I was the EXACT same way. I completely get it. I hated all that stuff. I still say; the kids live in my house, I don't live in their house. My whole life doesn't and SHOULDN'T revolve around them. There's more to life than kids. All I'll say is that you HAVE TO think about your happiness, man. Yes I know people think that kids should be your main source of joy but that isn't true - especially when you don't really enjoy it in the first place. When you mentioned waking up, I felt that completely.…

Your x and pqrxyz point is really good. It turns out my wife has been on tik Tok and talking a whole bunch of shit and posting videos about how terrible I am etc.. what's funny is that's some of these videos are weeks old and she claims that she is a single mom, divorced and doing it all by herself. I wonder what she's going to say on tik Tok about me actually filing lol I'm sure all of her loyal followers will be saying 'wtf.. I thought you were already divorced'. she's just creating a narrativ…

I've got two boys too. I have a huge file of everything she's said. I have heard that in court it's just better to focus on the good you can do for the kids instead of just shitting on her? Yeah, my life has been basically hell for like 5 years. Have I been perfect? No. But everyone sees how hard it is living with her/ being married. I definitely had my back breaking straw moment 2 days ago. What was your wife's immediate reaction? I'm partially worried about her trashing all my stuff when she g…

Comforting and sad knowing I'm not the only one with a SO like this

Dude, it really be like that. They'll find one small thing you do/did and use that as justification for them acting however tf they want

the one not cheating the one staying home with the kids the one who pays for shit My wife does the same thing. It's usually the ones that can't provide anything that are the first to insult you to make themselves feel better about them

Where are they now? I know it sucks but if she is how she wants to act and how she wants her kids to grow up, then that's on her. The kids will see how you are vs how she is

What an asshole. Dude just go to a lawyer, lay out to them everything that she's taken and what she left you. My wife does this thing where she says she can take everything etc but if the law is on your side, it doesn't matter what she says she can do. if she's already out making a new life with this dude, there'd be the reason that you can't have the house. Explain that to your lawyer

Bro then it's smooth sailing basically. Lay it out to the lawyer on what she took.. I assume the hardest part is going to be the custody stuff. Unfortunately I also assume it's not because she wants the actual children more but because she wants more money from you

Does she want a divorce?

Honestly it's tough. I'm still in so I'm trying not to rock the boat. It's difficult because we've got kids and she, realistically, wouldn't be able to support them by herself- even if we were divorced and I was giving her money. She's "not letting" me divorce her.

Damn dude, are you me? Military with literally the EXACT same story. Side lover etc.. your wife took your car, mine totalled mine the day before I was supposed to PCS

My guy. You said it yourself; you had a two hour convo with someone you're with. I know how hard it is living with the SO through this but if you're got a source of good in your life, why spent negative energy on your ex. I've learned that they won't hurt and you trying to make them hurt will only make things harder for you.

Damn dude, I was on a 8 month MEU and just came back. I'm really sorry to hear this, man. My wife moved on while I was at sea too. Shit's tough. Sorry I don't have any info, just know that we're all here with you man. Stay strong. I know how hard it is to stay mentally together when you have so much hate for the kids' mother but keep it together for them. I'm currently supporting my wife too and it sucks. I'm supporting her while she travels the country with her new man. It'll pass, bro. Keep st…

Holy shit. 19 years.. I'm really sorry. I only wasted four but that feels like four too many, I couldn't imagine almost 20 years of that shit. Damn fucking right she didn't pay any bills. Raising the kids, cool. Thanks. You know what made keeping those kids alive possible? You and your job. You paying the bills. You buying the food with your money. Fuck that

It just blows my fucking mind that they can take the house. The only thing my wife has done a value over these four years is pop out two kids. Since then all she's done is just sit at home, cause problems, spend money that you doesn't have and if not literally cheat while I'm on deployment, come as close to it as she could. I know it's all my fault but I fucking hate myself more than I hate her for being so stupid

I want to do that but I was under the impression that if I cancel her cards or cancel the phone account for example, that I can be hit for that too. Something like 'through the separation she has to maintain the same quality of life that she had before'?

Thank you for your advice. I did ask my chain of command (like my bosses) if I can move out and if I will be hit with any kind of abandonment. can you please explain what the status quo thing is a little more? I know she'll hit a wall. I moved out and she was already having sex that next week

Definitely not going to get married. I'm only 28 and just looking at my situation if I was someone else, it's really a shame that someone my age already is so negative and so cynical. I'm sure apartments the military, but it's also my bad experience. I get out very soon so once I do I won't have to worry about my command at all. The fact that she doesn't even understand why what she did would make me so angry makes me even more angry. She had the nerve to be nice and text me throughout the day a…

Hey dude, I feel your pain. I'm 28 now but got married at around 24. Two kids, one through blackmail, one through a break of trust, years of arguments and even more resentment. 8 month deployment on a ship, saw her social media and the idea that it was presenting. When I got back I moved out and she started having sex with someone, the one that I suspected, within a week. My point is that I get that you're young, but life can hit you hard early. we physically separated but nothing paperwork wise…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
