The better question, though, is why are you doing this? What do you hope to accomplish with this information? I’m guessing it’d be nice to confirm that your husband is actually the father, but what do you do if you find out he’s not? Be careful... This was the craziest comment to me. I feel for the husband in this situation. I don’t know what I would do if this happened to me. I’m engaged and I love my fiancée, but I think I’m just going to discreetly get a PT done when we have kids.

I’m keeping this intentionally very short. I (40F) have a 2 yo kid potentially from either my husband of 4 years, or from a ONS. NC with the ONS partner. Has anyone had personal experience with DNA testing from alternative sample collection methods? ie Not cheek swab, but hair samples, fingernail clippings, swabs with earwax etc. Any tips, DNA testing company recommendations etc. I’m in NJ if it matters at all.
