I am so sorry to hear that! I had the same. When I started talking about it no one wanted to listen to me or as you say, shut me out. But I still want to talk about it. I never thought about it but it might be true for me as well that I was more traumatized from the reactions of others when I came out about it.

The research show that it's 1 in 6 in the west and 1 in 4 in in countries that are more religious. The numbers are only the reported cases so there are much more. It's really shocking the numbers but more shocking that on one is talking about it.

Thank you for sharing that! It's just sad to think that most men don't feel they can share it with others because of the shame. I started to talk about for the first time when I watched the Oprah show where she hosted 200 men dealing with sexual trauma. It was the first time for me that I saw other men like me and at that moment I could understand my mental health for the first time. Sadly we don't have any public funding. We are working to get it, but it's crazy that most think that men don't really deal with sexual trauma or that men don't want to talk about it. Your comment gives me strengthen that I am doing the right thing. It is also part of my personal healing journey.

Thank you so much for saying this. I do have a team that works with me. Sadly, we work with no funds and we are all doing this as volunteers.
