Agreed. That four cords behind my garage just doesn't magically appear in October.

teachers are easily replaceable as well. English, history, foreign languages definitely. Even within the sciences biology is more replaceable (and noticeably more female) than chemistry/physics.

You have to applaud the ones that teach in the younger grades. There are too many little boys growing up without any male influence. Male teachers in the lower grades are worth their weight in gold if they are given the respect they deserve.

I've been teaching for close to fifteen years now and one thing I've learned is, when you want shit to get done at home - call/email Dad. If you want to listen to apologies, excuses, and hamstering about behavior - call/email Mom. Unfortunately, our computer system tells us when Dad is not allowed to be contacted or issues have to go through guidance/Mom first. Always a shit show dealing with those kids.

It's easy to see "progress" when you can stare at a couple hundred split pieces at the end of the day. A day at work doesn't give me that tangib…

Be responsible for contraception. Seems reasonable... As a gesture that redresses a minuscule amount of this disparity, heterosexual men should finance the whole cost of contraceptives. ...get fucking lost.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
