolutely. But just like a woman shouldn't live in fear of every man because some men have raped some women, men shouldn't live in fear of women. Both atitudes are sad, and quite frankly, pretty pathetic.

MGTOW If only they would go their own way, instead of stewing in their own anger and bitterness, obsessing about things that almost certainly will not happen to them. Or, maybe I'm just the exception. I'm almost 40, and not a single one of these things have ever happened, but I'm probably just a special case.

Again, there is nothing wrong with feeling that way about sex. You have every right to think that sex should be special, and you have every right to only want to date women who share your sense of morals. Its fine to think sex is special, and should only be with someone special. Not everybody agrees, though. I, for one, think that there is a huge difference between sex and intimacy. That has always annoyed me about many red pills. The main rationale I have been given for that during several internet arguments conversations is that it is harder for a man to sleep around than it is for a woman. I'd wager that most women would want strong and confident men. I'm not disagreeing with that part, nor do I find anything wrong with it. It was the "wanting to be a door-mat" to them that I find unhealthy.

The TRP strategy for getting sex is giving women what they actually want I think that there are a lot of people out there who have been conditioned and socialized into wanting to be door-mats to someone "stronger", so that part of your response to me I can (sort of) agree with. Feminism: the belief in equality of opportunities between the sexes. The belief that one's gender should have little to no bearing on the opportunities for the life they wish to lead. Unfortunately, "radfems" seem to be who is most thought of with the term "feminism," and this group simply wants to exchange the existing power structure for another, rather than striving towards true equality. I recommend you read up on your post-WWI history a little bit better. American women were "blessed" with the right to vote because the suffragists took to the streets and fought for it, at huge risk of injury and/or jail (which had truly barbaric conditions in them.)

Some things aren't really worthy of "tolerance" though. I don't really suffer fools, myself, and racists, sexists and homophobes are fools in my opinion. Now, you are, of course, free to disagree. You have freedom of thought, and I can't force you to think a certain way. I sure as hell can judge you for those thoughts, though. And judge you, I do.

I guess this is what you get for expecting a "satire" (wink, wink) That is one thing I actually agree with you trps about. The blue pill isn't really "satire." Granted, they think you all are delusional, stupid, bat shit insane, overall just really scuzzy people, or (most likely) a combination of all of them, but it isn't really a "satire," for the most part. What is a better term than "satire sub?? An "openly mocking" sub, maybe?

That isn't really a gender role, though. That's just being a douche. I don't particularly care for most sports (other than baseball) because they bore me. I didn't grow up watching them (although I did play Little League), so I never really developed an interest in them. 100 pound andro guys don't bother me....as long as that is who they are naturally. Sometimes younger gay men are like that, but an exageratted version when they are still trying to figure out what it means to be a gay man. Somet…

Sure. You could call it that. It was only appropriate for one part of my identity, though. I was in the navy at the time....glitter was fine when I was at the raves, but leaving my base dressed that way meant I had to cross my fingers and hope that no officer/petty officer/chief etc. saw me dressed like that. (I ended up getting kicked out for drugs. Go figure. Huge shock there.) My group of friends who would go to the raves with me might have worn a sparkly shirt, or something along those lines…

Well, then we're just back to me liking my beard. At one point, though, I definitely played around with gender identity expression norms. At times I was a raver and wore a lot of sparkly glitter. Once I glued my eye shut trying to put on fake lashes. Other times I would go out in a pink tutu (paired with a wife-beater and combat boots.) I was never really trying to look "girly" (despite the make-up and tutu), I was just trying to look shocking. And, quite frankly, walking around in sparkly makeu…

In my household, I do the cooking and cleaning (at least in the kitchen), because I like cooking (and am better at it) more than my wife. Many people would call that "feminine." I don't, but plenty of people would and do. Meanwhile, my wife is much better at talking to salesmen and car mechanics, as well as being handier with tools..."masculine" traits. For us, it isn't about trying to either fit into, or consciously ignore, gender roles. It is about the best person doing the task at hand.

The fact that you would call a woman you hope to have some kind of relationship (be it "Relationship" or casual sex) with as "the enemy" really speaks volumes. That right there is why I think red pill philosophy is truly disgusting.

Because TRP philosophy turns relationships into a zero-sum game, with a "winner" and a "loser," instead of a healthy relationship built on trust and mutual respect. "But women do the same thing" says the chorus of terpers. And some do, that is true. Those women, though, I view with the same contempt as I view red pillers. "They're shitty, so I can be shitty, too." is a pretty fucked up way of living.

Why seek out the external entity of college to give you the sense of pride if you are already a proud man. Having pride doesn't assume that I know all of the answers, or that I wouldn't benefit from being exposed to other people's beliefs, and hearing, and participating, in debates and conversations in class. I have pride, not hubris. I know that I do not know everything. Nice try with the armchair psychology, though.

Because I wanted to improve myself. For my own sake-my wife couldn't have cared less whether or not I went to college (She is a college grad herself, but has a very dim view of academia). Lots of different kinds. Early 90s alternative. Old school punk. New Wave. No Wave. Other types of post-punk. Trip hop. Outlaw country. Southern rock. Some rap (90s NY/east coast preferred.) Proto-punk (The Dictators, New York Dolls, Iggy Pop, etc). 60s garage. Old school soul (Stax over Motown). Various other genres of oldies. Mississippi delta blues. Qawwali (Sufi music from Pakistan). It really depends on my mood. My tastes are pretty eclectic.

Nevertheless, nobody would say that a petty thief was robbing for "power" The argument has been made in certain schools of thought in anthropology and (especially) sociology that there exists a certain power dynamic embedded in the act of robbery. Not saying whether or not they are right (I think, though, that there is a certain amount of truth to it), but those arguments do exist.

I guess really you can never really know anything that is in the head of others, but based on readings I have done, coupled with the knowledge that there are a lot easier, less risky ways to get laid other than raping somebody, it seems logical that that is the case. I don't doubt that there are a HUGE amount of unreported rapes, but I'm still not sure how you can say with certainty that the majority will be unreported. Not at all. Fun, love, intimacy are all important consequences of sex. Sex, just like everything else in life, is not without risks, though. There is always the chance that a pregnancy will occur. In the first case, then that woman should be in jail, and the father's family should have custody (with extra assistance from the state if it would be a financial burden on the family while the mother is in jail. Once she is out, then she takes over payments.) Rapists (even statutory rapists) do not deserve to raise their children. I'm fine with unmarried fathers having custody. No, both genders get a choice. The man's choice comes when he is deciding to have sex. If he doesn't want to be a parent, he wears a condom. If he REALLY doesn't want to be a parent, then he doesn't have vaginal intercourse. The man ALWAYS has a choice of whether or not he wants to engage in the behaviors that might lead to pregnancy. That is 100% his choice (barring him getting raped) and nobody can take that choice away from him. But, no, he doesn't get the second chance to not become a parent…

I don't agree with your point. A woman having an abortion is dealing with the consequences. I fully support a woman's right to choose an abortion for herself. (Quite frankly, I think it is a choice more woman should make. Not being a woman myself, it isn't my call, though.)

You know, the man has complete control over a woman's pregnancy. If you're worried about her getting pregnant and being stuck with child support for the next 18 years (more if they go to college), then don't put your dick in her. Otherwise, man the fuck up and face the consequences of your actions.

It doesn't show a lack of impulse control, at all. Go back to the example that canned_wine gave higher in the thread, except switch women for men. A woman who has had 50 sexual partners, started having sex when they were 16 and are currently 35 means they have only had 3 sexual partners a year. That hardly sounds like a lack of impulse control or "slutty" behavior. edit: 2.63 sexual partners a year, if you want to get more precise.

Just wanted to clarify, "radicals" generally refers to people on the left. "Reactionaries" is basically the equivalent term for people on the right. That is not entirely correct. The term "radical right" was coined in the 1950s by social scientists to describe the John Birch society. You can also describe fascism as "radical right" not "reactionary." It isn't that fascists don't want to change their society-quite the opposite, they want to make radical, fundamental changes to their society, just…
