So…at least some of these friends of yours are actually women you’d like to date, right ?

Many, many women like above-average sized dicks, but not clownishly-large donkey dicks. That said, I think it’s time to get over it, as there’s nothing anyone can do about dick size other than learning to use it effectively.

I think there might be something wrong with your approach if you are getting rejected across the board (ugly, mid, attractive). Do you have women friends? Get an honest opinion.

Well said. Let’s call Mike’s gf Jackie. She’s a sweet girl who rolls her eyes at Sarah’s shenanigans and doesn’t cheat on Mike.

So, I’m convinced that the perceived negative effects of online dating didn’t come out of nowhere, and that there actually has been a negative effect on the social scene. That said, there’s no real evidence of the red pill canard re: alpha men sharing all the girls out there - all of the sexist ‘wisdom’ on the interwebs is anecdotal. The shared experience of a small segment of the 7.5+/10, aged 21-35 dating world has been projected to apply to everyone out there, and chronically online NEETs now…

Definitely don’t post about it - it’s illegal in lots of places, for one.

Not me. I don’t need to be cooked for, cleaned up after, or doted on. I just like a little effort, affection, and respect. I know women have it tough too, but man…it’s tough to find a lady who can be those things consistently.

I think that’s a sex thing. If you mean “tradcons” there are maybe a few of them out there, but that’s just not my bag. I would like a lady who at least considers my opinions in making decisions, but that’s not how they are rolling these days.

I think you’re being intentionally obtuse - would you consider annual sex to be adequate ? I sure wouldn’t.

So that’s what I’m trying to say - is a guy who has sex once/year “getting laid” or “in a relationship” as OP says ?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/22 09:40 PM

My understanding is that the study criteria counted one or more sexytimes in the last year as a yes. I could well be wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/05/22 09:27 PM

To be fair, having sex once in a year isn’t exactly drowning in tang. Those guys might be visiting this sub the other 364 days/year.

Honestly - I’d like people to have affordable health care. It’s less important to me what we call it.

Yep - the term you are looking for is a “mixed” economy, as all countries are essentially a mix of socialism and capitalism to some degree. The US has a higher capitalism to socialism ratio than, say, Finland. Somalia (obviously not a ‘western’ country, making apples-to-apples comparisons trickier, but just using it for the sake of argument) has almost no functioning government, so its ratio is even higher than ours. North Korea has a very low ratio, as did the former Soviet Union. So, anyone wh…

We were friends before we briefly dated, and we talked about prior relationships. Fast-forward to the present, and the ladies still love him…though he’s gotta be 40 by now, I’m thinking his brokenness might finally break his winning streak. P.S. I understand that these “alpha-widows” are relatively rare, and I just got unlucky. I don’t think this is common behavior by women (or men). But it does happen! P.P.S. Yes, I shouldn’t have dated her at all, but she was finer than frog hair and laughed a…

I dated an “alpha-widow” once. It completely sucked. She’s been chasing that high for years, while Mr. Magic Dick has two different families and is working on a third.

There’s also bias. Wealthy couples (in my experience) tend to send their kids to elite schools starting very early, and slots at these places tend to go to nuclear families.

Well that’s a little bit outside my area of expertise, but the systems we have in place for owning and transferring property often involve governments. Cryptocurrency is interesting in this regard, but it has its obvious drawbacks.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/22 10:57 AM

I’m not favoring one “side” or another - it is just my experience that those who want children have an easier (and less expensive) time when married. It is completely possible to set up one’s finances to have children and be unmarried.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/22 10:18 AM

We have treaties with most countries which require us to give full faith and credit to their marriage and divorce proceedings, and them to ours. This issue would only come into play if one or both spouse(s) came to the US and accumulated a lot of assets, and then filed for divorce and/or died. Simply visiting the US would not affect assets or marriage.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/22 10:15 AM

Marriages from other countries will usually be valid in the U.S.

If he wants kids, absolutely he should get married. Kids born to married couples have a number of financial and legal advantages.

Lawyer here: they are sometimes tossed, yes. Usually, it’s because a rich tech moron uses an online template without consulting a lawyer. In that same category, sometimes a big wealthy family has been using the same language since the 1820’s and doesn’t habitually run it by a lawyer before new marriages. (Bad move- laws change every year). In California, the most important case is called Bonds v Bonds (after Barry Bonds, of MLB fame. Go Giants!). Bonds’ wife didn’t really speak English or have h…

More Purple-Pilled here. My mom and I have a pretty normal relationship. I have a twin brother, so I guess he and I were always closer to each other than the other family members, but we all get along well and text often. A buddy of mine was about a year out of his divorce, maybe 30-31 years old. He was finally making real money (without his ex spending it all) and met new people all the time because of his industry (he’s a pharmacologist, and met female sales reps all the time). He decided to start “playing the field”…from what he has told me, his ex-wife was the 4th girl he ever slept with, and now, eight years later, he’s at about 20 women, all very pretty. That’s not a crazy high number, but that’s a fair amo…

I have a great relationship with my mom and sister. My two divorces, however (one for infidelity and the other for overt cruelty) have led me to a place where I’m very suspicious of most women’s motives. Most women suspect that men are out to use women for sex…whereas I’m quite wary of being used as a punching bag. Seriously, once the “new relationship shine” wears off, the women I’ve dated just stop being courteous, interested in my life, kind, or grateful. I’m just the pain-in-the-ass roommate…

Keep doing whatever your lawyer says, and ignore Reddit legal advice. I’m a lawyer (but not your lawyer) in California, and each separation is different. There is no hard and fast rule that moving out voluntarily is bad. Some petitioner’s lawyers will argue “abandonment,” lack of interest in the children’s lives, etc., if dad moves out first without being forced - but it’s just that, an argument.

I think we are trying to agree with eachother - it takes well-honed skills (and the implied discipline) to succeed in online sales. A person could just have a natural talent for it (or have really nice tits), but it’s more likely that a good digital sales professional has worked in the traditional sales trade (cold calls, knocking doors, running client-maintenance on the boss’ big accounts, etc); or has launched a few failed sites first. Trial and error is a great way to pick things up. So is th…

Robinhood is (mostly) commission-free. I’m not exactly a big shot, so that’s the one I use. If you are talking about real money, you could actually hire a broker from one of the big investment houses (Schwab has my job-linked retirement account and my employer likes them, for what that’s worth). Beyond that, there are fancier programs that require special computer setups (I think they’re called Bloomberg Terminals?) for when you graduate to full finance wonk. And don’t trade on margin until you …

The stock market is bananas right now; this might be a good time to create a fake portfolio just to learn (like circling horses on the racing sheet without making the bets). Start with something basic (Investing for Dummies, The Millionaire Next Door) and start reading a regular financial news service (Motley Fool is enjoyable). Good luck!

JFC. This post, and most of the comments here, are essentially illiberal. Men don’t “protect” women in a democracy; We The People have formed a body politic that protects everybody. The definition of who counts as a real person keeps growing, which is a good thing. Also, to the total dorks who are posting some variant of the following: “only men know the power that is forged in blood on the field of combat” (and whatever other bullshit you tell yourselves) - you aren’t fucking Odysseus. I’m of the opinion that having a high opinion of oneself will prove useful with the fairer sex. Surveys of successful people usually put “self-assuredness” at the top of the list of qualities that got them there (see for yourself with your googler machine). Calling everyone on here “mediocre” and insisting they will “fail” is, thus, counterproductive. Some advice from a 39 year old, lads: the handful of times I’ve hooked up with cute girls on the same night I met them, I typically did nothing ot…

I say this with respect - about 90% of your post is legally dubious or flat-out wrong. I’m not saying all office philanderers get busted...in fact, most don’t. But the alleged wrongdoer will be named as a codefendant with the corporation basically every time. I have one on my desk at this very moment. Ok, so you made me laugh, but for every fuck-palace that you describe, there are ten cubicle farms that don’t tolerate funny business of any kind. Also, you speak of getting fired like it’s the worst thing that can happen - it’s not. Lawsuits and police trouble are potentially on the horizon for dudes who dip into the office ink.

I’m a civil litigator, mostly defending companies who have purchased insurance against big lawsuits (workplace injuries, discrimination, and yes, sexual harassment). You should do most of your communicating with women via email. Obviously that isn’t always possible, but seriously, if the office 10/10 corners you in the break room...leave! A company like P&G doesn’t take an $8 billion write-down due to a bad commercial. (I thought the ad was dumb, for the record). Years of stubborn adherence to the old-fashioned “manufacturer to wholesaler to local distributor to foreign distributer to foreign retailer” model bit them in the ass when online subscription-sellers popped up.

You didn’t want to raise a disabled child...that’s a sane and prudent choice. She can get back with babydaddy if she wants financial support. Your family isn’t thinking about you, they are thinking about how they think things look. First of all, there’s no community-at-large that gives a shit what you do. Secondly, you only have one life on this rock, and you shouldn’t spend it raising Chad’s disabled child. It sounds awful.

Lawyer here. If this is real, be aware that such a thing is typically NOT rape in the United States. “False pretense intercourse” is a topic for debate among academics, but ultimately everyone lies a little re: sex. Does poor state mean, like, emotionally in a bad place? Or actually feeling cash-poor? Either way, if you are preoccupied with something, you might be putting off the “I need a friend” vibe. Nothing wrong with that, btw. My life would suck without my friends, male and female.

It sounds like you have regular work, you get some exercise, and you are working on your writing. A little social anxiety with women doesn’t make you a loser, dude. You are clearly very well versed in the subject ! I would say you make a valid point re: the violence inherent in Islamic texts. As you spoke to, the Old Testament is also pretty nasty. Admittedly, for a vulnerable reader, it’s a short distance from these holy books to explosives, or to violence against women. That said, we can’t just give up on all religious people - that’s most of the world! Religious people have a tendency to cherry-pick the nice parts of their religions anyway. So to the ext…

You are painting with a pretty broad brush, dude. The KKK is supposedly Christian, as was MLK, Jr. Pretty different beliefs between the two, right? I’ll say fuck the KKK, but MLK was a good guy. Just like I’ll say my Muslim neighbor who adores his daughters and invites me to his celebratory meals is a good dude, but the Pakistani judge who sentences a raped woman to be executed for adultery can eat shit.

As a lefty: none of us are afraid to criticize Islam. We just don’t like seeing anyone tortured or blown up by drones (without good reason). Lots of our grandfathers fought against some very bad dudes who targeted minorities, and we aren’t interested in propping up such a system, on either side. And fuck anyone who rapes a woman. To the extent that any religion condones this, fuck their religion too.

I quit drinking about 2.5 years ago. It gets much, much easier to talk to girls. Just gotta be patient, bud. Your body is changing, so let it do its thing and take it easy on yourself. I took some friendly advice and started listening to a comedy podcast and practiced being clever on twitter until my verbal game was back up to where I wanted. Takes a while. On the plus side, you'll live longer! Good luck.
