This isn't really a men's rights discussion, but you might find this article on natural rights interesting. It's a bit lengthy, but a good read.

My daughter asks me sometimes if I like her makeup and I don't know what to say cause I can't tell she's wearing any. I can tell if the colors are really dramatic or something but if it's subtle I just won't see it.

Women can't compete with men athletically. This is just a fact. If your girlfriend can't handle facts you need to find a new girlfriend, especially if you're planning on marriage and children someday. You want smart kids right? Don't roll the dice by giving them a dumb mom.

The correct response to a girlfriend who says kill all men is "goodbye."

Men don't have a right to feel a certain way. If a woman told me she was assaulted I'd give the same advice. Press charges. Learn self defense. OP doesn't want to do those things. His safety and feelings are his responsibility, not mine. I'd say the same thing to a woman. If someone doesn't want to press charges they'll have to learn to accept getting slapped around.

What right was violated? And how was it specific to men? How was his treatment discriminatory?

the empathy gap and internalized misandry What? A guy hit a guy and the the guy who got hit didn't press charges. That's his choice. Where is the men's rights issue? If this is the widely held position here, then I guess I might as well leave. Bye.

This isn't really a men's rights issue. You got assaulted. File a police report and press charges. Also get in shape and learn how to fight. Not to advocate for fighting but it happens and you have to be able to defend yourself.

It wouldn't even be a question if the roles were reversed. Imagine a woman posting "my bf thought it would be funny to kick me really hard in the vagina, but it hurt so bad I puked. He apologized when I got mad though." People would be calling for jail time.

If you want to talk child support and divorce reform I'm down. Both of those need to happen in a bad way. But I'm always going to oppose abortion.

Wow, you're not smart. I'm pro life. I'm opposed to killing unborn babies because they are expensive to their fathers. Right to life trumps right to money.

Look at the American Pediatrics Association policy as well as the CDC policy. Neither recommends routine circumcision. The APA states that the benefits aren't proven to outweigh the risks. The CDC states that circumcision may be beneficial to preventing STIs.The risks of circumcision include incomplete circumcision, excessive skin removal, adhesions, infection, penile amputation, antibiotic resistant staph infection, and death. All for a procedure with questionable benefits, that can be achieved…

At one point during my marriage I was working two full time jobs while my ex worked 5 hours a week. She still complained that I didn't help with the housework. Oh, and she was cheating on me. Just don't get married.

I think a spare tire is standard on all American cars.

What kind of car do you drive that doesn't come with a spare and a jack? Also, go buy those things.

Fortunately I wasn't teaching anyone anything that day. If I had been they'd have gotten a great lesson in cussing out your car.

My last car I tried to do a simple brake job and the lug nuts on the rear were oxidized. I bent two lug wrenches, and broke three sockets, including two made specifically to get stuck lug nuts off. Called my dad who brought his impact gun over. Didn't do shit. Put the lugs that were off back on and took it to a tire shop to have them replace all the nuts and bolts. That brake job that should have taken an hour, hour and a half, took about 6 hours. And I did not experience the satisfaction of a j…

I've almost exclusively bought used cars and I've always gotten a jack, but yeah I guess that could happen.

I think basic maintenance of the things you own and use is just a good idea. That said when my furnace went out I called a repair man. I can install a light fixture or an outlet but if it gets much more complicated than that I call an electrician. Same with plumbing. You can't know all the things, but flat tires aren't a rare and unpredictable occurrence. It's less if they'll happen than when. And when it happens you ought to know what to do. I will volunteer to change tires for ladies, especial…

I did say anyone who drives a car should know how to change a tire. If you don't drive, you don't need this knowledge. I don't know how to shoe a horse. But I don't ride a horse, so it really doesn't matter.

Then YouTube it or find someone to teach you. This isn't a highly skilled task. It's really basic. I generally don't judge people for not knowing things, but changing a tire is the tying your shoe of car ownership. It's something you should make sure you know when you start to drive.

You know how to change a tire? Cool. If you see someone struggling, show them how. And that's not specific to boys. Girls should know how to change a tire too. When my daughter got her first car I bought her jumper cables, showed her how to use them, and how to change a tire. It's just something everyone should know.

Changing a tire is something every able bodied car driving adult should be able to do. It's not hard and virtually everyone will need to do it at some point. Same with cooking. I don't judge women who can't cook as masculine. I judge them as immature. Every able bodied adult should be able to cook well enough to keep themselves fed. It's a basic life skill.
