I don’t use a blow dryer at all. But, When I wash my hair, I always feel bad about laying on my husbands chest because I know it has to feel gross. I always remind him that my hair is wet when he tries to pull me close. It’s probably not a “color” issue it just a sticky, cold feeling issue. Maybe I should buy a blow dryer….

Just be a listening ear when you see him. Ask him how the visit went and let him talk. He may want to talk, he may not. My husbands father had a stroke before he passed and it was one of the only times I have seen him cry (had been together 15yrs). I wanted to do everything I could for him, but him looking back at those couple of weeks, he just appreciates how I just was there for him. Just be the listener and be available to him as much as you can over the next few weeks.

I got pregnant when I was still in high school and the day I found out, I requested more hours at work. I hated trying to balance work with my baby and I always wanted to be able to stay home with my kids one day. I got married to a wonderful man when she was about 5 and we had a child together a year later. 6m after he was born, I quit work. It’s what I was always called to do, what I always wanted. I never understood the mentality of two people deciding to work, in order to pay for their expen…

Ha. Yeah, I used to go on baby center when pregnant. It’s absolutely insane how it used to be a great place to have civil discussion and ask questions without shame. Now the boards are run over with trolls and snarks.

Yeah. They definitely have a way with words, very shortly after they banned me; I remember seeing someone post an article about drop kicking their baby to the moon and I was like, wow. I honestly cannot believe people would even jokingly say something along those lines. And I definitely did notice that while I was still part of that group, any advice given was; it’s not you, it’s your husbands problem or I can’t believe your husband/boyfriend/partner whatever would say something like that or exp…

A while ago, I was banned from r/breakingmom I never even made a post on this page; I’m not even sure I had commented on any rpw posts at that point. they somehow still banned me. Edit to add, looked back and mods reason was due to “high volume of toxic and rude behavior coming from this sub and toxic culture”

My dh constantly makes remarks that would make a feminist faint; but they’re total compliments to me.

The first Christmas my (eventual) dh and I were together was like this. I had picked out lots of thoughtful gifts; I listened to him and bought accordingly. He needed a new wallet, liked fossil watches, missed the first season of a tv show he was watching etc. so I bought those items. He got me some random stuff, one item was a calendar.... I was disappointed. We’ve been married 15yrs now and I still have to spell out EXACTLY a what I want. He’s just a bad gift giver. It doesn’t make me think th…

If you’re a Christian and you have an urge to do something (that is in line with the Gospel) then maybe God is trying to get your attention. I’m not saying that this is going to go one way or another, but there’s usually reasons why we have stuff pop in our head.

Can I add that during your 1st trimester, I really think you should eat whatever you feel comfortable eating. I mean, obviously don’t eat McDonald’s every day or something ridiculous... The nausea and food aversion hits hard but will (usually) subside by the beginning of the second trimester.

My dh is 40 and he still doesn’t ‘get’ how depression or self harm thoughts work in other people. He thinks if you have xyz (good job, happy seeming home etc) then what do you have to be depressed about? Maybe this is part of the issue with your SO. I also agree that it’s not a thing you should text about, if you were looking for kind words, you should have called.

I think you should seriously consider what your game plan would be if he is in fact, the father. The other woman sounds like she would not be a fun personal deal with for 18+ years. (and this is only if he’s being truthful about how she basically coerced him into a child). I had a child (she is now 19) with someone who was (and still is) a train wreck. He put a huge strain on the relationship between my husband at I at times. Just the difference in raising her plus the ‘other’ family, it got dif…

Some men are complete morons when it comes to influencers. There are some who honestly think zero pores, no cellulite, teeny waist and giant rear is obtainable

So I kinda skimmed, sorry for that. But, I just wanna say... I think if everyone waited to feel 100% ready for a baby, hardly anyone would have one. Some of my words of wisdom, talk with your spouse about what role he will play in raising the baby. A LOT of women get frustrated with the fact that they don’t feel dh helps out. Some men don’t feel like it’s their job to do certain things when it comes to a baby. Of course, that can change when the baby actually arrives. But keeping communication o…

Biblically, a man is supposed to ‘leave and cleave’ when marriage is involved. Meaning, he is to take up with his wife and concentrate on that relationship and that family.

I do. I used to be totally against it. Until I held a gun and shot a gun. Wow. It’s very empowering.

So, I may be the only one saying this, but I read the post and instantly thought this is a guy trying to get turned on by whatever the women respond.

I was a single mom (to my own child) at 18. Started dating my soon to be husband when I was almost 20. Your match is out there somewhere, just don’t force it. What you’re doing is amazing by the way.

He is my earthly rock. He holds me against his strong body when I feel like my life is too much for me to handle and he just holds me while I cry or tell him everything that’s bugging me. He can also fix pretty much anything around the house. Car not running right? He knows how to fix it, wish there was another outlet on that wall? He’s putting one in the next day.

One of the biggest things I have learned to accept is: when you’re in a relationship, the only person you can change is you. Stay strong during this trying time! There’s someone out there who will treat you they way you deserve to be treated.
