The top comment over there is pretty reasonable. Don’t go where the grass seems greener and water your own lawn instead. Good advice.

Everyone seems to mostly be on the same page, but I’ll give you my view. You need to start planning for a life where you are single. I think you should start by figuring out how to simultaneously do three things: 1) working to the level you need to advance the business, 2) taking care of the kids, 3) having time for yourself. If you separate/divorce, I assume you want 50% custody. If/when that happens, you will need to figure out how to do all those things. Start doing that now. Figuring this ou…

You’ve been on “dates” with 129 women. Not 127 or 128, but 129. And of course I have to respect that you didn’t inflate it to 130. Why are you tracking dates? In the first year or two after separation, I tracked some info on whether I fucked on the first/second date or how many times per week I fucked women. Told myself, yeah bro, only attractive dudes fuck like that. After maybe 2 years, I realized I was just seeking validation and stopped. But tracking the number of women you date? wtf does th…

If you’re just starting to date after being separated, why are you asking about LTRs? It is way too soon for you to be thinking about long term. You also say you don’t think it is possible to meet what you call a “unicorn”, but if you haven’t been dating, you don’t really know that. The fact that your immediate thoughts are 1) what do my LTR prospects look like, and 2) what single moms should I be in LTRs with says to me that you haven’t done any of the work you need to do. You probably haven’t …

I agree, decades of hell await you. Weekly visits? If you want to do anything else on weekends, be prepared for guilt trips and shame for how terrible you are for not wanting to see them or for not wanting your gf/fiancé/wife to see them. Not only that, if her family is full of narcissists, why do you think she is not a narcissist or will not become one? That is what she has seen as a family dynamic, and she won’t know anything else. And any advice they give her will be for her to be more narcis…

It’s easy to cede control to your wife about babies or young children. Don’t just let it happen. If she is better situated to make some decisions or oversee something (e.g., how to breast feed), delegate those to her. Pick other topics for you to control or focus on. One of which might be how to have fun. Or how to change things around the house to fit a baby. Or what car seats are safest. Don’t just be deadweight (I was, and it was a mistake). You have to be your own point of origin on what nee…

The dichotomy presented is over-simplified. There is a spectrum of what a guy can be. I suggest something like the below: not on radar — purely husband material — honest fuckboy — dishonest fuckboy/PUA Not on radar: Women don’t notice the guy. Purely husband material: stereotypical betabux, stable but boring guy. Honest fuckboy: attractive man with lots of options but who is upfront about who he is and what he wants (e.g., casual). May one day want to be married. Dishonest fuckboy/pua: seemingly…

That previous comment is great. I went to marriage counseling with my (now ex-) wife several years ago. The therapist was squarely on my wife’s side, and it made my wife dig in her heels on everything. The therapist also pushed me to say how I felt about different events, and my responses made everything worse with the wife (because they weren’t identical to what she felt). Keep your feelings to yourself. OP, given where you are, I don’t know that the direct route of simply declining to go to th…

Again, that just means that women date older.

That doesn’t mean they are sharing. It means women 18-24 are having sex with men older than 24.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/21 06:51 PM

I agree that a cause of a low sex marriage/LTR is that the man gives up and stops trying. There is a whole sub-branch of TRP dedicated to dealing with that issue (MRP), and it tells men to start taking care of themselves and their career, be attractive, flirt with their woman all the time (not just 2 minutes before they ask for sex), lead their woman and family, maintain frame, etc. Doing those things is how to create an “emotional connection”. The term “emotional connection” doesn’t mean doing …

There is no substitute to doing the work you describe in your post. However, I found that I can have issues getting or staying hard in two scenarios: the first few times with a new girl or after having more than 2 drinks in a night. I worked on my pelvic floor and relaxing/meditating, but still had issues. So I got a prescription for viagra. I only use it when I might go home with a new girl or when drinking. I break the pills In half and take at most 5 mg at a time, but it helps me get through …

One big problem with OP’s assertion is that it treats all men and all women as a group. The most attractive men typically are less interested in a relationship. They want to casually see multiple women with no commitment because doing so is easy for them. Men who are not in the top 20% or so are more interested in relationships as a practical matter because it is the best and easiest way for them to get access to a woman. In a different world, those men probably would prefer more casual partners…

Definitely kills attraction. Notice how after proposing, she kissed him and cried, then they kept hiking? It wasn’t she was so happy and turned on that we fucked right there at the top of the mountain. The proposal made her eyes wet but her pussy dry (for him).

A list of some ways masculinity is demonized: -Men want to provide for a family and wife. But men are also shamed for wanting to earn more than their spouse, shamed for caring about their career over domestic chores, and shamed for working longer hours. -Men are shamed for wanting feminine women. For wanting a woman to support him. Instead, men are supposed to take women how they want to be. In a relationship, a man cannot count on a woman to support him, but he is expected to support all of her…

Agree. However, despite what that survey OP cites seems to say, I think women are more willing to date/marry single fathers. A large segment of the single father demographic is divorced men 35-45 who are financially and emotionally stable. While we come with kids, we come with other attributes that can outweigh or balance that out. On the flip side, I do not think that women with children commonly have attributes that can balance out the children (though some probably could).

I’m also a single father (divorced) and I use OLD. On Tinder, I do not mention I have kids. If I mention it in a convo before meeting, sometimes I get ghosted, but that is maybe 25% of the time. My profile is also more geared to casual relationships. More often I get asked something like “Your profile says ‘looking for someone fun to…’ does that mean you are looking for more casual relationships?” When I say yes, we agree that we are not the right fit. On Hinge, my profile says I have kids. Some…

I’m also a single father (divorced). I date almost exclusively women without children, and I have never had a problem finding dates. I also tend to date 10+ years younger, so maybe that has something to do with it. I am not particularly interested in women with their own kids or in women who have been divorced. It brings too much baggage, though I would consider them in a non-OLD setting. However, I seem to have plenty of options among never married, child-free women in their 20s so I don’t feel…

Or you could be receptive to his views that less housework needs to be done. Too often women view things as my way or the Highway. Much of the time men just accept their woman’s view of cleanliness and then end up unhappy about not being able to use their own house for fear messing something up. That is where the idea of “man caves” came from. The female is obsessive over the state of the rest of the house so the man creates a space where he can do his own thing. A “man cave” would be unnecessar…

One aspect of studies like this that always strikes me is that in general women believe that more housework is necessary. Per week, single fathers do 10 hours of housework, while single mothers do 14 hours. That is 40% more. When you look at the imbalance in housework among couples, that means that 40% of the housework being done is work that the man does not believe is necessary to do. It is the woman’s choice to undertake additional housework to satisfy her own preferences. So if you look at m…

In your Tinder profile, don’t say you are married. Say something that seems fun, like “looking for someone fun to drink with at rooftop happy hours”. Then get better pictures. There are Tinder guides on TheRedPill sub. Find those and apply them. Tinder works in major metropolitan areas. Also get hobbies where you meet a mixed group of people. Cross fit, boxing class, yoga, something.

In my experience, women often will not learn not to touch the (metaphorical) hot stove. The reaction is who turned on the stove? Why wasn’t I told? There should have been a sign! Whoever turned on the stove is at fault, not me. This just happened to me and it isn’t my fault at all. Then she will touch a stove again, and again it will be everyone else’s fault but hers. Because she felt like touching the stove (doing whatever action it is she wants), that must have been the right thing to do. If t…

How is that “shitbag behavior”? She said they were having an “open/honest conversation” about an issue in the relationship and he explained his side. His feelings were a dealbreaker for Q (and I don’t blame her for ending it) but I don’t see shitbag.

She makes even less if you view her income as additional to the man’s. Her income will get hit at a high marginal tax rate, so you only see 55%-65% of it (depending on your bracket and your state/local taxes). At 420k, additional income will be taxed at 35% federally (or 37% if you’re over $612k). If you assume a roughly 5% state tax, you will only see $60k post tax. Then you have childcare costs if you have kids. That can be $20k per kid if they are in day care. If you hire a nanny, that is lik…

Not sure how old you are or your friends are, but in my experience, misogynist attitudes are more prevalent in younger men (maybe under 30 or so). And that holds true both for red pill and not red pill. Guys I know who are more red pill (all over 30 at this point) do not have that attitude.

I think my wife and I may have similar approaches to child rearing as you and your wife. My wife gets them to do things mostly by coaxing and coddling them. If they are crying at night, she tries to be gentle and sweet and convince/coax them to go back to sleep. It often results in many and long trips to their rooms. I will try coaxing maybe 2 or 3 times, but if they don’t comply, I either ignore them (eg, if crying in room) or force them to do what I want (eg, I change a squirming child into hi…

What steps do you and others take with your kids to undo the programming from a movie like this? Do you directly address that Ralph took the wrong steps, or do you just continue to teach them about being a man and essentially ignore the movie? (Or some third option?)

It is a bit pricey. But watch for sales. Like the majority of retailers, they usually have them around the spring-summer-fall holidays like Memorial Day. If you have time and there is a Nordstrom Rack near you, that is another option but you have to sort through lots of shit. I also agree with the J Crew recommendation above.

I like Bonobos. It is all mail order. Their shirts and pants are very fitted and slim. They have three fit options, with the tailored slim fit being the slimmest. I have been wearing the slimmest, but they are starting to get a little tight as I have built some muscle. Their return policy is good so you can try stuff on. Or if you are traveling to a bigger city, you may be able to find a retail store (they still send you stuff from a warehouse). Suit supply is another nice option. Their shirts a…

Earlier this year I tried buying a copy from Amazon for like $500. It never showed up and the seller canceled the order. So I found somewhere to download it from links in comments in MRP or TRP.
