SSDI statistics show that by age 60, 20% of the workforce qualifies for disability. In the past men didn't use the SSDI program, they had wives/children and would push through the disability to provide for their families (yes the really bad ones would use it). Say 0-10 scale with 0 being cutting your finger nails and 10 brain surgery, a vasectomy is probably a 3-4 and tubal ligation 7-8.
