This is a shitty situation for sure, here are some things to consider: Individual and/or couples therapy. There may be other things going on that needs to be revealed. Anger usually gets in the way of effective communication, so a therapist might help. They might also be able to recommend meds for depression and/or anxiety. It means one can't just show up, sit around, and expect things are ok. It applies to both. Each needs to work at building a strong relationship. They both need to have compassion, understanding, empathy, etc. If only one side is doing that, the relationship is not healthy.

Well this is a divorce sub, so you'll only hear the horror stories. Even though this sub serves a purpose, it's not representing all relationships. There's not a guaranteed way to find a spouse that you can be with for the rest of your life. There are certainly obvious red flags, but something may not be discovered until years later. If you know their particular hobbies you could get some supplies/tools and join them. Everyone paints their own small picture, then everyone helps paint a large picture. Maybe have them help you cook dinner while you're all trying a brand new recipe. Go on a hike. Do geocaching. Play Pokemon Go. Visit the city museums. It's a tough choice and always filled with anxiety and uncertainty. Therapy sometimes takes several months, and it may take a few different therapists to find one that works well. She (and probably you as well) should get evaluated for anxiety and depression, and look into anti-depressants.
