It happens even within close relatives. My mother always complained on how much her mother preferred sons over daughters. You are totally right about women, specially in third world countries. I am from Colombia and most women are the same. They know the country has little to offer to them and they still allow to get themselves pregnant and bring to this world children without a responsible father in an irresponsible poor and corrupted country. Women do not seem to give a shot about the human condition. Abortions and the large number of poor women who become single mothers says a lot about them.
