Then She was constantly making threats about making fake accusations when she didnt get her way. The smart thing would have been to spend $10 on a dictaphone (or even a free phone app) and record her threats. In my city if a stranger tries to engage you in conversation in the street they're most likely going to tell you an elaborate tale of woe and ask you if you could help them out with the bus fare.
