The only reason I brought you up is because you said yourself that by this conversation you wont change your mind. I only agreed. I just think that if it's going to happen it will happen long time from now. I'm sorry that I covered my entire argument I guess. I mean sure these communities can give some individual benefits. This is a part of the community thing. If they instil a positive emotion or some minor positive changes in someones life (eating right, maybe a healthy hobby, or something) th…

I wouldnt even know how to tackle this because our reality would be so different from what it is today. Generally it would just be to support mens issues. If there were an over representation of women in courts to a point that it created such a big problem we would need to look at reasons and study it before blaming women. Like the study I linked. It sees that there is a problem in courts but doesnt come to the conclusion feminism or women are to blame. It sees this logically as an issue with ge…

I mean we both agree there is a problem. I blame societal gender norms and expectations. Like the study even analyzes as the issue. MGTOW blames women and feminism as shown by the overwhelming opinion of women in their communities. I havent turned a blind eye to anything really. I was very fair and understanding to the MGTOW mindset. I understand trauma and that there is problems with masculinity and society. No one has blamed men or ignored misandry. If you read I even said there was. At the en…

Ok you're literally doing just what I said but at least you're engaging. Around 30% of judges are women across courts and jurisdictions. So this already doesnt make sense. If women have significantly tipped the balance in power then they would over represent to display the power you have stated but it is still approaching 50 percent. This is across basically all powerful positions from government, to economic, to media women tend to under represented. So your characterization of the material con…

I mean if you actually brought an argument maybe. But I havent seen anything that really refutes what I said about MGTOW. The basic being that it is a community that uses a hateful us versus them to focus on women and feminists as a scape goat for their trauma and societal issues. If you are taking it back sure. But the idea tends to still be there. The idea that women and feminists dont care about men but should. Which is a nebulous and loaded assertion to begin with.

Yeah, I know you dont want to.

I mean yeah I do. MGTOW is mostly just an outlet to shit on women as a whole. Also progressivism and even more liberal ideologies. It's just a regular reactionary ideology. The hate comes first and the "supportive" community comes second. But people come there to feel accepted not actually be supported. Usually it's a lot of men who have been cheated on or some other traumatic expirience and have projected that expirience onto all women and/or feminists. Usually both or feminist hate that evolve…

I never really said anything particularly wrong. Generally feminists agree that male abuse is a problem not taken seriously hence why it fits into modern theories of masculinity quite nicely. And if you cant get men to care about male abuse then why do you want feminists to do the work for men? Pretty simple critques of the toxic MGTOW/MRA mindset.

Hard to break it to you but feminists agree with this. It's just not always up to this vauge idea of feminists to create these places. But I'm sure you will bring up some obscure thing to blame a strawman that this sub creates in its head a lot. But anyway we have to get men to care about male abuse. Why do you think male rape and abuse is mostly just a joke in sitcoms written by men?

I mean it does though. It's literally men trying so hard to prove there is an equivalent to Cosby to take down a womens careers based on very little of anything. What's the context because I find it hard to get the video or discover articles on it? Because doing this as an anecdote because you are poor is way different than what Cosby did as rape is never justifiable. These anecdotes of doing bad things to survive are also very common in the rap genre and in poverty in general because poverty br…

I was told that feminism was akin to a terrorist organization multiple times here. I'm all for gender equality, but this sub is gone.

While I agree with you. It's not hard to see why those type of characters might be attracted to MRA. You cannot really ignore them either. I've been told that feminism is a terrorist group by them for example. That doesn't sound like equal rights.

Oh how far this sub has fallen. It's actually sexist now.

I got told feminism is a terrorist organization for saying that the goal of feminism is gender equality. Sometimes it just seems this place just wants to complain and not actual equality.

This is pathetic. That is not feminism then as I said before. We are just talking in circles actually. I pity you to be honest. You're just a victim of the my side is the only right way thought on this site.

I'm sure there are but you're just derailing the point. Feminism and Men's rights fight for the same thing. It's like judging MRA organization for having a large Red Pill following.

That also rules out this sub then and men's rights activists. That's just with your definition.

Feminism: the advocacy of women's rights on the basis of equality of the sexes on the basis of equality of the sexes equality of the sexes Oh... Sorry, but the people you see on Tumblr aren't feminists.

What do women's rights activitist fight for? Women's rights. What do feminists fight for? Women's rights. Oh...they're the same thing.

Feminism and women's rights are basically the same exact thing. So I hold my point.

Being a feminist and a men's rights activist aren't exclusive. E. Things like "feminism is a terrorist group" are reasons why people continue not to take men's rights seriously. You guys seem to think that the people who you see on /r/tumblrinaction are feminists. They arent and gender equality is not a game of who has it worse.

I mean she's a bitch, but what is the usual sentence for this? Did he die or was he seriously injured? Looks like it wasn't something grave but the article doesn't specify anything. He broke her car mirror so he also provoked her. Thats actually a factor in this. Saying lock her up forever isn't how our justice system works or should work.

Is there such thing as male privilege? I'm willing to bet a lot of people here scoffed when they first heard about that. Men and women both have problems. The "we have it worse" argument doesn't get anyone anywhere. It just makes people complain for complaining sake.

No, but this controversy is pretty much done. I don't see a reason to bring it up anymore when it's been resolved and Sarah hasn't done anything like it since.

Feminism isn't bad. I know the people you're referencing and those are just sexists. Men have social problems and women have social problems we shouldn't deny either because of a group that uses their power the wrong way.

Could it also be friends playing around with each other? They aren't using it for hate but just using sarcasm. A large percentage could be all of the ones above too.

I know my campus has a police department. Isn't that pretty standard issue?
