How would someone born in 1927 have first hand knowledge about the dating market around the time they were born?

Hugging your friends is disgusting?

There are very few men who have 0 dates.

You write like abortion has no risks.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/24 02:51 PM

Sex is no longer nessecry for reproduction. We have IVF. There are virgin women giving birth.

Most marriage do not fail. US statistics says that first marriage end in divorce 43 percent of the time, so majority of people who get married stay together until death.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/24 06:29 PM
7

Yes, I do it in front of my wife all the time.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/24 03:19 PM

But what is the logic? Why the kid she has makes you second place? What if she married someone else and he decided to divorce her before she had a kid with him? By your logic, you are still second place.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/24 09:17 AM
1

That doesn't really matter for procreation, because you only need one...
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/23 09:41 PM

Why being most masculine is important in your view? Many people, including many women don't care about this criterion.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/23 07:15 PM

36 is not too old to have kids. So it was a decision they made.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/23 11:19 AM

Your argument doesn't work for discrete sets (I am a professional mathematician).

Who said anything about incels? The claim is that for average guys who got women in their 20s, it is easier in their 30s.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/23 07:37 AM
2

That's a very bad reason to be a parent in my opinion.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/23 08:27 PM
8

So if a couple adopts a baby, they are not really his parents in your opinion?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/23 08:25 PM
8

You make it sound like the only point of parenthood is to pass down your genes. If you are raising the child, you are the father. You are the one who experiences the day to day life of being a father. Not the sperm donor.

Swipe data has exactly the same problem: it is based only on looks. But women are often attracted to men they know based on other qualities, such as charisma. This is simply not something an app photo can show them.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/23 03:13 PM
3

That's because women are less visual. If they got to know the guy, it's entirely possible they would want him.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/23 02:55 PM
2

Attraction is absolutely affected by behavior and not just by looks.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/07/23 06:43 AM

I didn't say they do not exist, just that they are very far from being the majority.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/23 01:08 PM

"Among those 18 to 29 years of age, 63% of men versus 34% of women... ". So even before the age of 30, only 34 percent of women are single.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/23 12:52 PM
2

Where in this data it's written that majority never marry? I see the opposite.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/23 12:49 PM
2

This is for all age groups. Not really relavent, as it includes people who are very young. This is why you need to look at specific age groups, like the data I provided.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/23 12:45 PM

69.5 percent of women in the US between the ages of 30-34 were married, as of 2022. Clear majority.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/23 12:40 PM

What you claim is the typical modern western woman is actually not the typical western modern woman. Majority of women marry and have children, and are not as you described them.

How do you know that they are not happy with the relationship they find?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/23 07:04 AM
1

Which is very far from 80 percent
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/23 03:25 PM
4

That makes no sense. 70 percent of men in the 30s are in long term relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/23 06:04 AM

His claim however was specifically about women. Not about people in general.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/23 04:26 PM
1

Short unattractive for me. Men have ways to become attractive even with bad look. For example, by becoming a business leader , or being very charismatic. I know how to do these things.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/23 01:32 PM
7

How can one do such a comparison? I mean, I live with my partner for 10 years. We have been through so much together. There is no other person in the world that I know so well. Comparing her to other people seems so strange.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/23 05:55 AM

I am 39 and agree with him. Am I old enough?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/23 04:48 PM

Whatever they agree between them. This is a decision for the couple to make.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/23 01:48 PM
3

I agree with you, but even if the wall existed, why would anyone be happy about it? Being happy about strangers misery is a rather sociopathic behavior.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/23 04:31 PM

This is so far from the reality I know that I am not sure what to say. I know so many women who have self confidence problems, so many women stay for years with men who treat them badly because they are afraid they will end up alone, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/23 10:07 PM

Have fun. Your choice. I prefer to continue living with my spouse, but I respect that other people have other choices.

I open up to her all the time. I probably cry more than her. She is OK with this, comforting me, and it did not change her.

Are you aware of the fact that many young women (most?) are insecure about their bodies?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/23 12:31 PM
6

Yes. There are many many many young women who are insecure. This definitely contributes to it.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/23 10:04 AM
3

Real life doesn't work like this. There are many average looking men dating good looking women.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/23 10:02 AM
2

How does this mindset help them? Do you think being angry is good for you?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/23 12:06 PM

Average looking.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/23 11:55 AM

It mainly shows to me, as a successful blue pill man, how self destructive these ideas are. The individuals promoting this over the past few days are clearly not well.

How else do you gain knowledge about human behavior?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/23 08:35 AM

What makes you think you understand her better than I do? I am the one living with her for a decade.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/23 08:32 AM
2

No. It is not. I love the connection I have with my spouse. I would never replace her with a robot.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/23 08:29 AM
1

Why even discuss this? How does this come up? Especially so soon? I have been with my spouse for 10 years, and she still never asked me about my n count.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/22 08:38 AM
9

Ah? Women socialize more than men, and usually have a larger social network.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/22 07:51 AM

I can't give you statistics. I can only tell you from my own experience that I am 38 years old and I don't know anyone from my age group who is single.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/22 07:20 AM
1

That's not unique to the blue pill. Everyone's experience is based on their own limited experience.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/22 04:26 PM
1

Life? I mean, before finding my spouse (met through a mutual friend), just by hanging out, talking to people, making friends, etc, I kept getting to know women. Being friends with them, getting to know their friends, and so on.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/22 04:09 PM
4

That's just wrong. Women pursue regular men all the time, once they get to know them and decide they are interested.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/22 06:39 AM
7

I disagree. Majority of people date, have relationships, and eventually get married.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/22 09:01 AM

So if it's your girl it's not gross? I am trying to understand your logic.

What about period blood? Do you feel the same about it?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/22 09:49 AM

I am 38, but spending the day in a wedding of friends who are 28. The entire wedding is made of 20s couples. They seem to ignore the weird common wisdom on this sub, and just live their lives happily with their spouses (which they all meet in real life).

Most people in Japan are either married or were married.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/22 08:18 AM

The amount of bad looking men who treat their wife like shit contradicts this.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/22 07:21 AM

When the distribution is normal, which in this case, it likely is, average = median.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/22 06:52 AM

It's an important part of a relationship. You don't have to form a relationship with another person, but in my opinion, life are better with a good companion.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/22 10:13 AM
4

I don't get this. Do you think this experiment shows all women are evil?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/22 03:00 PM

Why would the existence of shitty women make me black pilled?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/22 02:42 PM

I am a man, and also do not accept it. I am very happy with my wife, and have absolutely no need for doing things with other women.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/22 08:21 PM

It's just not the same experience. Also, think about this long term. People move, marry, have children. Often people that can dedicate time for you know will have much less time when they start a family.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/22 10:43 AM
7

A true life partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/22 10:27 AM
5

That's why you don't do it. You find a good relationship with a woman that accepts you for who you are, and allows you to express your true feelings.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/22 10:14 AM
9

I completely disagree with you. I would even ask further, what is the point of being in a long term relationship with a woman if I can't even express my feelings? I do it all the time in front of my spouse, and it does not harm our relationship. It makes it stronger.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/22 08:00 AM

fat, broke, bald man Go to r/relationships and you will find plenty of examples of such married men.

Zero percentage I am aware of. Virtually everyone I know are in long term relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/22 07:42 AM

No, I don't think about this at all. Been together for 10 years, and I think about it zero times a day.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/22 03:17 PM

Selfish for the family. Not selfish for himself. But you talked about being selfish in dating. I get from this that you are also being selfish towards the woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/22 08:18 AM
4

Dating with the purpose of finding a life long mate? If so, what would be the purpose in being an asshole while searching for someone to spend the rest of your life with? Why would you want to be a asshole towards such a person? And why would you want to live with a person who has no problem with being an asshole towards them? I just don't understand your logic.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/22 08:07 AM

Why is that a problem that men have more success in their 30s than in their 20s?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/22 07:52 AM

Doesn't this limits everyone's observational reach?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/22 03:57 PM

This sub contains one of the weirdest echo chambers I have ever seen in the internet. From it I learned that apparently regular men do not date. Yet, as a 38 year old guy, I know of almost no single men my age. Everyone around me is either married with several kids or in a long term relationship. This includes people in their mid to late twenties. Regular people, in long term relationships. Yet, the common wisdom here seem to suggest that my experience just do not exist.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/22 10:30 AM
3

Your comment is very weird. I am a blue pill guy. I respect women. This does not prevent me from having sex with women. Why would it?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/22 08:23 AM
1

I know many fat men in long term relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/22 08:12 AM

Well, as I said, I am a nerd, and have no problem with women. I have a great spouse that I really love and loves me back.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 11:12 AM
2

I think anyone who have been a part of a serious relationship for a prolonged period of time will tell you that you just cannot know. Watching from the outside, you have no idea about the internal dynamics of the relationship, and this, not external stuff, is what really matters in the long term.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 09:56 AM
1

What's wrong with being a nerd? I am a professional mathematician, probably the nerdiest profession in existence. I would love for my future child to follow my steps.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/22 09:33 AM
2

Of course. Sometimes my spouse is in the mood when I am not.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/22 10:18 AM

Mathematician here: 25 times 1 percent is not the same as 25 percent. It is roughly 23 percent.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/22 10:41 AM

What you wrote is not my experience. I am a 38 years old guy. All my friends are married or in long term relationships. Most of them are average people. None of them do all she wants. They are just ordinary couples. Ordinary families.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/22 12:37 PM
-5

I don't get this. I know so many extremely average men who are married. On what basis do you claim that the bar for them was high?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/22 08:55 AM

How do you know? Do you have any knowledge about her specifically?

It does make me more attractive to my wife, which is the only woman I care about being attractive to.

It helped me. I met my spouse through a mutual friend.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 09:32 PM

I highly doubt that. I know of zero people who have no friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 04:21 PM

As a man in a long term relationship, I also don't want to interact in person with strangers.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/22 03:56 PM

90 percent of women of child bearing age do not take them, so this comment is highly unlikely to be true.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/01/22 04:04 AM
2

"today" is meaningless. The statistics is about marrying at some point in their life.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/21 07:05 AM
3

Given that more than 90 percent of people marry, it doesn't sound true.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/21 06:22 AM

I have another theory. People today are maturing slower than past generations. In the past, an 18 year old was an adult. Now, for many people, they mature much more slowly (and it's a good thing! They are children for a longer time). As a result, they also have less sex in their twenties, because many of them are still essentially children in these ages. When they do eventually grow up, they do start to have sex in their thirties, in rates similar to previous generations.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/21 06:25 AM
2

Again, far from my experience. I cried many times in front of my girlfriend. She was consulting and loving.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/21 09:59 PM
5

That is completely different from my experience. It sounds more like a comics than reality. You see, in real life, when two people are living together, they become close. Me and my spouse are spending the majority of our non work waking hours together for almost 10 years. Do you really think that being so close doesn't come with sharing emotions?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/21 01:06 PM
3

No it doesn't. Many married men are open about their feelings with their wives.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/07/21 12:58 PM

Or you ex was simply an horrible person. I cried many times in front of my spouse. She just hugs me. Never stopped her of being attracted to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/21 12:24 PM

Many. Most of my friends have kids. Non of them is depressed.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/01/21 09:13 AM

That is just wrong. Despite the common reddit claim that everyone is depressed, we have good data that indicates that the majority of people are not depressed.

Imagine needing to imagine the ability to be invisible. Where are all these invisibles? I am a 35 year old guy. I know exactly one guy in my extended group of friends and acquaintances who was not in a serious relation in the past decade.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/20 12:31 PM
7

But this includes many guys who are 20. There is nothing unusual with being a virgin when you are 20. I am guessing that by 25 it is probably less than 10%.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/20 12:25 PM
2

No, not lots of guys wait almost half of their lives to lose there virginity. Very few guys do that. Even according to the data you provided.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/20 12:23 PM
-2

https://flowingdata.com/2017/11/01/who-is-married-by-now/ 20-29 is meaningless. The interesting question is how many 29 years old are virgin. I am betting that not many.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/20 12:14 PM

Since 97% of the population marry at some point, this comment doesn't seem to be connected with reality.

It is estimated that men are 10 times more likely to be pedophile than woman. So, the answer to your question is - no.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/19 09:33 AM

Nobody? At least 55 percent are not single according to this statistics. The majority are in long term relationships.
