Starting 2013 on the right foot: House blocks sexist Violence Against Women Act billInteresting suggestion. | /r/MensRights | 03/01/13 06:08 PM
Starting 2013 on the right foot: House blocks sexist Violence Against Women Act billI respectully disagree. Any representative of ours should uphold their oaths to the US Constitution. It is their other boss and the "Supreme Law". How about if I wanted the Violence Against Vikings Act? Could we overlook the Equal Protection Clause for ME just this one time? | /r/MensRights | 03/01/13 06:06 PM
Starting 2013 on the right foot: House blocks sexist Violence Against Women Act billLet's hope they come up with a gender neutral "domestic violence" law, which does not incorporate the radical feminist notions of the Duluth Model, that domestic violence is based on patriarchal control by men against women. It exists: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fourteenth_Amendment_to_the_United_States_Constitution#Equal_Protection_Clause | /r/MensRights | 03/01/13 06:03 PM
Starting 2013 on the right foot: House blocks sexist Violence Against Women Act billIt's reprehensible that they know of women "getting the crap beaten out of them" yet they refuse to call the police. Pick up the phone, ladies. | /r/MensRights | 03/01/13 06:02 PM
VAWA expired and renewal blocked: Police can start doing their job normally once more, and with fewer deputies. This article is fluff. The premise is that VAWA had been renewed before, so it shold be renewed again. Law is supposed to 'substantive' rather than talking points or conformity. "And then there's the Violence Against Women Act, which was supposed to be one of the year's easy ones. It wasn't." It was supposed to be one of the "easy ones". His momma told him so... | /r/MensRights | 03/01/13 05:59 PM

| -1 | VAWA expired and renewal blocked: Police can start doing their job normally once more, and with fewer deputies. Here's the law that already protected them: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fourteenth_Amendment_to_the_United_States_Constitution Am I mistaken? VAWA is a terrible law and it should not be renewed. If someone has been wronged or assaulted, call the police on their behalf. If the police don't do their job, write to the Attorney General's office in your state and send copies to a couple newspapers. We don't need more gender-biased deputies or secret police. | /r/MensRights | 03/01/13 05:46 PM |
VAWA expired and renewal blocked: Police can start doing their job normally once more, and with fewer deputies. No, I respectfully disagree with the notion that S.1925 "supported illegal immigrants too much". The contention was that under S.1925 an immigrant could lose their U-Visa status if they reported abuse. HR 4970 asserted that the US Citizen should be informed if someone made a claim against them. So, if you believe in a police state and a non-citizen being able to smear a US Citizen to gain standing in our country, S.1925 flies your colors. | /r/MensRights | 03/01/13 05:39 PM
VAWA expired and renewal blocked: Police can start doing their job normally once more, and with fewer deputies.Friend, I disagree. Kindly post that to the discussion and I'll respond in turn. Cheers, Toby | /r/MensRights | 03/01/13 05:35 PM

VAWA expired and renewal blocked: Police can start doing their job normally once more, and with fewer deputies."Talk" means hearsay and I am putting this in writing. I can back up what I put in writing with the craziest affidavits a DV circus tried to smear me with. Where's a good place for me to put this affidavits on the internet? | /r/MensRights | 03/01/13 05:24 PM
VAWA expired and renewal blocked: Police can start doing their job normally once more, and with fewer deputies. The Senate bill was S.1925 and House amendment was HR 4970. The latter was largely authored by Sandy Adams of Florida and hers is an admirable story. The house version was largely gender neutral if you can overlook the HORRENDOUS violation of the Equal Protection Clause that innate to VAWA: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fourteenth_Amendment_to_the_United_States_Constitution | /r/MensRights | 03/01/13 05:21 PM
VAWA expired and renewal blocked: Police can start doing their job normally once more, and with fewer deputies. Please become informed on this matter as all the press now is partisan. This is the Good Thing that Republicans have done for the United States. We need to get Little Helpers out of the courts and law enforcement so that things can operate normally and our Constitutional rights can be retained. Don't forget: if you know that someone has been assaulted be sure to call the police on their behalf and report a crime. | /r/MensRights | 03/01/13 04:35 PM

At least some feminists speak up against 'women are better than men' bullshit. Big props to them! She was right to take issue with Ebert's article that is mostly generalizations and disjoint thinking. He rants about JP Morgan and then goes on to imply women aren't like that, whereas the Chief Investment Office at Morgan just lost her job just for this reason: http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/business/2012/05/jpmorgan-chase-cio-ina-drew-expected-to-resign/ http://blogs.suntimes.com/ebert/2012/05/women_are_better_than_men.html "The recent trading catastrophe at J. | 3 | NOW Condemns House for Passage of H.R. 4970 - so it must be a step in the right directionI must applaud the Republicans for advocating for US citizens, making sure VAWA money gets to people in need, and presenting their case on http://c-span.org today in a substantive manner. Leading up to this, a twitter search on VAWA or 4970 was a freak show of speculators that make their money lobbying for U-visa immigrants, and divorce industry, and The Village People. If you have ever seen VAWA funding go awry and know how far we are from the rights they told us we had in civics class, you wou… | /r/MensRights | 17/05/12 02:38 AM
A young man’s right to choose NOT to be a father…Yes, really. Society says men own it. Don't confuse what may be fair, right, or wrong with what a judge is going to say. The real cost comes when she stops tolerating your brother's presence in her life. I had a gf that purchased a diaphragm too large to work right. Since I was an old pro at installing those things I was onto her game. What she did was not what a person of character would do, and that's not the only incident I would categorize as such. | /r/MensRights | 30/03/11 04:31 PM
A young man’s right to choose NOT to be a father…Young man, women don't ejaculate into men. Apply that. He owns it now. The state will tell him he owns it. What's fair, right, or wrong are mere grievances now. | /r/MensRights | 30/03/11 04:22 PM
A young man’s right to choose NOT to be a father…Forced into fatherhood? He subscribed to it and should have been more careful. I hope it works out for him. | /r/MensRights | 28/03/11 11:41 PM
Britain's Child SoldiersNever met my paternal grandfather, born in 1900, but he escaped an orphanage at 16 to join WWI in the US Army. Such soldiers were called 'Doughboys' He was spared trench warfare and my understanding was that he was not (overly) traumatized by the experience. A life in the military may well have better life experiences to offer than suburban consumerism, so I find this article worthy of further consideration. How one looks at the military may be derived from how one views a particular nation's ch… | /r/MensRights | 17/03/11 02:46 PM
