I wake up, shower, get dressed, feed my dog, put the lunch boxes on our bags, run out, catch the bus, go to work, work, have lunch, work, catch the bus, go home, make dinner and lunch, eat, sleep. It does not better me in any way

A 20 square meter room is pretty big, tbh. When I was living by myself I was living in an 11 square meter room. The thing is that it isn't the same when you're not by yourself. My things fit in two drawers. It's mostly stuff to fix things around the house and art supplies

I'm not a technician but I like to keep my nails decent at least, and I can't afford going to a salon. There's not much to ditch. I have a bed and a shelf in my room. Then a sofa/single bed, a desk/dining table, a chair a small dresser in the living room. That's it. If it was a studio I'd be OK with it, I lived in a studio and I didn't mind too much tbh

I know, it annoys me beyond words. They store everything. Once my dad stored a broken toaster "to turn into an air heater". He kept it for almost 15 years until it rusted away. They are ALL very stubborn about this topic, it's kinda sensitive. I have an empty shoe cabinet on the entrance because my husband won't let me get rid of it. We have a closet upstairs for shoes, those with molds to put the shoes on so they don't lose their shape and everything, why would we need a tiny shoe cabinet at th…

Yeah, true, I agree with that. They didn't give me the bed now, it was 10 years ago... But my family has a weird tradition of storing everything cause "it might be useful some day". My husband's family works like that too and so does he so I'm kinda alone against everyone else on this one

Oh, no, I didn't mean the house. I meant the bed. My parents bought a bed for me when I was single but obviously when I got married we needed a double bed. Now the bed is kinda serving as a couch cause there's nowhere else to put it. The house is rented

Ok, here's what I think. He's aware of the situation but he's blocked, he doesn't know how to deal with it and gets even more stunned the worse it gets. Try to change your approach and try to understand what's blocking him. A crazy thought, you should probably let go. Tell him "you know what? Who cares. It will turn out fine. And if it doesn't, oh well. We'll see then". I think it might unload the pressure he's feeling and also put him in charge of taking care of it. Another thing that could hel…

Well, their reason is actually nice. They want to give it to my kids. The only problem is that I won't be having kids for the next two years, I barely have space for two of us. Also it's not a kids bed so it would only be at use in 10 years from now or so. I tried moving furniture around, mainly. It took a while to come to an agreement between me and hubby. I guess I need to rearrange again tbh. The window is tiny and badly placed. I like the idea of the stained glass but it would block even mor…

Take over. Part of being a good wife is caring for your husband, right? If it is that serious, take over, but let him think it was his decision. Tell him you're worried and you wish you could help. Then tell him you have lots of time on your hands and ask him if he'd like you to take care of it so that it isn't a burden for him. But for God's sake, take over

Tbh it will come handy when I have kids or at least an extra room for guests, but right now is really not helping much 😔 I had a huge house before this one (4 bedroom, huge kitchen, huge living room, 2 bathrooms, 4 balconies) so I have a bit too much furniture. I gave most of it away already
/r/RedPillWomen16/05/19 03:30 PM
1

Cause they bought it and it was awfully expensive. They won't take it back but they'll find me ungrateful if I sell it or give it away. I mentioned that already and they got really offended

Yeah that's another thing. Since my husband lives there too, that might be a problem. But now that I think about it, that might be the reason why I'm so unpleased with the house lately. My husband brought two huge half rotten cardboard boxes full of video-games from his mom's. We do have where to put them but he left the boxes in the middle of the living room. I can't put them away cause he wants to store them by... Idk, genres or something, so it has to be him. Maybe that's what's been making m…

I guess my main struggle is that I'm slightly claustrophobic and I get anxious when I'm at home. Also it has very little sun light (there's only a tiny window in the top corner of the living room), which doesn't help either... Cleaning is OK, I guess. I wish I'd have more space, in general. I know getting rid of the bed/couch would help a lot... But my parents would be so mad at me

I can't really invest right now. I will buy the chair though, I can do that much. The house is rented, I can't change much. It's also not an open space, all the rooms are separated by thick walls that take up even more space. The bottom floor is around 250sqft and it has a kitchen, the living/dining room/study, a bathroom and a terrace. There's also a built-in shelf/library thingy
/r/RedPillWomen16/05/19 02:50 PM

Right now I'm... A bit financially handicapped. I will buy furniture as soon as I am financially stable but I kinda wanted to turn that house into a home, without spending money, you know what I mean?
/r/RedPillWomen16/05/19 02:47 PM
1

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the advice but I'm in a financial struggle right now and will be for a few months, so buying furniture or even lap trays is far-fetched. I'm looking for tips exactly on what you mentioned, how to turn a house into a home. And tbh RPW is the group I know that is more likely to be helpful with that matter, cause I don't see homes anymore on most houses 😔

I can fit some foldable chairs but the desk is the only thing close to a table I can get. The good part is that it is basically a huge glass desk with sleek feet, so it doubles as table easily

The space upstairs is OK, since it's just the bedroom and the bathroom. It's the bottom floor that bothers me. I can't get rid of the bed though. My parents bought it for me when I was single and they won't take it back, but won't let me sell it or give it away either

When I moved in, I made a 3D floor plan to rearrange the furniture, I can see if I can find it and send it

Yeah but that's not really what I was asking. It's more if there are some strategies I can use to be happier or at least more confortable about my house
/r/RedPillWomen16/05/19 01:50 PM

But tbh it really just has a desk, a bed that doubles as sofa and a small dresser. The problem is not the 50m², is it being divided in two floors, which means each floor has 25m². The upper floor is ok, which is basically a bedroom and a small bathroom. The bottom floor has a kitchen (regular one, with walls and all, which takes up even more space), a living room, a laundry room and a small terrace

Yeah, I get your point. About the really bad SAHM, I guess that depends on where you live. In the US it's pretty common to be a SAHM but in my country, for example, it's mostly the women from the countryside who never really had a stable school education who are SAHM. There are many reasons. One of them is tradition, since the most uneducated people are usually the most traditional ones since their reasoning is not widely stimulated, thus being more inclined to accept what they are told. The sec…

Quick question, does he want a girlfriend or a self-sustaining maid? I guess you need to figure that out and then decide if you want to deal with the answer
/r/RedPillWomen21/04/19 01:16 PM

Nice. Here's kinds different because most vegetables and fruits are imported cause it's cheaper
/r/RedPillWomen21/04/19 12:54 PM

No, I mean struggling to eat or have clothes at all. But as I said, that's in my country. My sister in law was raised in a farmer's family and there were times when she and her family would go for days without eating until they could hunt wild pigeons with rocks. It's probably not the same there, that's why I said it's a matter of analyzing of it works
/r/RedPillWomen21/04/19 12:28 PM
10

I guess that's possible in some places. It's just a matter of analyzing where you live and the possibilities to live that way. I would never try that because I would be condemning my kids to live a life of poverty but then again I wouldn't be able to stay at home either. We both work full time (40 hours/week) and pick up as many side jobs and extra hours as we can, so my country is not really the best example

You're welcome :) also, a piece of unsolicited advice, sometimes a good relationship is worth more than tradition and society. Try to reach an agreement instead of fighting about it
/r/RedPillWomen02/04/19 04:35 PM

I wouldn't put either, I have a short signature that's basically the first letter of my first name and the 3 first letters of my second name. If it had to be really two names I'd put my first first name and my husband's last last name
/r/RedPillWomen02/04/19 04:26 PM
1

I live in Portugal, we usually add the husband's last name. For example I have two first names, two names from my mom, two names from my dad and will get two names from my husband. That's the standard here
/r/RedPillWomen02/04/19 04:10 PM
1

Wait don't mind me. This is probably a cultural crash, I'll research about names in the US
/r/RedPillWomen02/04/19 04:08 PM

Why not just adding it normally?
/r/RedPillWomen02/04/19 04:07 PM

I'm confused, what do you mean with adding your name?
/r/RedPillWomen02/04/19 04:06 PM

Right? A real man is proud of his wife and if he has nothing to be proud of, why did he get into a relationship to begin with?
/r/RedPillWomen01/04/19 08:05 AM

Honestly I think he's using you to either not be alone or get over his ex. I foresee a future of being cheated on for you. If a man truly loves his wife/girlfriend he won't be cold just because she does stuff for him and will be proud to introduce her to the people he cares about. For me him having you sit on another table is outrageous and a HUGE red flag. I wouldn't say you need to pull away a little, I'd say you need to pull off and exit the ride.

My husband and I aren't legally married, but our relationship status is legally equivalent to marriage here, so it left us in a weird situation in which we kinda could choose what to call each other. He never had any kind of problem with saying "my girlfriend", so he kept referring to me like that. I had all kinds of troubles for saying "my boyfriend", so I went with "my husband". I guess women have it worse.
/r/RedPillWomen27/03/19 09:10 AM
1

I trust him but I also know his limits. He's not almighty nor flawless and no human is, man or woman. I'll give you an example. The kitchen counter's door broke. I could have fixed it but I didn't. I told him "the door broke". The door remained broken for two months until we moved to a new house. There's nothing I can do to change the fact that he's not good with fixing, that's not the issue here. Can't I not control while keeping the fixing etc?
/r/RedPillWomen25/03/19 05:53 PM
1

Well, about being the main provider he doesn't really have a choice, it's the job he could get and I'm happy he's able to help with the bills. I was raised by my dad, he was raised by his mom. It comes natural to me do men stuff. I can give him the control, but who will do the fixing, the painting, etc? Is it OK to just let things fall apart? And what kind of things can I let him decide? Should I force him to take decisions? And how can I do that?
/r/RedPillWomen25/03/19 01:28 PM

He doesn't have the skill or the money. He makes way less than me and his paycheck isn't enough to pay rent. We are somewhat struggling so we can't fit outside help in the budget. I guess I committed a mistake when I took charge for everything for the last two years and now I'm getting tired...

He's very supportive and he helps me heal and improve myself, tbh. He is indeed a good husband, I wouldn't try to make it easier on him otherwise. His mom never really cleaned her house either way, so she couldn't care less. I am so disgusted by her house that sometimes I get cleaning products with me to the bathroom to clean it before I pee and wash everything before I cook. She is a communist feminist to the core
/r/RedPillWomen21/03/19 11:36 AM
1

I would love to be able to do that but he doesn't want to take charge. Not sure if that's the reason but he was raised only by his mom, who's a communist feminist. He kinda has that mindset. I don't nag him, that's the main reason why I'm asking you. I don't feel like he should be forced to do house chores either but I can't do it alone so I'd like to find a way for him to actually want to do it and have fun while at it. I talked to him about it many times and he starts helping but he gets bored…

Honestly, him wanting to buy a house under both names sounds like he's really invested with living with you. I don't know how rents work there but here he'd be right. I pay 3 times more per month while renting than I would buying. You can try to look for apartments yourself and set it up to see it, that's what I did. Basically we had a financial hiccup and had to move back to my parents for a while and I had to look for a new house. Ofc I'm now saying there's 0% chance he's not stalling but if h…

I had a polygamous relationship once. Worst thing I ever did. There's a paradox here, and that is that when you have a steady relationship based in trust it should allow side partners but the couple shouldn't need it/want it. When you have a rocky relationship it's more likely one of the parts of the couple will want it but there's no trust for that. Also when you add kids to the equation it doesn't work. OK so you're the main girl. Now the side girl gets pregnant. What now? I know some polyamor…

I've never used olaplex tbh. I guess the best tips are -don't wash every day, wash every other day and if you have oily hair maintain with dry shampoo -invest some time in finding out what brand is best for you (I love Schwarzkopf and Revlon) and what products and hair routines work best -massage your scalp every time you wash your hair until you feel it a bit warm (means blood is flowing) -cut off split ends. I cut them at home cause hair salons usually cut waaaay too much and then it's hell to…

Exactly. Wanting a wife who doesn't have an income regardless of how that makes her feel seems to me like a way of controlling that might end up in violence and I think violence is off-limits. A relationship must be based in respect and trust, not in control

Him being a bad person doesn't define your worth. About the financial matter, I always doubt a man who wants a woman who's financially dependent on him. It's one thing if a woman decided she wants to be a stay-at-home mom or wife, it's another if the husband wants her to be. So if it really was about she depending on him I guess you dodged a bullet

True, I noticed that too over the time. I'd like to take my husband but he hates shopping. My best guy friend would probably go though. He's brutally honest and we've been friends since we were kids and were like siblings or cousins, he even calls my parents "uncle" and "aunt" so I guess he's the right choice

Really nice store! I don't think they ship to Portugal though... Well... It's complicated. She has advice but her advices are usually obvious and not helpful at all. Oh wow, that's a great plan :o thank you so much! The jeans are not baggy though. They are kinda elastic so they kinda fit on the calves and thighs but are extremely large on the waist and hips. Second hand stores are not a big thing here, there are maybe a handful in the entire country. I guess I'll try to tailor some clothes but I usually don't have the time, I work full time and also have a business. The business doesn't have a steady amount of work though, it's more of a surge thing

Bar stools is actually a good idea, I'll look into it. I have a small living room (around 3m by 2m) but I'm putting a sofa/bed there to accommodate my parents and in-laws when they want to visit. We have a bedroom upstairs. There was the possibility of eating in the bedroom (I have a desk) but that annoys me for two reasons. One: it promotes my hubby's laziness and my work addiction and Two: the possibility of dropping food on the wooden floor
