She has reached out to me twice via text, i responded both times with a positive response , but kept it short. Not sure how to proceed from there? I did decide it's best to go no contact for a while and let her initiate.

1.5 years. I didn't confront her but, deep down I feel like a guy wouldn't feel comfortable asking to see you and hang out unless you've been responding to his messages. Am I right? I didn't catch her talking to him. But the way she said he keeps constantly DMing her and although she says she doesn't like it, my gut tells me a guy doesn't keep doing that unless you've been responding back to him, which gives him some hope.
