No, pro-choice means that you can do whatever the hell you want with your body.

It was a self defense course. So how to defend against an attacker.

My school had a womens only self defense course. Someone complained. The next day there was a male equivalent

Dude, fuck arranged marriages. Everyone, man or woman, should have autonomy within their own lives.

Honestly? I don't agree with the "Buying is illegal but selling isn't" angle, but I think it's a good step. No one's being forced to buy sex, but there's certainly a lot of people who are being forced to sell it by circumstance. Either way, sex work should be decriminalized and regulated for buyers and sellers.

I'm not disagreeing. Personally I believe that the system should be completely reliant on popular vote. However, in the system we have, the best we can do is vote.
/r/MensRights15/11/16 04:14 AM

It doesn't, but it takes an extra half a second to hit the button on the voting machine and, if enough people actually do it, they could flip the state.
/r/MensRights15/11/16 04:06 AM
2

...because it takes minimal effort and if enough people do it you can change something?

Can I ask why you wouldn't vote for president? It's a button click and you're already in the booth. I speak as a democrat and it sounds like you're a republican, but you shoulda voted for president anyway.

Heavy, heavy overuse. People used it instead of confession bear. It was a small shitshow.

Both of em started it. Not alone, of course, but a lot of it came from them and ethical issues surrounding them.

To be fair, the movement kinda did. I would like to say, however, that it was not RECENT feminism that did it.

It's exactly the same as the southern strategy. Seriously, name some RECENT achievements.

It's not that we hate women, it's that we believe women get off easy in the justice system. Boom and boom

Equality doesn't always mean the same. I think that's the lesson here.

It is. We shouldn't remove it. It should stay because he deserves to have a voice. I think I'm just wording this poorly. :/
/r/MensRights10/03/15 07:34 PM

Exactly. I wasn't saying that the moderators should remove the hateful material. I was saying that /r/feminism will likely use it as proof that the MRM is intolerant (hint: It's not)
/r/MensRights10/03/15 07:21 PM

Unfortunately, this kind of hate just adds ammunition to feminists to hate us. Granted, it's unmerited, but they'll pull this out of the pile of shit as an "average MRA"

Just wondering, does anyone have a link to feminist theory? As much as I hear about it, I've never read it.

Some religious groups would be accommodated by this arrangement, which I personally have no problem with. I just have a problem with either side getting a raw deal.

It is BDSM, and a piss poor portrayal of BDSM.

Personally, I couldn't give a shit about FS if I tried. In fact, I believe that its portrayal of the subject matter is immature at best and dangerous at worst. However, I do believe that everyone has the right to see it if they so choose.

Fifty shades is a bad movie and book for many reasons: 1: it doesn't teach consent, it teaches abusive relationships 2: It heavily misrepresents BDSM and people are going to try this shit after seeing the movie 3: it's just poorly written.

I disagree that justice is sexism. Sexism is discrimination, not shifting for the need. What I think varies between our viewpoints is simply the definition of sexism.

Yes. Sexism is always a bad thing.

I don't believe there is anything wrong with not being a masculine man. I think there is something wrong with me not being allowed to be a masculine man

No. Fuck no. Women deserve every right of a man and vice versa. Nothing more, nothing less. That's the entire point of equality.

I believe that women do have a disadvantaged position in our society, and it needs to be fixed, but saying that men cannot be targets of sexism? That's where you step over the line.

Can we PLEASE stop sticking to words as if they're the things that make us? Seriously, no one should get the word. "Mens rights" and "feminism" should both die and get replaced with equality.

People get charged with sexting? It's wrong, but this isn't going to end well for him. He's going to be laid out as an example. There's really nothing that can be done. His fate is sealed.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
