but my impression is most EE are quite poor and not as educated in a positive sense. Some have to do with post-Soviet aftermath. That sums it up quite decent.

You have a handful of women in multi national corporation who started to say that the reason they don't advance or get payed more is because they are women in a men's world. That's about it regarding feminism. It's a very small niche. About women from EE... it's complicated. You have to understand things like demographics, socioeconomic situation, etc. For example the average income is about 8k per year. And most of the population (90%) lives in rural areas and is well below the average. Just li…

That is what "they" want you to believe. The political identity that got marketed to you succesfuly. A whole bunch of buzzwords that mean nothing. We know what hurts society and it's not some philosphical views on the world. It's simple crime and imoral behaviour.

Same as toxic femininity. Or rather neither male nor female. Just toxicity. Antisocial behaviour. We know what that is because we mostly have a criminal code against it. Violence, theft, dishonesty, etc.

To try to frame the problem in a practical, apolitical way. Wrong is what does wrong, not what sounds wrong. I think people tend to forget that.

Toxic masculinity is a byproduct of other problems. Toxic feminism is bit different, it is a political stance, an intentional facade to hidden interests: money, fame, etc. Toxic femininity is the same with toxic masculinity. They can differ in form a little because the means to detriment the society for your own immediate gain differ for men and women. But it's just antisocial behaviour. Violence, lies, theft, etc. What difference does it make that a male might shoplift by running fast out of th…

Toxic femininity differs on absolutely now way from toxic masculinity. I framed the title in the spirit of reddit political discussions. In reality there is only toxicity and it's the same for men and women. It is all antisocial behaviour (whether it's violence, dishonesty, theft, etc.) Toxic feminism is just a form that antisocial behaviour takes in certain women and surprize: .... men. Just a political marketed image projected to hide the true person.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/17 09:35 PM

It doesn't. We have a lot of more serious problems to be honest, and a lot of them are the source of the "toxic masculinity". It's a poor educational system, corruption everywhere, every man for himself kind of mentality. Which is a lot more brutal for poor uneducated men in a huge "bad neighbourhood" of a country.

I'm going to say it depends on what you want to. And how you want to do it. There's time and a way to do this, and there are certainly many more wrong ones. You can take it to the stupid extremes and observe this: "Hi girl who packs my groceries, I'm having sex with lots of prostitutes". Or the other one: don't tell your wife with which you have 2 kids and want the 3rd with but you just passed her a nasty std which might affect the pregnancy. Do yeah, the answer as in all in life is "it depends"…

You never hear a woman say, "I want a man who doesn't take me seriously when I'm retarded, and will dominate and fuck me senseless" Again with the TRP "all", "never", "always" bullshit. Most women I've bee sexually involved with in the last 10 years of my life have openly stated more or less exactly that.

We can apply economic reasoning to anything we want. Of course you can, but that doesn't mean it will result in anything useful. Otherwise please find the cure to cancer applying economic reasoning. economics is very good at describing how large groups of individuals make decisions Is it? I thought that was group dynamics. I beg to differ. You are oversimplifying the notion of market for no reason. The value of something can be relative to the values of other things with no need for a market to exist. If your parents never show pride in you ever you are going to value it more than if you're used to it. Does that mean there's a market for parents - children relationships? Demand and supply, or what OP understand by them, can be used to describe the above example just as well. Again, is that proof that a market exis…

If SMV is just another way of saying "be attractive, don't be unattractive" what's the point of having a fancy term like that? And what are we debating? That attractiveness exists? That you can be more or less attracive? What's the "market" in the name for? Why not simply SV?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/14 08:41 PM

if I gain 100 pounds of fat, I will be attractive to less women, and have a lower SMV You are yet to prove SMV is a thing, you can't use it in statement like this, that's circular reasoning. Even more importantly you haven't even defined what SMV is. How can we debate if it exists or not?

For one thing analogies are explanation helpers. Analogies can't be arguments in a debate. A lot of people seem to get this wrong. Another thing about analogies, they are useful when explaining to somebody a unknown concept with the help of another concept he understands good enough. But markets are a very complex concept and it's pretty clear you don't understand good enough what demand is and how markets work. For example a lot of people drooling over Ferrari cars is not demand because they ca…

the universe told me that women have the right to have as much of a sexual history as they want and that I have no right to impose my values on women when searching for a partner Which part of "First I want to say that I judge TRP not from a moral point of view, I don't care about political correctness, feminism, social justice, etc. I think TRP is wrong in the context of their own success criteria, being successful with women, having a good love and sex life, etc." wasn't clear?

I think I already talked about all this in OP. Even if you had an exact formula like "chance of success = 100 - (partner count) x factor" you don't really know the partner count. Think she's gonna tell a judgmental guy the real number? In the mean time there is a huge number of factors determining chance of LTR success. And some of those factors are directly observable in the course of the interaction between you two. You just have to keep your eyes opened and your mind free of prejudice. That i…

Except that by virtue of a domestic arrangement Who said anything about a domestic arrangement? Not wanting to live with another man's kid a direct preference, ofc you shouldn't live with a single mom and her kid if you don't want to. That's not an indirect selection based on assumptions. she doesn't need to empirically establish through peer review that all RP men hate women to be entitled to her mate preference. I specifically said in the OP that this is not about morals, PC, etc. This is abou…

I would absolutely date a single mom if her goal was not to have a LTR Excelent then. That's what I said. Use a direct criteria to filter women. You don't want do anything with another man's kid. Single mothers tried to impose their kids on you. You refused. You used a direct filter. That's not the indirection I wrote against in the OP.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/14 03:33 PM
3

If I want kids/marriage and I don't want to raise someone elses child, why would I ever consider the single mother? In that case you shouldn't consider her. That is a direct "want" from you. I was talking about indirect assessment in the OP.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/14 02:47 PM
2

For instance, a man might not want to date a single mother not because she has a finite amount of attention, but because the man may not want to spend his resources on a child that's not his Except I said "try to shove the kid down your throat or that she won't have enough attention". I did address that. Simply don't spend any resource on the kid if you don't want to, be it time, money, whatever. Simple. Not only is it irrelevant whether or not any given proxy is supported by peer review, this i…

If you have so many prospects you don't even have a little time to spend with them to see how they actually are vs. how they are likely to be based on some theories then yeah, I guess some sort of preselection must be applied. There's a joke about a HR manager randomly throwing half of the CVs he received for a position in the trash before looking at them saying "I don't want unlucky employees". It's a question that stirs useless controversy and reveals nothing useful about the beliefs of those who respond. The end of my response was a joke of course, but the question is still very bad. For example I truly believe that on average right now men are still superior to women, even though it's a lot closer that it used to be historically. And this response tells you nothing about me. Yes. And I'm not even red pill. But there are no good answers to bad questions. And this is a terrible question. Firstly because in the context of the sub we are talking about dating and relationships and that's mostly one specific man to one specific woman. didn't almost everyone disagree with that? It was heavily downvoted It was. That's why I said in OP "This stuff is quite often downvoted even in TRP". I don't have link nor do I want to waste time googling. Anyway, that's not the point of this sub, I wasn't criticizing TRP, I just gave examples of several things people think of TRP and TBP when they talk about it.

this reflects a common tendency among blue pillers in this sub, namely, that they are quick to link any and every social problem to the actions of men You comment not on what has been written but on your interpretation of that. As you can see here you interpreted wrong. And that happens a lot because of your frame of mind. BP doesn't contrast TRP by blaming men. BP blames blaming a whole gender.

I agree. I'll even go as far as to say that other extreme (feminists, sjw, PC, etc) has produced even more terrible pseudo scientific material and interprets it horribly too. Because of course any political agenda, regardless of color, is simply incompatible with real science. Social studies, psychology, etc are very far from hard sciences at this stage. If you average it out it comes to 2-3 new sexual partners per year. That is quite far from a pick up god. I know guys who have 2 new sexual partners per month constantly since they started their sexual life. Now those are natural pick up artists. I first took an interest in TRP because of the things you mentioned. Yes, there are a number of positive discrimination practices present in western societies. Yes, politically correctness is taken too far in some examples. People started equating equal opportunity to equal results. And some people who exploit the system being professional victims. First off, 80% of men are not weird with women, nor bitter/mad from female interactions. Most men are naturals, weird men are a minority by definition. Secondly the same lessons apply, some just learn them with little to no effort, "naturally", and some need to invest more in this learning. If what naturals do works the hard learners must do the same things.

Reading comprehension? The TRP guy said not women asking for human treatment deserves it. I gave examples where asking for human treatment is really asking for human treatment and not free drinks at the bar. Not everything revolves around you not getting pussy you know. Your post is what TRP should be. But the existence of this topic plus a look at TRP's front page makes it obvious that TRP doesn't see women as "other people in general" nor is the focus on one's self. If you ask me it means stop making oversimplified models of women. It's not a problem of morality. But if you don't acknowledge women as complex (as complex as you) beings you are going to limit severely the possible interactions with them. Which leads back to the initial problem of trp men having problem interacting with women. Self fulfilling prophecy and limiting beliefs. You mostly hurt yourself. I think the article that I quoted above said it best. My opinion is of little value. If you want to hear it anyway: I think high partner count and length of relationships are related in a lot of cases. Somebody with options and that has tasted multiple dishes is less likely to stay in a LTR regardless of how it works. And this is where we gonna have a debate on what success in a LTR means. Dragging the thing till death do us apart while there are better options is no success to me.

It does makes sense if you consider my practices as being the absence of a strict belief that relationships should all be exclusive. I don't believe they should all be poly. I don't advocate for poly or anything, I just think it should be an option and people should do what they feel like doing in each case. For example my current relationship is not yet open (it's 3 months old) and for the moment I don't feel the need to do so.

Nobody asked for any scale, just for it to be a legal option. Not that I know any statistical data but it does seem that most people would still be in monogamous relationships.

Why aren't we thinking more about this, don't we hate to hear the complaints of sexless guys? And this is where we get to my problem with reactionary sexless men that go TRP or whatever of the sorts. They are sexless because of flawed thought process. I wanna hear none of that SMV, be attractive, don't be unattractive, etc. I know ugly and poor charismatic guys who have loads of sex. Anyway, back to it. Their thought process somehow ended up fucked up. I would like to help them get some bearings…

No I haven't. That is a one sided recounted example of a polyamory marriage that went numb. There are numerous monoamory marries that also go numb. And supposedly women are hypergamous anyway so they'll go after alpha regardless of polyamory or monogamy. What's the difference if they do it while in marriage or with after a divorce?

You get to know each other a lot better sexually and otherwise, split the house chores and expenses, take care of each other when sick or other kind of needs, etc. Regarding fun... I don't know. You're not married, so what really do you have to lose if a polyamorous relationship goes south? Not a whole lot. You chose the combination of marriage and open relationship, which is the most complicated imho. If marriage is your thing why not talk about polygamy? You have to be able to discern between different things you hear from you parents, your TV, etc, even as a teenager. It's one thing to listen to the news, it's another to believe in romantic comedies. It's one thing to listen to your parents about building an education for example, but dating advice from your church going mother is gonna work just as much as taking advice from self entitled alpha internet pua gurus.

I did not insult him. It's just that none of my peers growing up ever took his parents seriously about teenager things. The generation gap thing, come on, how is that an insult? I also did not say that he deserved everything he got, I don't even know if he got anything. It's just that following your mother's advice in trying to relate to teenager girls is a quite sure way to fail at it. Are you some sort of nihilist or existentialist where you can't even ascribe survival as some sort of purpose? No. Of course it's a purpose and I have it as my purpose very much. It's just not logical. It's philosophical. And the difference is significant, I'm not just arguing semantics here. It's what I want, what I like, but it doesn't follow anything, let alone logically.

So logically, if I want to survive I must stay healthy. If I want to have progeny, I must have sex. One more try. "if I want to survive I must stay healthy" - logical. "I want to survive" - not logical. The goal is not logical, can't be.

The difference between (want, like, need) and (logical) is what my post is about. "I want to live a good life" is a statement. It may be a true one, but there's nothing about logic in there. It's purely philosophical. A logical reasoning is "all C are B, all b are A, therefore all C are A". Because of TRP's "biological realities" if women can't learn to wet their panties on beta bux then you can't learn to be an alpha either. Do you mean the ridiculous "half your age plus seven" or any other childish stuff like that? My point is that there shouldn't be any rule. Why not just accept that you are getting an awfully good deal relationship-wise, and that with the good comes the bad-- some people won't like it. Because it's not about me god dammit. And it's not about setting the worl…

Why the insistence on teenagers? Who insisted on teenagers? The post you just replied to stated that one should ignore age and simply be with whoever he is happy. I get that teenagers could be married to older men back in the day...but you get that that's a creepy argument, right? Not only did I not make that argument, but what's with the "creepy" being pulled over and over again? Do you think you will shame me by calling me names?

Change to 18th century context: "Yes, I control all my wife's finances and I can beat her if she disobeys me. But I am a noble, kind man and I would never take advantage of that situation because I don't want to." Why oh why do we have to go to stupid analogies? Talk about playing dumb. The law in my country says the legal age of consent is 15. My girlfriend is 18. She is fully functional. This has nothing to do with having sex with children or disabled persons. Of course she is not fully matured. But what age is? At 30 I was a different person, at 25 even more so, etc. At 45 I'm gonna think this age is different and so on. Let's not have sex before 60, yes? The law is the law. On one of them I simply stood up after 15 minutes, apologized and left. What conclusion did I draw? That it's unlikely I could have a relationship with a big age gap. And th…

The bastion of logic and reason that is TRP somehow fails to understand that success is purely a subjective thing. There is no common success criteria defined in TRP. As many other red pillers you seem to fall for the false dichotomy. Dating isn't either red pill or blue pill, there are an seemingly infinite number of approaches as are general philosophies. Also, to judge a success rate you must first agree on success criteria. Not even in my limited circle of close friends have I met two people who could agree on the same set of said criteria.

If I could take the brain of a 40 year old woman and put it in the body of a 18 year old girl... Then again I would like my current brain in my 18 year old body. In reality it's always a trade-off. The label of "feminist" should be dropped by anybody other than extremists. Current laws in developed countries forbid discrimination based on sex, religion, political views, sexual orientation, race, etc. So if equality is what you want you can call yourself a human rights activist or simply a law abiding and supporting citizen. "Feminist" made sense when the law was wrong, now it suggests you want more than equality. And many women who call themselves feminists admit openly to wanting so.

You have to go all the way with the first and only one. Nobody gets anything right the fist time. Trial and error is the natural way we get good at things. But "traditional" values make errors into tragedies and they shame you for failing.

How is this different from your last thread? I hate playing internet Freud, but you seen to have some issues with trust and intimacy. What does a man have to offer to a woman? Nothing if you want to see things that way. But if you do, life in general has nothing to offer to you.

A lot of people do nothing with their lives. No nice job, no hobbies, not taking care of their health, no social projects, no nothing. Some of those people are lucky early on if they hit the genetic lottery and such have sexual attraction going for them. When the 30s hit and the fast food, drinking, smoking, no sleep, sedentary life style, etc, take their tole - they have nothing left and have a very hard time attracting partners compared to before. What I'm trying to say is it depends on circumstances more than the type of person you are. I can't describe in full detail the context and full length of those relationships. It wasn't all treating them like shit of course. I'm talking about roles to make communication easier. Not one of us fits tightly into any specification of course. We're a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Choosing to identify as something, be it woman, man or agender is pretty useless imho. It's your actions that define you, not what you think of yourself or what you'd like to identify with. And today we have it easier then ever in the western world to choose what we'd like to do, regardless of sex. And how the rest of humanity cho…

Thing is, there's no real closed and open relationships. It's not black and white. Everybody would pick one or another depending on circumstances. The analogy doesn't stand at all. Not returning a bag of money makes a victim out the one who lost it. Staying in relationship with somebody who is polyamorous doesn't hurt anybody else. I could start explaining that it doesn't even hurt yourself but again, this is not the place to start that debate. Also, sticking to what you have decided a long time ago with little to no data on the current situation is not something necessarily good. Preconceived ideas don't equal self respect or principles.

it's less about "who wins" the ultimate mating contests "The selfish gene" and all the other sexual theories I know of seem to indicate that winning is the ultimate goal. I chose intelligence because it is one quality that civilizations are highly dependant on to solve their problems - I don't think that's really disputable. In the absence of real current mating competition based on intelligence (your example) you don't really know where you stand, how successful you would be, if others wouldn't find a way to fake it, etc. I know several cases where the late pack runners change the rules of the game only to find themselves last again with the new rules, because the top does what it takes to win no matter the details. Of course different women have different ways of having sex. Some women are shy till turned on enough And this is where the idea of enthusiastic consent goes complicated. By the black and white picture many are trying to paint in here (you included) those shy women would never have sex because no positive feedback, no going forward. All of those require an initial assumption (that our senses are accurate) Yes. There is no proof nor will ever be that we're not living in a completely imaginary world. Solipsism in unfalsifiable. We alter machines to get answers that we want, that conform. Stop. No. Science doesn't pursue confirmations of beliefs.

We're talking about social and political belief systems here. I already said that science is completely different. Yeah, as far as science goes, not having the resources or the knowledge to find my own answers I have no better choice in my opinion then to take what we know now as true. We're obviously far from having a perfect model of the world but it has certainly gotten us results. I fly in airplanes and talk on computers that are based on that knowledge even if I myself can't really question…

You compare them to what your senses register in multiple points in time and in different circumstances. Hallucinations don't last forever nor are they triggered by everything. You compare them to other people's senses. You build machines that have those senses and see what they register. You can also study those senses to find their limitations. And so on. Are you forwarding solipsism? I don't really understand where you're going with this.

Why do you think this is news to me? And I said I agree more, not that I adhere completely to either philosophy. Also, having an instrument that errs doesn't mean having no instrument is better. You keep the fact that it's not perfect in mind, you measure multiple times with multiple instruments and get the best result you can at that time with those resources. And that got us tangible results - electronics, airplanes, medical care, etc. What has metaphysics got us by contrast? Solipsism? I exag…

You're right. I don't have clear definition of what I mean. But I know I don't subscribe to any of the examples you've given regarding social or political issues. Science models and theories I think are a whole different beast. I'm no philosopher, I haven't even read philosophy aside from some wikipedia articles. I think you ask too much of me to come up with a serious theory. It was just a post saying I don't agree with any of the groups like TRP, TBP, feminism, social justice warriors, liberal…

I edited it at the request of a mod, it was quite melodramatic... Do either of these sound appealing to you? From glancing over wikipedia I think I agree more with Hume. This passage turns me off about Descartes : "The mind (or soul), on the other hand, was described as a nonmaterial and does not follow the laws of nature." Also: "For Descartes, ethics was a science, the highest and most perfect of them. Like the rest of the sciences, ethics had its roots in metaphysics". On the other hand "Empi…

It was specified in the the OP what exactly I mean here by a belief system, to keep it short here basically dogmas. Not a system for building beliefs. As for the latter question, not exactly prodly I must admit I haven't actually trully read any philosophers beyond a couple wikipedia pages. Feel free to consider this conversion not worth having with me.

Huh? My point was that I don't see philosophy as a belief system. It's not something you have to believe in blindly. On the contrary, it encourages questioning.

I'm not familiar with Hume. But philosophy seems to me a quest for knowledge, not beliefs and it isn't rigid, dogmatic.

In the context of this sub, AWALT is a belief system, or the "all nice guys are entitled and have hidden agendas". Both TRP and TBP seem to have a set of rigid rules you aren't allowed to question.

As I've said in the submission, "I only quoted it because I find it the most compact and well put form of the idea." Actually the guy who said it was some kind of guru fraud I couldn't agree less with. But he did have his way with words... Why do you think you've escaped bias? I don't think, I know for sure I haven't escaped biases. For example I catch myself every day judging people for the same mistakes I make. I don't even think it's possible to escape biases to a large degree. From what I un…

I don't see "standing on the shoulders of giants" as being a belief system. It's a way of collaborating in gathering knowledge. One person can't rediscover everything from the wheel to the atom by him self of course. But the things that really matter to you are worth investigating a little more than just trusting that AWALT.

You are right. I am wrong. Now if there's anything you'd like to talk on the topic I would be more than happy to do it any style you want. LE: I am really sorry if I sound melodramatic, angry, trollish or anything else. Please try to ignore my style, my personality and let's talk about the content of my text, the ideas, not their form.

Happiness is also within. No amount of women being submissive to you, no amount of white cis hetero man acknowledging their privilege, nice guys dropping their entitlement, red pillers renouncing misogyny or whatever will make you happy if you aren't right now.

A good rule for me is this: if I have negative emotions about a group (religious, political, etc) then I am wrong by default. There must something I don't know, understand, experienced myself. I am allowed to disagree of course, I am allowed to pursue what I feel like is right and try to enforce it. Just not be angry against the others, no hate or other such feelings.

When you are surrounded by people with whom you agree, you're beliefs are reinforced. An exercise I force myself to do lately is go out with people I don't agree with to do things I do not enjoy. I'm talking about benign things of course, but still things I would always look down to in my youth, find repulsive, stupid, uncomfortable & such. For me: sport bars, fancy dinners, clubs with music I don't like, modern art circles, etc. I always feel like an idiot afterwards for avoiding them.

Have you considered the possibility that I do not want to be welcome in any sub? I want to challenge beliefs, to debate systems. Acceptance in groups was a desire I stopped having in my early teens, 2 thirds of my life away from now. And the interpretation of a text is not that of the writer but that of the reader.

The guy you replied to already pointed out virgin shaming is the same push for confirming to expectations of how one's sex life should be. You're just too caught up in "patriarchy is to blame for everything" to read & understand before you reply.

Poverty and education are keystones. Exactly. And all the things you've discribed: promiscuity, poor birth control, buying status things (car, jewelry, phones) whey you are in fact poor, etc are to be found in poor and uneducated white people from over here. So no, they are not particular to black people or more specifically black women. your perspective as a European is off Nope, I know you culture pretty well, I said in the beginning that I understand the context. In europe such things might b…

Decent rant given that I understand the context. But it still is racist, still sexist, still deals with stereotypes and so on. I am from eastern europe: we don't have black folks over here but we certainly have a lot of low educated gold digger self entitled women who over all correspond to what is described in the video. So it's not just black women who "ain't shit" but think they are. And it ain't just women either. What about the "ghetto hustler trying to score a dollar", "money over bitches"…

Imo best thing to do is preserve the original title of the linked video/article/etc. Fairest to the content creator, best for indexing/searching and so on.
