I think a key difference to note is that while breast cancer my be similar in efficacy there was much less consensus among physicians causing it to be much more controversial. The breast cancer screening also affects much younger people whereas the PSA is much older. When younger life is cut short it tends to be more of an issue than losing an older life.

The vast majority of physicians already agree with this. The media wants to play this up to be like the breast cancer screening changes while in reality the PSA testing is a very poor predictor of prostate cancer. There may be a bit of utility in monitoring baseline PSA and watching for a change, but even then the utility is modest. Lastly, the vast majority of men die with prostate cancer not from it because it is a disease of age. Up to 80% of 80 year olds have it with no symptoms and it is di…

I take vandalism very seriously...I'm a gear head and if anyone messes with my car I'd go apeshit. What we disagree on is the idea that there is a gender bias aspect to this issue. It's clearly unacceptable to do what she did and though some people support her vindictive act obviously its a marker of crazy and immaturity. At the same time, they are not supporting her because she is a woman but rather because she got revenge. I'm certain that if a guy did the same thing to a cheating girlfriend t…

We have to grow a thicker skin to this stuff because this stuff is human nature, male, female, or any ethnicity. Its our nature to be vindictive when we've been screwed over. Men's rights is about the health, legal and other institutionalized disparities that are sanctioned by our society. We shouldn't be bothered by all the trivial things that people say because then we sound like a bunch of whiny girls (GASP...pop culture must devalue women with this phrase right?). IF we focus on real issues …

If either sex behaves this way its not cute. This is not a RIGHTS issue, its petty crap.

How is this a "Mens Rights" issue? This is a crazy ex issue. If it was a guy or a girl its both crazy and hilarious. Come on r/mensrights, this is a hell of a petty article to get upset about. There are real issues like divorce law and custody cases that we could be focusing on and this is the best we can do?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
