You can keep saying it, but you’re still wrong. Bail reform changed a lot as far as affordability, but it also gave judges a lot more discretion on the question of who to grant bail options to. The “danger to society” question is now up to the judge, not just the definition of the charge. I work in a courthouse in an urban area of a fairly liberal state. Three bail bondsmen (that I know of) have closed up shop since 2017 because almost no one even gets bail options anymore.
