I would LIKE to live in a world without Feminism or MRA, and instead put the energy into Human Rights. Same could be said for DEI and to Anti-Racist movement. The problem with all of these is that when one subset is put up as a victim, some other group is decided upon to be the villain. The easy example is Ghandi. He did not try to save the people of India by starting a Hindism movement. He knew that this would divide India and make the job of the British easier. He instead choose to force the B…

If you run the numbers by age, it looks something like: Single Men 20-30yo: 70% 30-40yo: 60% 40-50yo: 40% 50-60yo: 20% 60-70yo: 10% Single Women 20-30yo: 10% 30-40yo: 30% 40-50yo: 50% 50-60yo: 65% 60-70yo: 85% Or something like that. Basically men over 40 are highly sought after by women and women under 30 are highly sought after by men. There is another imbalance though in regards to children. Women are twice as likely to have a child before they die as men are. But the men who DO die with chil…

Thank you. Personally... my favorite cause is Human Rights. Easy to keep straight in my head and I no longer have to pick favorites. Just wish we could fold all of the colored ribbon lapel pins into one simple cause like that.

Two adults at a residence have dinner and drinks. Both consent to sex, both confirm consent, but consent was discussed and given AFTER alcohol was consumed. Q: Who raped who in this scenario? A: The one who penetrated the other is the rapist. The legal definition of rape has to do with penetration. Women who force men into intercourse are not guilty of rape under any legal statute. Only sexual assault. Which is why the stat of 99% of rapes are performed by men is totally BS. Obvious exception is…

Agreed, but not on the timeline. I think we have another 30 years of this shit-show before feminism is seriously examined. I don't think the tremors that happen in present time will even crack the surface for most of the world. I suspect it to go MUCH further before it reverses. I don't think the crisis of middle aged women will move the needle. I think the collapse of the elder-care facilities and Medicare as we know it in 30 years will be noticed. It's not talked about, but women live longer t…

Does the red pill help or harm men? Helps Helps men, and is either a wash, or slightly detrimental to women. Very similar (IMHO) to feminism, which helps women, and hurts men. But if your a disaffected young man red-pill is much better than other outlets of frustration. And this is where the peanut gallery gets it all wrong. You can't ignore or pacify frustration, it must have an outlet. And telling men that they are wrong, and that all the problems in the world are their fathers and grandfather…

Clinical trials don’t include equal numbers of women and men. Therefore the drugs we have are tested mostly on men (we don’t know the side effects optimal dosing etc. for us). I agree it’s changing; but men still have advantages in CARE not rates of disease. 100% agree ("70kg man"). Most medical practice and Rx are based on trials from decades before. Something I think is one of the "20 years ago" problem mentioned earlier. I don't believe trials started in 2024, that will be part of medical pra…

Really sorry to hear about your health scare. Hopefully you got it sorted and are in a better space. That's scary stuff. As an aside, one you likely know better than I, consider getting a smart watch. I got one for my father after his tachycardia and it later lit up like a Christmas tree one day. That actually got the cardiologist attention. A pair of them actually. Later said the early alerting saved his life. Unfortunately there is still a bias in medicine Totally agree and men generally fare …

Likely the result of the Opiod epidemic. 10 years ago if you said "ow" at the ER they would give you most anything you'd want. They just didn't care, so long as they could document that you said "ow". Now doctors go to prison for that stuff, so they refuse pain meds as basic medical practice. So if you have 10 million people that were told "yes" for years then one day everyone is saying "no" they are going to internalize it. For many women this turns into "f*cking misogony" but for men it turns …

Yeah, I'm in the opposite boat. I have a genetic marker for a particularly aggressive form of prostate cancer. My t-levels are normal, but my urologist won't allow my to supplement because this particular form of cancer "activates" with testosterone. So I started super-high levels of cardio to ramp up cortisol in attempt to decrease my t-levels. High-t will literally kill me. But it's a rare gene that most men don't carry.

Not a Doctor. But your supposed to see a Urologist every year for prostate cancer screening anyway. Most of them will check t-levels and put you on t-supplements if requested. It's a cash business for them. IIRC there are two types of muscles, quick-twitch, and strength. I thought building strength muscle mass increases T and building quick-twitch decreases T. Guess it makes sense. Strength and T for confrontation, Speed and low T for retreat. But there is so much junk science it's hard to tell …

There are some interesting studies they've done on this that come to some rather dismal conclusions. The two studies found. When women interacted and ranked rooms of men on attractiveness, they found that the men were also sorted almost exclusively based on testosterone levels. That women, somehow, always picked the high-t males as the most attractive. When studying parent bonding in the first year of life they found that fathers who carried or held their child the most had the strongest bonding…

Why are men always accused of not wanting stable relationships? There is usually a dropped modifier. What they say: Why won't any men commit?!?! What they actually mean: Why won't any men that I find attractive commit or be attracted to ME?!?! When you fill in the missing bits, it becomes a bit of a different statement that often answers itself.

Only speak the word "divorce" to a spouse once you have your bags packed and apartment picked out. If asked to divorce I would likely say OK, calmly pack a bag and leave. I'd start drafting "divorce announcements" to my family within the hour.

Thank you for sharing. I'll list the ones I can think of: At 8yo I was sexually assaulted by a neighbor, but never reported because I didn't want to be "gay". At 16yo I was date-raped by my girlfriend but never reported it because the definition of "rape" wasn't changed to include men until 5 years later. At 33yo my son was hospitalized, and my wife and I politely refused to leave the room our 1 year old was in. Later a doctor asked for his medical records and later confided in me that the hospi…

Don't date anyone immersed in common western culture. This is the hardest part for younger men since things seemed to have derailed around 2010 when social media and Tinder (like) sites sprang up. My advice is to date people who are not part of western culture, or date people with pre-2010 values (religious). Avoid any social media / dating app. I just don't think those tend to select "good women". If anything, only date women who you are introduced as part of a friend group. And yes, always be …

No, it is a matter of definition yes... a legal definition that is determined by a long series of legal opinions. Many of those definitions already have precedence in current law in regards to assault. Assault that kills a baby in-utero is defined as murder in most western law. Again, what they think is irrelevant to the law; "life begins at birth," is not an arbitrary distinction, it is both natural (obvious) and practical in that it avoids problems... like this very discussion. Just as your op…

Except that, in the case of abortion, they are having to radically redefine "life" in order to conflate abortion with murder. This is a matter of opinion as to whether a 39-weeks in-utero "baby" is alive or not. I'll go out on a limb and say that "most" (> 50%) people think a baby is alive at 39 weeks. Likewise I think "most" (> 50%) agree a "baby" is not alive before the first week. The "radicals" are those dancing on weeks 1-6 and weeks 30-40. The overwhelming majority believe the baby is aliv…

Well it is their body, the difference is there are two medical procedures here. The mother's termination of the pregnancy, and the infant's medically assisted suicide. The mother, as the legal guardian, is approving the infant's suicide, which is where the conflict comes in. Can the mother really speak in the child's best interests in this regard, and if she can't should the state speak for the child?

Because the government should have no say in what medical procedures a person has on their body. But as you point out, this just isn't the case in most western societies. There are tons of medical procedures that the government does not allow because they feel the harm to the individual out weights the person's choice. Easy example is prepubescent elective genital re-assignment (aka gender affirming surgical intervention). What's more these usually site that even with parental consent and advoca…

Because the government is interfering in medical decisions Some feel that M.A.I.D. laws in Canada are medical freedom, others feel it's homicide. Governments (usually) have an obligation to prevent homicide. Sticky bit is that the government is also the same body that DECIDES what constitutes homicide. This is why things like MAID, and capital punishments are allowed some places, and not allowed other places. Different (state) governments, different decisions. A select group of people contemplat…

Why are women freaking out over abortion post roe v Wade? Anyone know? Statistically, most women are not freaking out, but of those who are freaking out, most are women. Most people are OK with abortion SOMETIMES and are also OK with restrictions SOMETIMES. 14 states currently have a ban on abortion from conception This is where I think the rhetoric works against viable debate. Having done this research earlier, I took your statement at face value and checked. Wikipedia lists the same data that you quote. Picking the biggest state, Texas, I dug a bit deeper. Here's the quote on the Texas Wikipedia entry On September 1, 2021, abortion became illegal in Texas (under Senate Bill 8) in cases where embryonic cardiac activity can be detected. This has be…

True, but again, IMHO, it still comes down to "when". Plan B is "effective" for 5 days, though the effectiveness drops considerably after the first 12 hours. And pregnancy tests usually show definitive results within 3 weeks. And missed period is usually known within 3-4 weeks as well. But I certainly understand the desire for abortion for the first trimester, as R-v-W originally stated. I just feel that calling a 21 week abortion ban a "assault on female reproductive rights" a bit hyperbolic. N…

Genuinely out of curiosity.... Most (aka all) abortion bans only ban it after a particular date. Assuming you have the financial means to buy Plan-B, what objections are there to using Plan-B in the first hours, days, weeks after sex? As I said elsewhere on this thread, despite the rhetoric, there is no ban on birth-control or Plan-B. I appreciate that the rhetoric is making some health-care providers confused, but other than denials on insurance claims, can you point to a state where someone wa…

Honestly, the abortion debate sickens me. Everyone is fighting on edge-cases that just haven't come to be yet. Most (>50%) Pro-Choice people are OK limiting abortion in the last weeks of pregnancy Most (>50%) Pro-Life people are OK with allowing abortion in the first weeks of pregnancy. So you intersect those two groups and you find that VERY few people feel the need to allow 40th week abortions. And very few people feel the need to outlaw 1st week abortions. Those two groups of radicals make up…

Sorry to hear about your rape. Your not alone. I was involuntarily-sexed raped when I was in college. Since it was before 2013, there is no statute for me to file under. As stated in the ACTUAL FUCKING LAW TEXT, the USA did not recognize rape involuntary-sex of men until 2013. Before then, a non-statutory rapist must: Penetrate the victim Have either a penis, or object that acts as a penis. In the US, from 1933 to 2013 the FBI defined rape as only something men (XY) could do: Penetration, no matter how slight, of the vagina or anus with any body part or object, or oral penetration by a sex organ of another person, without the consent of the victim. - The FBI Although men could charge rape if penetrated, a male being forced or coerced to penetrate is not rape, unless used in the statutory context. Their dead. WTF does it matter. Though that is a very secular view likely. From what I know about Judaism there is prohibitions about mixing life (cow-milk) and death (cow-meat). This was well know years ago Many are indicted for contempt of congress, but conveniently almost none of them are convicted. Last perjury conviction I can recall that resulted in incrassation was Martha Stewart back in 2004. Most of the time they just get disbarred. don't let her catch on Ohh we talk about it at length at least once a year. I'm always brutally honest with my wife. Would be a dick move to silently hold this in my heart. She doesn't want me to go, but the conversations are pretty dry and unemotional. We're just business partners at this point. I want more than she can give, and she doesn't want to be alone. We are both a hot mess, and the likelihood of either of us remarrying is staggeringly low. So be alone together, or be alone apart. Toget…

Be single is so easy for guys, the only hard part is the romantic loneliness Yeah, fasting is easy too, only hard part is the hunger. My aversion to dating, is just the train wreck that Tinder and the like are right now, and yet it is roping in higher numbers every year. Old-school, walking up to a woman and asking for a number is just not done anymore. Some may think it novel, but it's really not the majority. And that's fine, it's just not fine for me. So I stick with what I got rather than ch…

Yeah, sort of a "divorce-bomb". I'm one of those. Love my wife, but would be much happier without her. Just can't afford child support and alimony, plus, at my age, I'm not really a catch in any case. So we live apart... together.

Divorce rate has been relatively stable and on a slight decline The number of divorces filed each year is stable, but the number of marriages that end in divorce is, indeed, climbing. But the way the stats are collated is kinda screwy in any case, so most any conclusion could be derived from them. US stats Percent of marriages that end in divorce (# divorces / # marriages) 2020: 45.10% 2019: 44.26% 2018: 44.62% 2017: 42.03% 2016: 42.86% A better stat would be the based on the year a marriage lic…

a common law marriage. The common-law statutes require that they BOTH publicly assert that they are married. Like actually say the words "we are married" publicly. The idea that cohabitating with someone can open you up to divorce court alimony through common-law assumption of marriage is wildly false. Therefore there is really no risk to Elam in cohabitation, so long as he never calls his roommate his wife in public (multiple times). Assuming Elam lives in Houston, Texas Common-Law statute. Com…

However raising a child usually requires the resources of 2 people and the involvement of male and female role models to provide stable identity formation for the children. True, but agreeing to share a child opens great risk to loosing that child. Once they enter school and the 24x7 childcare requirement of infants and toddlers fade, the statistical reality is that most of these parents will separate. Married or not, fathers have the majority burden of financial care for the child but often get…

Think parent's point was that if future-feminist-gf aborts, OP might mourn for the baby/zygote/embryo/cells/tumor. Why go through that when OP could just not sleep with feminist.

Could be... After Revenge of the Nerds (1984), male gradation rates in math and engineering registered it's first decline in the US, year over year. It continues to decline today, and this troupe (see Big Bang Theory) persists in our culture. When I was working in Taipei, I asked my friends if engineers had trouble getting dates. He laughed and said, "No... It's as good as being a doctor or lawyer here". These entertainment troupes have VERY long lasting effects on culture, and SOME men will sti…

A beautiful counter example was "Leave No Trace". Not a happy movie, but there was some beauty in it, and if you squint the father comes out as more tortured than out right bad.

Yeah, there are some articles about it, but most of them get shutdown as being politically incorrect. The thesis on what is going on goes something like this. In the olden days, dating was done within a social group (school, work, church). But the sample size was usually < 500 people. In this social group reputation mattered. As such men and women were cautious not to burn bridges for fear of getting shut out of this small population of potential partners. With social media and online dating, th…

See it in entertainment media as well. I sat through the first handful of episodes on Sandman on Netflix and (spoiler) lost interest when the episode plot was about a mother unable to gain joint custody of her son because of... well I assume patriarchy. It was just so ridiculous to imagine that in 2015 (the plot year) a mother would be unable to petition the courts to move. I mean I understood the show would have some woke tendencies, but that really broke the ability to suspend disbelief.

You see what you seek. If you look for misogynistic posts, you will find them. If you look for misogynistic motives, you will find them too. Part of having access to the thoughts and views of vast swaths of humanity. A non-zero percent of all humans are misogynists. A non-zero percent are believe the earth is flat. How we deal with the fact that there are tons of malfunctioning humans is more of a personal choice.

Or.... It could be that people are too insanely selective. Stuff like: Must be: 6'6" or taller 6% body fat or less 6 figure salary Guys hitting all those sixes are not generally in the dating pool. Most people looking for dates have some imperfections. My comment from another thread about the article. Of course the thread was a dumpster fire and got deleted. There was a site on the dating forums that popped up a while ago. It was more of a joke than anything, but it does raise the questions Dati…

It was more of a joke than anything, but it does raise the questions Dating Delusion Calculator It comes from the "don't compromise" mantra thrown around presently. Things like I won't date fat people I won't date poor people I won't date short people I won't date people with kids I won't date people with pets Well eventuall…

You'll need to go the "illegal immigration" route. Fairly easy in the EU, but you need to understand that many things will be difficult. My friend spent 6 years working in the EU from America. He went there on tourist visa, and just never left. Eventually he started dating someone who had a work visa and just kinda tagged along with her. So most of the time he had "cover". Though the view of illegal immigrants in the EU is extremely hostile right now, so expect some heat.

Whatever happened to feminism wanting to break gender roles, and letting men say they feel... Wait... feminism used to say that? Like they used to want equality? Huh... Learn something new every day.

TLDR; Worked daycare at church and was told, in front of my daughter, that I wasn't allowed to change diapers. Not as major as the rest, but here's the most sexist thing that has ever happened to me. I'm a married father of two and wanted my kids to have a good work ethic. Getting jobs in gradeschool is difficult so I would usually set them up to volunteer at our church. My son did audio tech stuff for the youtube stream, and my daughter worked in the daycare. My daughter was young so I would sh…

One of the most prevalent cancers is prostate cancer. If you have a Y chromosome, simply take your age and divide by 100. Those are the ods that you have cancer cells in your prostate. Luckily, it comes in two forms, slow-growth, and kill-ya-quick. The slow form is usually slow enough to not kill you before old age does. The kill-ya-quick kills you fast. Most live with it for years without having any effect. Real danger is if it spreads. Treatment is usually chemical castration since testosteron…

It pertains more to r/relationships than here. True, and we will likely seperate in the end. I rant more about it elsewhere in the thread. Where I think the r/MensRights issue is, has to do with the cultural norm of women-to-men play violence (see gif). It should not be something in a comedy skit and it should be just as cringe worthy as the old "Honeymooners" bit with Ralph is going to "Knock Alice to the Moon". No one would watch that today and laugh. Just a cautionary tale to the younger guys…

She's right handed. My left shoulder has age based deterioration. For the last few years, aches at a constant level of 2 or 3 on the "pain scale". Some days it will stay at a 6 or 7 all day. When we are face to face, or if she sits to my left, her natural motion is to strike my left shoulder where the clavicle and humerus meet. Exactly the worse spot for me to take a punch. She's been punching me like that for 20 years, and honestly it never really registered to me till my shoulder started to de…

We had a run in with TX CPS around this time, and it scared the hell out of me. Our child had a medical condition that required 24x7 medical equipment and the school and teachers were being extremely inflexible. Eventually we pulled our child out of school and home schooled. Our big mistake was to take medical aid from the state. If we never would have done that we would have been OK. One of the state med-techs (not RN not MD) decided she did not like our child's medical condition. She disagreed…

It wasn't a cry for OP to reach out, it was a blatant request for OP to leave, done in the cruelest way imaginable. Had a girl cheat and years later she was honest enough to tell me that, she just didn't want to be in a monogamous relationship right then. She said that publicly cheating was easier than confronting me and asking out of a perfectly good relationship. Said it was easier for her if I broke it off (which I sure as hell did).

Switch to DuckDuckGo. It's only 25% leftist as opposed to Google which is 95% leftist. By the way, your search terms are poorly chosen. "(mens rights) rally" is different then "mens (right rally)". Making "rights" plural give you a much more palatable list of results. NSFW - Some employers monitor search traffic. DuckDuckGo Results Google Results
