This has little to do with double standards though, this is simply a matter of language development, and how certain words are used. in the 50's wifey was a term coined and/or used for exactly what's described in op's picture. hubby has been and is currently still used as a term of endearment. i think claiming this to be double standards is quite factually wrong.

feminist and a supporter of men's rights I think this is the "issue" though. If you support both, that means you are for equality. Which is pictured in the photo as well. The point being that the name itself (feminist, mens rights activist) already suggests you are for one side. But i feel like what you are saying; and what i'd like to believe most reasonable people agree with; is that we do not want to have inequality, no matter which way it goes. same rights for all: Male, female, black, white…

While I agree in principle, this is a hard thing to decide for a court though. Because the first choice and responsibility should have been using protection if you do not want a child. Just saying "nah" after the deed is done to bail out and leave the mother with it should not (and thankfully does not) suffice. However if you can prove you used a condom, while the woman was not on the pill and now she wants to have the child while you do not? I am 100% with you that you should not be liable.
