Drone pilots have very few paths for achievement in the military. Airforce pilots are already considered pussies by the other branches, those who fly drones have it worse. There is no valor in being a drone pilot, only long hours in uncomfortable conditions. If you fill that role with women, how long until people start complaining that they arent getting promoted because of their gender.

There is a reason why we still have infantry in afghanistan. Drones are not perfect. They do not adapt as well as trained human beings, they don't interact as well as human beings. Drones are a long way off from replacing infantry in warfare, that is why more drones are being designed to augment a human infantry force, rather than replace it.
