One situation where he becomes very beta is if someone says something nasty about him. Most alphas just kind of brush that shit off but he gets really intense about it and goes right after that person, even if that person is some hapless loser. It's like watching a lion act really big and then a mouse accidentally bumps into it so it pounces on the mouse and starts torturing it and biting it to death slowly... makes the lion look kind of small.

I don't know, I had reasonable success with women but gave them up for prostitutes and couldn't be happier. My income allows a very good selection of prostitutes though, 20 year old blonde college students with perfect bodies, and I'd much rather pick exactly who I want to fuck and for how long (and not have to worry about getting them off).

Best way to gain power in a negotiation is by improving your "BATNA" - your best alternative to a negotiated agreement. Basically, if you don't have a good alternative to a deal, you can't walk away, and you're fucked. If you have high SMV, if you can lead a satisfying life without a wife, if you're financially independent, if you can take care of your household chores... Then you can walk away, which gives you leverage.
