She said dirty old men hit on groped and assaulted. If you didn’t hit on groped or assault young women, then you’re not the group being referred to. Dirty old men are a specific group of men specifically described in the comment. Hallucinating subtext that isn’t there is weird lol

This is wildly inaccurate. People, men and women, can keep up a facade of what you want for a very long time if it’s productive to their goals and they have a certain combination of character traits. Shit think of the stereotypical serial killer thing, where all their friends/neighbors/families/spouses had no idea and said they were a great person. Think of back in the pre social media time and the number of people who pulled off having two families who knew nothing about each other. Some people…

Genuinely intrigued by the last part of your reply, the “under those circumstances” part- does that mean that if a man were to have a vasectomy or a woman were to be on birth control, and a pregnancy occurred anyway, you would be okay with abortion in that circumstance?

I’m fascinated by by specifically your comment that you would not complain, when at the same comment you acknowledge a few of the most obvious drawbacks of such a system. I’m also thrown by “and get nothing in return” when I feel like the return is both obvious and is inherently making relationships transactional something you seemed against in earlier replies. Ig it comes down to when does compromising become transactional and how much are women or men expecting the other to change, and how muc…

May I just recommend FD signifier on YouTube? He’s a video essayist. He creates a lot of very high quality work specifically about young black men, sexuality, fetishization, the manosphere, etc in a very empathetic but real way. He’s a very well educated black man who is married with children and was a teacher before YouTube. For a few that very specifically relate to what you’re discussing- The dangerous myth of black men’s sexuality: https://youtu.be/RP1YI6Wi6gs?si=UPEW7TlqbtiI18Gv What really…

Translation: I reject science and chose to stay ignorant. Or is it only science to you when it confirms your bias?

Just going to add on here, even though this is all anecdotal and not exactly what you asked for- I'm also the breadwinner of our family, my husband is a SAHD. I do tend to be fairly left wing, while he's much closer to the center, politically speaking, but leans more blue ever since Trump. He's been a SAHD since our daughter was 6mo(she's turning 5), and he's the best part of my life. Not because of material things, or looks, or being a provider, or anything like that, but because of who he is a…

Sure, people like when people they're attracted to are also attracted to them. That's a whole differenf conversation though lol Like if my husband reduced me to just how he's attracted to me, that would be fucked up. If a couple is having a serious convo and one of them keeps making is sexual that's fucked up. If a rando on the street tells you you look like a good fuck, even if they're attractive, that's fucked up. Sexualization is not mutual attraction or being found attractive lol

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
