I mean, if some sexy dude did the same to a bunch of little girls you'd get the same types of comments, right? ...Right?

We are at a point, technologically, where we could eliminate discrimination from the hiring process. Interviewees could have their faces and voices filtered so that they always look like the same person to the interviewer. The interviewer would have no choice but to hire based on how the questions are answered instead of the potential hire's appearance. This will never be allowed, of course, as discrimination is essential for diversity.

I was permanently banned from a subreddit for positing this exact question. The post was about the gender wage gap. Most replies were affirming it unquestionably. I posted the question, received about 40 upvotes in fifteen minutes, and was promptly banned without warning.

An athlete's salary should depend on A) how much ability they contribute to the team, and B) how much money the team makes for the owner. But if that were the case, female athletes would earn considerably less than they currently do. On the other hand, I believe an organization should have the right to ban their employees from creating OF content.

Feminism is a word with many definitions. And I believe that most people who call themselves feminist, use the word as you seem to. It seems that you consider the word feminism to be synonymous with egalitarianism. In reality, this is not how everyone feels. It is not the way that many self-described feminists act. There are many who consider all (or most) men to be the enemy. Unfortunately, these two very different viewpoints use the same term to self identitify and so, unwittingly, ally themse…

Is AI gonna start collecting garbage, building roads, electrical infrastructure, running pipes and sewage systems? Is it gonna take over logistics, delivering the billions of things that are moved daily via trucks and trains and planes and ships? Is it gonna start repairing all of these same systems when they start breaking down? Is it gonna start generating power and cleaning water? Is it gonna fight crime, put out fires, and perform surgeries? Is AI going to sow fields, reap crops, rotate crop…

Look at electrical grids, water and sewage, communications, logistics, traffic management, law enforcement, fire protection, etc. Examine any of the systems the "the world" requires in order to "run." Who creates and maintains these systems? Are they groups of people with equal concentrations of male and female? Or is there one gender that dominates these fields, doing the bulk of the work for the benefit of all? If "girls" stepped up and started "running the world," then there would be nothing …

Weinstein used the potential careers of numerous women to coerce them into sex. That's what the investigation revealed. Not physical force, coercion. Coercion is the very thing that the majority of female rapists use to force their victims into submission. By failing to consider Weinstein's use of coercion to be rape, you are downplaying all other instances of coercion used to the same effect. Weinstein is a rapist, just as any person (male or female) who use coercion for sex is.

Any adult who indulges in sexual intercourse with a child, is a child rapist. Quite frankly, I don't know a single human being who would disagree with this. (see edit) But then again, I don't know any lawmakers. So, it doesn't matter how either of us feel. The law, wrong at it is, remains on the books. It won't be changed by pretending it doesn't exist. The word 'feminism' is very much like the word 'God'. Neither word has a single definition which all who use it agree upon. If you ask a random person to define one of these concepts, their idea will be different than someone from across the street or someone from across the sea. Sometimes vastly different. But still, people use these words to define themselves. And they blindly associate with others who use the same word to define themselves. But association is not synchronization. If feminist …

Personally, I feel that the second amendment was put into place to protect the US people from their own government. As such, the people should be allowed access to exactly the same equipment that is issued to the US military. Until this occurs, I agree, there are many unconstitutional gun laws on the books. No church will jeopardize their tax-exempt status by performing marriages without the state's approval. Churches have long preached generosity, while being some of the greediest organizations…

Your guns are either at the bottom of a lake or are illegal. If the authorities find out you have unregistered firearms they have the legal right to take them by force. A church can't give you a marriage certificate until the state issues you a marriage license. Your church will follow the rules even if you don't. Without a driver's license you can only drive on private roads with the permission of the property owner. If a government does maintenance on a road, then they require a licensed drive…

I've been playing Horizon: Forbidden West. Now, I knew when I got this game that it has a female protagonist. So, I expected it to be aimed more toward girls than boys. Some people are simply not worth engaging in conversation. You won't be able to help them, and they won't be able to help you. What did I get wrong? Was it the gender discrepancies in sentencing? Was it the Duluth model? Was it the definition of rape? When the term 'forced to penetrate' is included in rape statistics the numbers even out. when asked about experiences in the last 12 months, men reported being “made to penetrate”—either by physical force or due to intoxication—at virtually the same rates as women reported rape (both 1.1 percent in 2010, and 1.7 and 1.6 respectively in 2011). source Once you start looking,…

it's undeniable that a toxic male environment has caused more negative effects than that of a toxic female one. Absolutely unsubstantiated claim. Consider it denied. I can simply see that toxic male spaces cause issues for women and men much more than toxic female spaces cause issues for men and women. I see precisely the opposite. That is separatist terminology from a separatist movement. There are toxic men, there are toxic women. MGTOW was a relatively small collection of men talking about abandoning the idea of marriage. The reason the people were on that sub was because they'd had a lot of bad experiences with a small amount of bad women, and used that as a basis for all of them. But MGTOW was banned. Right now, saying don't get married (implying don't deal with woman) IS BANNED HATE SPEECH. While helping women to use men as cash cows acceptable, glorified, and promoted. Personally, I considered FDS and MGTOW to be on …

There's also the matter of evidence. The methods that men tend to use leave no evidence when they fail. Men tend to choose options like gunshot to the head, jumping off of a ledge, or hanging. When they fail, he uncocks the gun, he steps away from the ledge, or he unties the rope. No one, other than the man making the attempt has any idea that it happened. Meanwhile, women tend to choose methods that leave evidence. Women are more likely to cut themselves, which if not fatal will leave a scar. O…

Two students turn in an assignment, and both did 'B' quality work. A biased teacher gives one an 'A', while the other receives a 'C'. The student that received the 'C' is more likely to work harder on the next assignment, since their work is only average. The student who received the 'A' will not try to improve their work, as they are already performing optimally. Biased grading is unfair to both students.

The methods used are a significant factor. Women tend to go for methods like overdosing & wrist slitting. These are less deadly, but harder to hide when they fail. Men tend to take their own lives with heights and firearms. These methods are much less likely to fail. When they do fail, it is typically because the trigger was never pulled or that last step off the edge was never taken. In these instances there is no evidence. This is gonna' be an unpopular opinion around here, but I think a person should get a significantly reduced sentence when they plead guilty for an offence like false accusation. With a crime like this, much of the damage (though not all) can be undone with the admission of guilt. Unlike a crime like rape, where admitting guilt does nothing to repair the damage. This would encourage people to come clean after making a mistake instead of doubling down. On the other hand, if they plead innocent, bu…

The two 18-year-olds is not so much of a deal. She should lose her teaching license, of course, but I don't think there's need to be any criminal charges filed. She should, however, have to face charges for providing them alcohol, even if they didn't consume it. The 17-year-olds are a different story. She is educated. She knows what statutory rape is. She knew she was committing it, before, during, and after it happened. She should face two charges of premeditated statutory rape. And, obviously,…

Let's try to judge her by her intentions, please. She was trying to help her son. She had absolutely no reason to expect those security guards to behave so extremely. She didn't say "Hey, could you send security out to beat the ever-living shit out of my son?" I imagine she was expecting two security guards each holding one of her son's shoulders escorting him into the facility. The real problem is the people in positions of authority saying that security and police acted appropriately. Lorene S…

If a woman wants to be involved in a football conversation, why can't she just get into football? I've had coworkers get into lengthy conversations about purses. Conversations where I am in earshot the entire time, and have zero frame of reference with which to join in. I suppose I've answered my initial question with this example, since I have no desire to learn purses just to be involved in a bit of inane banter.

White males cannot experience oppression in the mind of someone who holds these beliefs. Therefore, a person can yell at, belittle, verbally and physically abuse this particular demographic, without ever feeling like they are, in fact, the oppressor. it's not worth committing rape because it's highly likely to ruin your life. Empathy in reality is an extremely rare motivator of decisions. What?! The reason I don't rape others is because it is a horrible thing to do to someone. I don't give two shits what the law says. Empathy is a major factor in every decision I make.
