Pretty interesting article I stumbled upon recently about being a “gray man” - more of a tactical spin but relevant imo https://www.itstactical.com/intellicom/mindset/gray-man-strategies-101-peeling-away-the-thin-veneer-of-society/

Is it possible to be too fat for your head to actually hit the ground when you fall? She may have been safe.....

Reminds me of the story (may have some facts mixed up) of the three Marines who stopped a purse snatching, beat the crap out of the guy and the cops wrote it up as “injuries obtained falling off the curb”

Yeah I asked her last night and got a twenty minute reply I was trying to process..lol - asked her today to give me a summary: She was bullying him if there was an imbalance of power (physical, social, etc) and if her behavior was ongoing. Conflict is equal power and not ongoing. If this is the first time she got in his face - it was a fight. If she had a history of intimidating him - she is a bully. Punishment is based on all of those factors plus the students conduct history. Edit: I get these…

I need to ask my wife what they would do in a situation like this. She’s an admin at a smaller rural high school and I’m pretty sure hasn’t dealt with anything similar

Dad had a broken leg with a cast past his knee one summer. It was my first or second year pitching in little league baseball. Will never forget him setting up a lawn/beach chair in the backyard so he could catch for me

My wife is an administrator at a high school and she has told me about several young mothers who have said to her: “ No, we’re not going to get married yet. I’ll get a lot more benefits if I’m single”

Yeah that’s a good point. He was obsessed with marshal arts too for many years so his statement of “an hour or two of training everyday for a couple years and you’re a blue? belt” doesn’t apply to him either. He might have been trying to use himself as a bad example and didn’t explain it very well. He’s also pretty high for the podcasts 90% of the time..lol Edited to add: one reason I like Rogan is he’s one of the only high profile guys who’s willing to give his real opinion and not care who it …

I’ve heard a lot of people’s reactions and I really think Rogan’s comments were taken out of context. He’s spoken on the subject many times. He doesn’t seem to have a problem with the average gamer who plays an hour or two of Warzone with their buddies after working all day and leaving the gym. IMO, the “such a waste of time” comments were referring more to the 12-16 hour a day players (which he was one) His guest was also some bad ass former Navy Seal type and Rogan will often have rants like t…

Congrats..!! - just hit two years myself. Waking up feeling great at 5:30am on a Saturday morning is a welcome change. The weight loss was crazy too even though I was only a weekend drinker. It’s like a layer just melted off me. I was getting to scrawny old man status and had to start an exercise plan

Isn’t it common to just drop the bar/weight from overhead when the lift is complete.? That’s pretty loud in a gym on pads and platforms made for it so I’ve got to wonder what the scenario really was.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
