| -3 | Mother slaps daughter in domestic dispute. Responding police kill fatherWhat’s the Latin phrase for when you start arguing a point other than the one being discussed? The first post was “This is what a police state looks like”. The second post was “omg yeah, I don’t even remember the last time a police officer was shot”. I said one instance of cops being dumb doesn't make it a police state and you not remembering a cop being shot don’t mean cops are not shot. Cops not being shot also doesn't mean we are in a police state. You then said if more cops were killed them … | /r/MensRights | 27/02/14 04:25 PM |
| -3 | Mother slaps daughter in domestic dispute. Responding police kill fatherSeriously, think about what you are saying. Being a garbage man is risky because there is heavy machinery. Being a police officer is risky because you are dealing with the worst of society on a daily basis and everyone hates you, which usually leads to them being a power tripping asshole if they weren't already. You guys know about the Stanford prison study and shit like that right? Or am I talking to a bunch of 15 year old that just listened to way to much NWA, I can't really tell. Should polic… | /r/MensRights | 27/02/14 12:36 PM |
| 1 | Mother slaps daughter in domestic dispute. Responding police kill fatherGo re-read how that escalated. I don't think I ever commented on the actual story. I just said people extrapolating that we are somehow in a police state because "hm I don't remember the last time a cop was killed" is a worthless thing to say. If I said "I don't remember the last time a man was mistreated because he was a man so mensrights is stupid", then that's not a valid point either. | /r/MensRights | 27/02/14 12:09 AM |
| -8 | Mother slaps daughter in domestic dispute. Responding police kill fatherYeah, I guess it's pretty clear Menrights is about as big of a hiveminded as the rest of reddit and I'm not allowed in because I don't think we live in a police state and I don't think circumcision is that bad. | /r/MensRights | 26/02/14 09:59 PM |
| 3 | Mother slaps daughter in domestic dispute. Responding police kill fatherOkay so from my crappy googling of numbers, there are 300 million people in the United States. A random post on google says 500 innocent people are killed in the US per year. That sounds like bullshit to me, but let's go with it. You have a 1 in 60,000 chance of randomly getting murder by a cop for no good reason then. There are 800,000 cops in the US according to Wikipedia and it seems like 150 cops are killed each year. So I'm just going to be lazy and say that's 1.5 in 8000. It's not as dange… | /r/MensRights | 26/02/14 09:43 PM |
| -5 | Mother slaps daughter in domestic dispute. Responding police kill fatherOkay, so like lets think about this. Do you really want the number of police killed to be greater than the number of people police kill? Ideally police are getting in fights with dangerous people so it's not unreasonable that some of them might die. Yeah they shouldn't be being dicks and hurting innocent people, but you sound like a crazy person. | /r/MensRights | 26/02/14 08:49 PM |
| -6 | Mother slaps daughter in domestic dispute. Responding police kill fatherLike I said, I'm not trying to make some argument that a bunch of cops died. I'm just saying that saying "hmm I've seen any cops die lately, we must be a in a police state" is a silly thing to say. | /r/MensRights | 26/02/14 06:57 PM |
| -7 | Mother slaps daughter in domestic dispute. Responding police kill fatherI'm not making a statistical argument. I'm just saying his lame "well I have seen anything about cops getting killed" is a worthless thing to say. Theoretically, cops' kill to death ratio should be pretty good considering they are ideally getting in fights with criminals and we should have a well equipped police force. | /r/MensRights | 26/02/14 06:53 PM |
| -17 | Mother slaps daughter in domestic dispute. Responding police kill fatherThat's kind of a worthless anecdotal statement. You could just hang out of reddit where it seems like people hate cops and where ever bad thing they do gets highlighted. Here's a random list of ever cop that died in 2014: https://www.odmp.org/search/year/2014 | /r/MensRights | 26/02/14 05:38 PM |
| 1 | FEMINIST: I would like to offer a different solution: Let's tax men. In fact, let's tax men a lot, more than they're already being taxed, and let's not tax women at all.I don't know. This paragraph makes me think it's a joke: "How many of these debacles have women really participated in? Perhaps some women run up debt. But it's usually on our Visa or Discover cards and we can redeem points for a spatula. And to be perfectly honest, we do a very good job at keeping debt on those to a minimum — unless it's a card that gives 5 percent back on our purchases like T.J. Maxx. It's just easier to pay in cash. Let the federal government try to pay in cash. Let it try to… | /r/MensRights | 07/12/13 04:38 PM |
| 6 | At least one female gamer gets it....I like MGS2 era Raiden in the sense that he’s the true Metal Gear Solid protagonist. A MGS protagonist is really a pawn. He gets sent into a mission on the basis of lies, and it all goes to hell and he never really figures it out until someone tells him everything until the dead end. Like if you think about Snake in MGS1, he’s supposed to be this smart veteran badass, but he pretty much does what anyone tells him even if it’s his (spoiler) freaking twin wearing sun glasses. Everyone was hating o… | /r/MensRights | 30/11/13 08:45 PM |
