You're basically talking about rentboys in Madonna's case (most of whom are probably gay anyways). That's no different from the fact that a guy can pick up a hooker. Neither has anything to do with attractiveness. For women, attractive = youth and beauty, or at least how relatively much of it she's held on to. Men have more avenues along which to attract women.

A woman "being attractive for her age" means not looking her age. Not true of men. And if a guy wants to bang a woman, her status and money have absolutely no bearing on that question. He'll want that whether she's rich, poor, high- or low-status. It's silly to pretend the sexes are similarly situated as far as attraction goes. All human experience shows otherwise.

"Probably" means you don't know.

You're assuming the 50n girl will have a long-term relationship, or at least will stay in one, rather than just continuing her pattern. And that's kind of my point: none of her liaisons are that memorable (including you, if you're the latest "passenger").
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/20 11:41 PM

Comparison isn't merely a matter of "was someone else better or worse." If you're just one of 50 in a girl's list, you aren't likely to stand out much either way. The point is, with a high-n girl like that, nobody matters that much. Like the saying goes "she's not yours, it's just your turn."

Men's looks may matter but they're not as dependent on youth as women's looks are. And women's status is irrelevant to their hooking up.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/20 09:51 PM

Women's status and money is worthless to their attractiveness. And men don't need to stay looking young to be attractive, at least not in the way women do.

Wait until 2021 and the hangover from 2020. An extra paycheck (or at least unemployment check) plus a male escort for walking down de-policed, boarded up streets is going to look a lot better in the next few years to all the gals who were #livingtheirbestlife with mimosa brunches and dog-momming a few years before.

I've been wondering at what point men are going to be able to sort of "moneyball" all the essential functions of a girlfriend out of, say, pr0n, anime, viddya, ASMR, OnlyFans, and maybe the occasional romp with a sex worker, without having to bear the actual costs of a relationship. It'd be sort of like Zipcar rather than the dealership.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/20 02:40 AM
2

The key difference is that men can still be considered attractive even as they age. Women basically have to still look younger than their age to stay attractive. The wall still may be there. But men have avenues to vault over it.

Women with lots of tattoos are like heavily tagged-up buildings: they're wide open, lots of bums have probably been there before you, and they may be contaminated with stuff that's hazardous to your health.

You're the one who misunderstands genetics. Two things: 1) People have more than one child (and so pass on potentially more than 100% of their genes): and 2) Humans are not constantly exogamous. At great grandparents x 4, you're talking about fifth cousins. There's a decent chance you'd wind up reproducing with a fifth cousin, especially if you lived in the small communities most humans have throughout our genetic history as a species.

As a relationship progresses, hopefully, you build up positive experiences, trust, affection, and commitment that at least partially replaces some of the spark that was there at the beginning. And you can at least remember nostalgically the glory days and enjoy the memory. You can't build though or reminisce on what never existed in the first place.

Men are constantly told that they must work on their hobbies/career/work out "for their own personal satisfaction" or "to do it for themselves" but this post seems to imply that men need more incentive than to just do things for themselves. When men work for themselves and their own personal satisfaction, most will be happy working just enough to live in a crappy apartment and fund their hobbies and leisure pursuits. Which is fine as far as it goes. But you can't run a modern economy on that lev…

Personal experience: a woman who has been a sex worker is ruined beyond redemption for any kind of normal relationship. Once they've learned to treat sex as transactional, there's no way they'll ever unlearn that.

I have absolutely no doubt that girl-on-girl and sissy porn have had a significant role to play in the explosion of autogynephilic transgenderism.

Oh really? I don’t think trying to go out of their league applies to everyone. General trend. More importantly, whether someone gets aroused by someone else doesn't depend on their own situation. The only reason I can think of women “looking worse” than men is having kids. I think it says a lot about a person who holds that against someone. Again, it isn't a question of "holding" anything "against" anyone. See above about arousal. Women usually seem to have a hard time understanding how involunt…

Not quite. Women hit the wall earlier and harder than men. Not to say that a man at 50 is in his salad days but it's the difference between faded and gone. Also, if nothing else, nobody is trying to hook up with themselves. You don't base who you want on where you stand. Everybody wants to go out of their league.

I’m telling my fellow Gen-X men to stop being such pervs, and appreciate the wonderful women our own age. IOW: settle for your leftovers and like it! Not exactly an appealing message. Younger men will eventually get their turn too. There's no reason a man should accept years of involuntary celibacy and being ignored, only to settle for leftover roasties onxe they run out of better options.

You are way, way over-autisming this. Physical attraction isn't "associated" with traits that people are attracted to. It is the thing people are attracted to. Not necessarily to the exclusion of all else.

These guys keep saying single women in their 30's "should have been in a serious relationship in her early 20's instead of riding the CC", but she probably was in a serious relationship at some point in her early 20's, that just didn't work out? Serial monogamy versus promiscuity is often a distinction without a difference. The only difference in this hypothetical is probably whether or not the woman subjectively was putting particular guys into a "serious relationship" box (whether or not he re…

I'm not an endocrinologist. If they're like Emma Watson or something, where they never quite made it to womanhood, I guess they'll always look sort of childlike. Then they might be in their 30s and look... not. I've never seen these mythical unicorns though who somehow look like they're still in their early 20s by 30. It's just not a thing. Usually it's the eyes.

Not sure what that means. Cougars often go clubbing even when they don't fit in anymore. They might pass in their own eyes, they don't pass in anyone else's.

Early 20s is not the most competitive age bracket. It's later 20s when women start to get desperate and choosy. That's a paradox RP has recognized for a long time.

There are no women who are 31 or 35 but look 22 or 23. There just aren't. That's self-delusion plus successful marketing from the cosmetics industry talking.

I was always mature for my age, but relatively inexperienced, and got married to an older woman who was relatively immature, but a little too experienced, in my early 20s. Worst mistake I ever made. Would've been better off marrying a crack whore. I barely managed to salvage my life after getting divorced by 30. Spent my 30s mostly making up for lost time.

The Honeymoon phase will run out REGARDLESS because you'll change within those decades together. Hence, why marriage in your youth is a horrible idea. The point is if you start a marriage with a child on the way, you never have a honeymoon phase. You go from dating to married with kids in one fell swoop. Figure you get the two years of dating, getting to know someone, etc., before you commit or get married. You should get some time then to be a couple. Like I said, probably about five years. Ren…

I guess you can have some overlap of cohabitation during the "dating" phase that drifts eventually into official, de jure marriage. I still took the 2 years though to be the "getting to know you" dating phase where people might decide whether they're going to commit or not, and they're not yet really committed to each other. I can say from personal experience that if you go right into parenthood without taking a few years just to be a couple, like if you conceive during the honeymoon, your marri…

"Acceptable" to whom? Women are way, way more lazy and apathetic about their appearance than they were 10-15 years ago (and if you go back 50 years, fuhgeddaboutit). They accept being slobs themselves, of course. I don't think men generally appreciate it, but that is what it is.

Keep in mind that "the game" has only been known and developed really in this century, and has taken decades to percolate around the internet. If you're a guy whose early 20s were before then, you missed out. Also, there are all manner of fucked up childhood situations that can get in the way of people being put together enough by adulthood to function until they take some years to heal (at best): religion, abusive parents, bullying, the criminal justice or social services systems, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/04/20 05:49 PM

Is it butthurt or is it trying to figure out how to get what they missed out on? You can't expect someone to somehow be an adult and ready to settle down when they never had formative experiences that get them ready for those things. They have to start back at square one.

/r/PurplePillDebate25/04/20 05:36 PM

Typically 2 years. So out of the 10 year window, you spend two of them date? That works! 2 years to date. But then, ideally, most couples probably should spend some years married without kids so they can enjoy each other and build a relationship that isn't dominated by the fact that they're parents. 5 years is probably ideal. So then that 10 year window becomes a 3 year window. And that assumes everything goes perfectly on schedule: no breakups, divorce, job losses, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/04/20 05:09 PM

Seems to me an older man should work even harder to breed with a younger woman then. He can't make himself any younger, but he can find a younger partner and lower the total "burden" of age between the two of them.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/04/20 05:03 PM
8

Also, a man's physical contribution to the reproductive process is over in one moment. Women's bodies have to carry the child for 9 months. That gets harder and more dangerous as they get older. Risks of complications, prematurity, etc., all go way up.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/04/20 05:00 PM

18 to 24 for a woman is, almost always, the years she's going to be the hottest. It's physical attractiveness that's at its best. Nothing more, nothing less. The collateral implications of how unprepared she might be for marriage or children or what issues she might have better addressed later all have nothing to do with how hot she is at her peak. And, when it's over, no matter how much she might have improved in other ways, she will never have that "prime" to give to anyone else.

Two related thoughts: You shouldn't give a shit what women, or anybody else, thinks you can or can't talk about. Play by your rules. Notice how much they give a shit about what we think of them, and how much it affects them.

I'll just point out that more cultures in the world are polygamous than are monogamous, and more people live in polygamous cultures than monogamous. That was the old-school solution to too few HVM: women shared them. Trads have the theory, of course, that monogamy acted as a sort of "union" for men that meant even medium-tier men had an opportunity to get married, so they'd have an incentive to better themselves, or at least be productive enough to create an economic surplus. (The "patriarchal d…

Very few men, if any, view women as humans. Oh now, I think you're being too hard on yourselves. I've definitely met a few women who at their best, on a good day, if I were in a generous mood, I might believe were human, or something approaching it. We are conduits to sex, children and stability. Eh. One's mileage may vary on all three counts. Sex maybe, though good sex is hit or miss. I guess I can relate. My ex-wife was a trainwreck financially and career-wise, among many other ways. Part of the reason I left is because she was getting in the way of my education and career. I'd still recommend never letting a guy think you've been "bought," even implicitly by thinking you're with him for his money. It's not too much of a stretch from there to him realizing he can trade up.

And I quote: 6.Generous men are a non-negotiable. While we believe in having your own career and making your own money, a man still has to add financial value to your life and make you feel like he can take care of you. This means not splitting the bill and not dating financially challenged men.

TRP and FDS may each speak, respectively, to men and women based on experiences that are unique to each, and that reflect asymmetries in sexual relations. To men, the idea of inherent value sounds like bullshit. We don't have any sense of inherent value of ourselves. The world tells us what we are based on what we accomplish. But maybe that's because, as even FDS concedes, we're the ones who have to go out and pursue. And that means women mostly have to screen, with the goal of mostly not giving…

What you're saying sounds like an oxymoron. How can you have any kind of objective analysis based on internal characteristics? You need some sort of external metric to objectively measure value. You can value yourself all the live long day, but if you're objectively low value, you aren't going to get high value. (Or perhaps 100% of anybody on your level winds up "naturally filtering themselves out," leaving 0%. The dearth of success stories on FDS makes me think that's probably the result of FDS…

No, you're actually completely wrong. It has nothing to do with being what a man wants. That is literally the entire point of FDS. That's why I keep saying FDS is mostly solipsism. The only way to tell your "value" in dating is if you're actually valued by the other sex. What you think about your own value is completely subjective, irrelevant and orthogonal to the question being asked. (This is assuming that FDS actually is any kind of "Dating Strategy," as it claims.) RP started with an effort …

Brutal honesty: none of y'all are really all that special at the start, whatever we might say in pillow talk or Hallmark cards. If you are special at all, it's going to take us a hell of a lot longer than 90 days to know. Like, if we could make it through major life events with you by our side.

Well that's their problem, isn't it? Hahaha! Maybe find "the one" before you take too many "bites at the apple." 😜 Personally, realistically, I'm not super-obsessed with n counts, so long as they aren't so high they mean compulsive nymphomania or other unresolved psychological problems, or there's a big disparity between people considering a relationship.

Most human beings don't enjoy objectively painful things that do not stimulate any pleasurable parts of the body, unless they have something wrong with them or they've been mentally conditioned. That mental conditioning takes years for girls to unlearn, I don't think I have yet entirely. It's difficult. Hmm, I don't know. A man is probably going to need to be sure his "bad intentions" are going to be fulfilled with a women before he decides whether he has "good intentions" with her. Otherwise, he's risking being disappointed later on if the sexual compatibility isn't there, in my opinion. Also, a woman who doesn't have some "bad intentions" herself with a man, or at least not very strong ones, a smart man may conclude she's just not that interested. Maybe we need to pull out the Greek "agape/philia/eros" distinction here with how we define "love?" At least when we're talking about the "eros" definition (sexual, romantic love), sex and physical attraction is going to be an intrinsic part of that. Without the physical attraction, you're left with one of those other kinds of love. Someone you love but aren't physically attracted to is a friend.

Any man who falls in love before he's at least gone for a "test drive" with a woman has got some serious issues. You're making assumptions about what a majority of women do or don't like or want. Maybe you're correct, maybe you're not, but I don't think there's evidence one way or the other. If people just aren't compatible on their sexual desires, then it isn't going to work out, and it shouldn't. If women are knuckling under to pressure, they shouldn't do that, and should walk away rather than seek approval. (Funny, but that's something I agree with FDS on, the "pickmesha" thing.) Disagree with your take on "the wall." Women may have an easier time getting sex than older men, but they're going to largely be written off for commitment by most men. r/The_Wall provides a pretty good visual demonstration that, at some point, women just lose the youthful "spark" that they had in their prime. It's subtle, but something just disappears in most women somewhere between 25 and 35. I don't think that happens the same way with men (but I'm not a woman, so I don't know what they see f…

As to your second point, I wouldn't know one way or the other, so I'll take your word for it. As to your first point, partners who aren't "game," to use Dan Savage's term, to try new or adventurous things aren't worth the effort. It seems to me most of its "high value woman" concept is just solipsism. "Fake it until you make it," without much actual effort at self-improvement. I'd be more impressed if they told women, for example, to eat their greens and pick up a kettlebell every once in a while. Women are already too vulnerable to self-delusion and rationalization as it is. Also, the focus on money and finances can backfire. If were on a date, then I'd be picking the venue anyway, which means I can reasonably anticipate the budget. In that case, no problem picking up the bill. But I drew a hard line at buying girls drinks, etc., to show interest. (Which is consistent with TRP anyway. You shouldn't expect you can buy a girl's interest.)

Low effort. The whole purpose of culture is to learn from the experiences of others, not have to completely reinvent the wheel for yourself. I agree though that TRP has in many ways degenerated into spergs and bad advice.

Like I said men can’t have this abortions because they simply aren’t involved in the process. You could never have this option regardless what the state allows women to do with their bodies. Thus, that's why the discussion is about a "paper abortion," giving men equivalent rights to women.

You keep raising irrelevant points. If men choose not to support themselves at the same rate (i.e., live more frugally), they can. If they don't make enough to pay what the court says they have to in child support, they go to jail.

But if it’s really the loss of fertility that innately disgusts men, shouldn’t we all be extremely attracted to 12 year olds? That is when the majority of women begin their periods (and are thus able to get pregnant). They have ALL of their eggs (and are thus at maximum fertility). If the fertility argument was truth, why aren’t any men (besides the very rare and very despised pedophile) attracted to who is MOST fertile? Mothers under 15 face significantly increased risks of deadly complications…

Yes, we have single mothers because there are many women who make bad choices and don't take responsibility for them. "Wrecked it" means wrecked it. If you're substituting some other definition, then you mean something else. By that token, your mother and father are responsible for everything you do. Except... no, they aren't. Because your own actions and choices represent the last and most recent opportunity to control your actions. Same here. Both parties are responsible to a point. It gets easier for a guy to get casual as he gets into his 30s, grows up a bit, finally has some money and some confidence, if he never had those things. But then also, casual sex usually eventually turns out to be less entertaining and enjoyable once the novelty wears off. Like, "ok, I can finally go out with a reasonable chance of getting laid." It's not the government's job to police people's morals? Really? Then why do we have laws against... anything? Why are theft and murder illegal? A man's responsibility is absolved by a woman's decision to keep the child. They are both responsible in the original creation. But then... only one has responsibility after that about whether that fetus is carried to term. Once that is the case, the responsibility of the other person should end. Again though. The same logic applies to arguments against abortion. Why should we allow a morally-questionable procedure because a woman wanted to fuck without a condom? (Or, alternatively, why should we allow a woman to have a child the state has to pay for? We could have Chinese-style forced abortions if state budgets are the issue.) I can accept allowing women to have abortions. (Though the whole late-term/partial-birth thing is ghoulish, and basically seems indistinguishable from infanticide to me.) I don't accept the hypocrisy that it's some sort of "right" when a man will be forced into an involuntary parental relationship in equivalent circumstances. That's not a "right," it's a privilege. Women have the legal privilege (it's not a "right") to avoid becoming a parent if they get pregnant. Men do not have the right to avoid becoming a parent. I actually find conversation one of the least reliable ways to learn about somebody, at least compared to observation of past or present behavior. People lie, not just to others but to themselves, about who they are. You know what people really are by what they do, not what they say. We can spin hypotheticals all the live-long day, but if her "single" behavior was really something (take your pick: swinging, porn, "photo shoots" in Dubai, etc.), I wouldn't so casually dismiss it out of hand as not telling you something about the girl. The sex has to be there too. And it should hopefully be as good or better as you're ever going to get if you're going to "forsake all others." The problem though is that measurement of value isn't entirely subjective. The Hi-N woman was a better catch when she was younger. So it doesn't matter if she says or thinks she's "trading up." In one real, objective sense, she's depreciated in value since Chad(s). And Chad will have gotten what she had before for much less of an investment than she's now demanding from the Beta schlub. The whole point of the red pill is to see the objective reality of sex and relationships as they actually are.…

Well, any guy she had sex with the in past got the younger version of her. So in one sense, she'll always have given something to another guy that she can't ever give to you. By definition, you got less than he did.

Why would anyone value getting something from someone they've shared with everyone else? Even setting aside the "purchasing" metaphor? If a woman is sexually liberated and has had sex with a lot of different people, and she enjoys and is fulfilled by that, that's great. But it doesn't mean that any one person who gets what she's giving away should treat it as particularly special.

"Afraid" isn't the right word. It's a basic axiom of human behavior though that past conduct can be taken to predict future conduct. So a sexually-indiscriminate and adventurous woman perhaps isn't a great candidate for a faithful and satisfied long-term partner. Or... there's the other possibility: she's had her fun, but now (perhaps post-"Wall"), she wants to "settle down" with a guy. This is the classic "Alpha fux/Beta bux" assumption. Nobody with any self-respect wants to be anybody else's "…

The anthropological evidence says otherwise. As does history. In particular, the history of racist violence in the United States against African-Americans often started with "loose talk" by white women aimed at encouraging violence by white men. The Jonesboro Boys case, the Rosewood Massacre, and the murder of Emmett Till all happened this way. (This is part of the reason why the "BBQ Becky" and "Permit Patty" incidents a couple years ago stirred up so much controversy: they evoked some deep his…

Incorrect. Criminal liability as an accomplice attaches to people who encourage or solicit a crime as well.

In a context where women have been the ones stirring up the drama, as often happens, they bear responsibility as well. Sometimes criminal responsibility, if they've crossed the line far enough. If they haven't been involved in that way, obviously, they don't bear responsibility.

Agree to the extent that part of being in control as a man means knowing when to ignore the drama women kick up. Doesn't excuse her for causing drama with the intent of causing something to happen. That also doesn't excuse him for getting sucked in.

Nowhere have I said that men aren't responsible, merely that they often aren't solely responsible. A major part of being a responsible man though is not getting sucked into whatever drama women might be stirring up at the moment (a type of frame control).

It depends a lot on how you define "the Wall." I don't think anyone seriously makes the argument that at 30, women somehow just transform into hideous trolls whom no man will stomach. It's pretty much undeniable that, all else being equal, a woman will generally be most physically attractive somewhere between 18 and 22, and will fade at some point after that. (There are exceptions: "ugly duckling" very late bloomers, women who lose weight or otherwise invest significantly in an appearance they w…

Encouraging, soliciting, or requesting another person to commit a crime will get you charged as an accomplice. So, when women say "kick his MFin' ass!" or "smoke that fool!," yes, her fault.

Your reading comprehension is poor. No excuse or entitlement is offered. Merely an explanation of a dynamic. There's a reason soliciting or encouraging another person to commit a crime results in liability as an accomplice under criminal law.

See my comment. The means a woman often uses to do damage is a man.

It's worth observing that in practice, a significant amount of male violence is prompted, initiated, or "egged on" by women, who are often not exactly passive, innocent participants themselves. Ten minutes of watching "World Star Hip Hop" videos could tell you that. Complimentarianism at its worst. "High-homicide environments are alike. The setting is usually a minority enclave or disputed territory where people distrust legal authority, as in South Los Angeles, where law had broken down in the …

I don't think either sex is particularly great at empathizing with the other. As far as unattractive men go, there's a quote from Vox Day about "omega males" (the lowest rung on his version of the socio-sexual hierarchy) that is relevant: "Omegas can be the most dangerous of men because the pain of their constant rejection renders the suffering of others completely meaningless in their eyes."

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
