I noticed that two of the fuckboy/avoidant/emotionally crippled men I tried to date both had the same red flag: they both mentioned they had difficult relationships with their mom and sisters. On further reflection, I think that was a sign. These are the women in their lives who they can't get rid of and those women don't like the way they act and treat others.

Yes, but I think a lot of women could fall into the trap of "well, we're investing in our future." In virtually all cases, the man promises the woman he'll pay for her when her time comes, or that she'll be able to stay home with the kids once he's got his degree. Those are lies! You're not investing in your future, you're investing in his!

You can smell the inadequacy on most of the men described in that thread. Every other story is a man feeling inadequate because his wife earned more than him, or his kids competed with him for her attention, or because he hit mid-life and either desperately started cheating or did other scummy stuff like blow all their money on toys.
