Proximity. Move closer. Break the 3 foot bubble strangers put between each other. As others has said, touch him. Most men are indifferent to women’s signals, Let your hip accidentally touch him at some point and look at him. You’ll have his attention. Not exactly coy, but he’d have to be dead not notice you.

Eye contact and hi doesn’t mean anything anymore. I get them all day long from women who are clearly with another man.

Bumble and Tinder at 40? You better be tall and have a seriously expensive lifestyle.

I agree that confidence is a byproduct of success. But confidence in the dating world is a buzzword perpetuated by women to justify selection preference. What it means to men is competence and ability to overcome failure. What women mean by it is lack of fear, and a presence that makes her feel™ secure or excited—often judgement-proofing her socially. But confidence in itself is not enough to attract women. It’s a bonus attribute that gives an arm’s length advantage over an equally attractive ma…

I see this advice all the time, and it’s usually written by women in men’s magazines. There’s a guy at my work who looks like he sifts through dumpsters for a living whose gf is a champion. I’m going to go ask him where he got his ripped converse.

It’s therapeutic af, isn’t it? I wish I could go back in time and punch my 14-year-old self in the balls and say pick up the f-ing guitar! You will not regret it.

So, I’ve been thinking about this since seeing it. I have no mission. You’ve helped me realize this. I’ve been in survival mode for so long I’ve lost interest in most anything because resources are scarce and I’m in a scarcity mindset - which is how women operate.

Nah. I’d never use the skill after the 5 years it would take me to get decent enough at it.

When women tell you you’re good looking, you’re right, it means nothing. It might as well be coming from a relative. Being a handsome man and being an attractive man are different in my experience. For first encounters it will 9/10 be about how you make them feel AND how those feels fit in with her current frame of mind—as in that very moment. Ex: A few years ago I asked a nerdtastic barista how her day was going at her register. She gave me this whole diatribe on shitty customers during holiday…

I’m working on establishing myself in my new career. Went out and got my PMP and am pushing for more responsibility or a move. Money is the goal. Checking out inexpensive boxing classes. Started learning guitar. I lift m-f. I’ve taught myself to cook and be a self-reliant stand-alone parent to my children. I’m dominating every aspect of my life except the social circle part. Which is why I ended up posting. Some others have already offered some good starting advice.

Agreed I have muscle, but I’m not cut. Trying to figure why at my weight/age/height I can bench 100lb dbs and seated overhead press my body weight in dbs for reps and not look amazing. I’m getting enough cals or I wouldn’t have the love handles. I’m starting carb cycling. Interests are a problem. I’ll do some research. I gave up all of my childhood interests—don’t have much use for them anymore. I didn’t play sports as kid, can’t dance, and anything I get into will be from the ground floor. Mone…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
