| 1 | I am an FtM: Topics of interest?I planed on answering you later anyways. I just have stuff to do and really don't feel like spending the majority of my time on this account. This account is only for MR posting. I love my main and socializing too much to give it up. :) | /r/MensRights | 30/04/13 12:28 AM |
| 3 | I am an FtM: Topics of interest?I definitely have both good and bad stories of feminists to share. Not all feminists are bad, thankfully. As for MRthrowaway122? Yeah. That's the reaction I normally get from feminists. And women in general. And unlike their claim, I have no interest in having children and will be having surgery to remove my reproductive organs. Which I kind of hope they do, too. | /r/MensRights | 30/04/13 12:25 AM |
| 1 | I am an FtM: Topics of interest?I'm not sure if you realize that I haven't transitioned yet, despite my putting it in my post. If you realize it, then I don't know how to answer your question. Unless you're asking about how people treat me as male once they learn I'm trans. | /r/MensRights | 30/04/13 12:23 AM |
| 1 | I am an FtM: Topics of interest?Thank you. | /r/MensRights | 30/04/13 12:22 AM |
| 3 | I am an FtM: Topics of interest?I don't care how much you dislike a person's opinions, even if they're treating you like shit, never wish suicide on someone. It's just wrong. | /r/MensRights | 30/04/13 12:21 AM |
| 2 | I am an FtM: Topics of interest?Throw in a handful of "My son isn't gay! He's attracted to WOMEN" outbursts and I'd swear you were my mother in law. Hey MiL! You coming out for Thanksgiving this year? By the way, people like you just aren't worth the energy that stalking requires. Not even cyberstalking. So please stop flattering yourself. | /r/MensRights | 30/04/13 12:20 AM |
| 19 | Found this while in my reading class. Spent some class time debating it.The hybrid car owning, fart-sniffing kind of smugness, I'd imagine. | /r/MensRights | 29/04/13 07:35 AM |

| 1 | I am a Female to Male Transgendered person and I plan on transitioning to being physically male as soon as I'm reasonably able to. Is there a place for someone like me in /r/mensrights?I'm trying to find the articles that explain it. It was touched on in the article about the man who was born and developed as a woman without anyone ever realizing it. It's been a couple years since I read them and I'm having trouble finding the specific ones I want to link to. I'm also trying to catch up on responses to everyone, but it's getting harder to. | /r/MensRights | 29/04/13 06:43 AM |

| 1 | I am a Female to Male Transgendered person and I plan on transitioning to being physically male as soon as I'm reasonably able to. Is there a place for someone like me in /r/mensrights?Thank you grammar police. Considering the wide variations in terminology and the controversial beliefs about transgenderism [fuck you Ray Blanchard] I don't think transgender vs transgendered is the terminology that should be debated about. | /r/MensRights | 29/04/13 06:28 AM |
| 1 | I am a Female to Male Transgendered person and I plan on transitioning to being physically male as soon as I'm reasonably able to. Is there a place for someone like me in /r/mensrights?That book really doesn't get brought up in my interactions. It's a book I've been meaning to read, but I do know the story of it. I've heard a great deal of her experiences and when I was younger I saw a lot of interviews she did. | /r/MensRights | 29/04/13 06:16 AM |
| 2 | I am a Female to Male Transgendered person and I plan on transitioning to being physically male as soon as I'm reasonably able to. Is there a place for someone like me in /r/mensrights?I believe I already answered this question earlier? Someone else asked it, I think. The answer is yes, I would, if they didn't cling to the bitterness towards the rest of the world. I don't think I could handle a very intimate relationship with an FtM who is struggling as much as I am. I downward spiral off other people who are going through the same issues I am sometimes, and that's very unhealthy for me. I'm getting better about it, but I still have a lot of work to do. | /r/MensRights | 29/04/13 06:11 AM |
| 1 | I am a Female to Male Transgendered person and I plan on transitioning to being physically male as soon as I'm reasonably able to. Is there a place for someone like me in /r/mensrights?Because it's not a 'neutral' shape. There have been men who their bodies never made the transition in the womb. They only learned they were men upon having problems conceiving. Did they have menstrual cycles? I don't remember. And I'm having trouble finding the article I read about it. It's pretty rare, but it has happened on more than one occasion. | /r/MensRights | 29/04/13 06:06 AM |
| 1 | I am a Female to Male Transgendered person and I plan on transitioning to being physically male as soon as I'm reasonably able to. Is there a place for someone like me in /r/mensrights?Yeah. It's often used to test for endometriosis. I'm a high risk for it and it seems I have it. Which since I have no intention of having children, is a great thing for me. It means my health insurance will cover a hysterectomy. Still working towards getting the diagnosis. It'll take a couple more shots before we can move on to further testing to determine it. Most likely around my fourth shot they'll cut me open for exploratory surgery to see if there's any evidence of it in my body. Unless you… | /r/MensRights | 29/04/13 05:57 AM |
| 1 | I am a Female to Male Transgendered person and I plan on transitioning to being physically male as soon as I'm reasonably able to. Is there a place for someone like me in /r/mensrights?They don't just give you testosterone, no. Not when you're physically female. I also can't take testosterone yet until I figure out and fix my current heart issue. It's difficult to explain, so please don't ask me to right now. I don't want to talk about that in detail because it often triggers anxiety attacks for me. You're welcome for the binding info. | 1 | I am a Female to Male Transgendered person and I plan on transitioning to being physically male as soon as I'm reasonably able to. Is there a place for someone like me in /r/mensrights?Even more of a reason for me to move to Canada. More and more I find myself wanting to move there. But I'm torn, I also really want to move to Berlin because I'm a large chunk of German and that's the heritage I personally feel the closest to. Didn't Germany recently legalize gay marriage as well? I could've sworn I saw something in the news about that. Haha. Sorrry for getting a little off topic. | /r/MensRights | 29/04/13 05:39 AM |

Is there a place for someone like me in /r/mensrights?I both miss going to church and don't miss going to church. I'm a very spiritual person. I'm don't follow what most people consider conventional religions [including Pagan and Wicca because they're pretty popular as well] but I'm most certainly not an Atheist. But I just couldn't stand the bullshit. | 1 | I am a Female to Male Transgendered person and I plan on transitioning to being physically male as soon as I'm reasonably able to. Is there a place for someone like me in /r/mensrights?I have little interest in metallic testicular implants, quite honestly. Hopefully by the time it comes to that, there'll be a wider variety of materials available. | /r/MensRights | 29/04/13 05:01 AM |
| 1 | I am a Female to Male Transgendered person and I plan on transitioning to being physically male as soon as I'm reasonably able to. Is there a place for someone like me in /r/mensrights?See, I don't want balls of titanium. I'm more interested in something like a semi-hard silicone implant. I've found very little about such things for testicular implants, though. But they have them for fake abs? Bullshit. | /r/MensRights | 29/04/13 05:00 AM |

Is there a place for someone like me in /r/mensrights?I'm constantly pigeon-holed. | 1 | I am a Female to Male Transgendered person and I plan on transitioning to being physically male as soon as I'm reasonably able to. Is there a place for someone like me in /r/mensrights?That's exactly why the L comes first. It's like the L are the gatekeepers and if you aren't the kind of person they want you to be, then fuck you and fuck off. That's been almost all of my experiences with LGBT communities. And I've had quite a few. | /r/MensRights | 29/04/13 04:35 AM |

Is there a place for someone like me in /r/mensrights?Oh, I also meant to include in my reply that our cat is doing much better. The procedure the vet did yesterday was a success. The cat is super happy and is acting like a kitten [he's 14]. I'm working on writing up an AMA as we speak, though I've been very exhausted and most of the periods of time that I'm not replying in this thread is because I've fallen asleep. Is there a place for someone like me in /r/mensrights?As a followup, would you say that your experiences as a woman were common amongst women, or outlier results as a transitioning man? Many of the issues I've faced I believe are common among women. But a lot of those issues I believe have been created or exacerbated by women. I'm currently not transitioning. I have health problems that need to be sorted out before I can start. I also want to get quite a bit of therapy first before going through with it. I didn't meet my father until I was around eighteen. I was primarily raised by my mother's mother. She played the role of mother, father, grandmother, and grandfather. [My grandfather died when I was an infant.] My grandmother grew up during the great depression, in a fairly conservative family. She's been the most supportive of all of this, and has never tried to tell me I'm something I'm not. | 1 | I am a Female to Male Transgendered person and I plan on transitioning to being physically male as soon as I'm reasonably able to. Is there a place for someone like me in /r/mensrights?Most of my negative experiences with men haven't been specifically MRA related. Most have been with bigots, ultra-conservative bigots, and college boys who haven't yet realized how to treat people decently. [Don't get me wrong, I've had just as many awful experiences with college girls, but you asked about my experiences with men.] Female society had a lot of stuff going on. A lot of women seem entirely unaware of the true GIRL POWER agenda. Misinformation leads to them supporting male oppressio… | /r/MensRights | 28/04/13 10:51 PM |
| 2 | I am a Female to Male Transgendered person and I plan on transitioning to being physically male as soon as I'm reasonably able to. Is there a place for someone like me in /r/mensrights?Acceptance is easier to find on the internet, but a lot harder to find in real life. And some of the most accepting people on the internet can turn out to be the biggest bigots in real life. I don't get that. Thank you for your supportive words! I hope to help MRA at least a little. Of course, my experiences are my own. MMV. But I've seen a lot of crap from both sides of the gender gap. | /r/MensRights | 28/04/13 10:27 PM |

| 1 | I am a Female to Male Transgendered person and I plan on transitioning to being physically male as soon as I'm reasonably able to. Is there a place for someone like me in /r/mensrights?I'm very surprised with the overwhelming acceptance I've received here. | 0 | I am a Female to Male Transgendered person and I plan on transitioning to being physically male as soon as I'm reasonably able to. Is there a place for someone like me in /r/mensrights?The other FtMs I've spoken with have said they considered giving up trying to assert their identity. That they almost surrendered to the extremist feminist movement to try to be treated better because obviously they weren't allowed to be men. I've heard from FtMs and MtFs alike that FtMs tend to have a much higher suicide rate, though I haven't known enough to know if that's true, and I don't think any statistics on that would be reliable because of how many FtMs are only out to a couple of peop… | /r/MensRights | 28/04/13 10:13 PM |

| 1 | I am a Female to Male Transgendered person and I plan on transitioning to being physically male as soon as I'm reasonably able to. Is there a place for someone like me in /r/mensrights?Like most people I have the potential to be an asshole, but overall I'm usually a pretty decent guy. I'm usually only a real asshole in retaliation after reasoning fails and walking away is hard [like when they continue to pursue you and just won't leave you alone]. | /r/MensRights | 28/04/13 09:57 PM |
| 1 | I am a Female to Male Transgendered person and I plan on transitioning to being physically male as soon as I'm reasonably able to. Is there a place for someone like me in /r/mensrights?I think it's equally difficult for both FtM and MtF, but they're different difficulties. I've had terrible experiences with female society as an FtM, and after transitioning, I won't be expected to live up to the standards they place on each other. However, I'll be fully entering the struggles that men face. Though I'll be glad to step mostly out of the awkward and often incredibly painful struggle of being a trans. Is there a place for someone like me in /r/mensrights?One of my cats had his number mixed up with a dog. That's okay, though. I love my dog-like cat anyways. Though using dogs and cats in that reminds me of a movement I witnessed some extreme furries try to kick off when I was a young teen. They wanted to be respected as "trans-species". They got the idea after I finally told them I was transgendered. I'm fairly certain it was done just to mock me. | /r/MensRights | 28/04/13 08:30 PM |

I'm already aware of the stupidity of those laws, it's been in the news on more than one occasion since I moved here. I wasn't aware of any specific case names, however. Is there a place for someone like me in /r/mensrights?Is there anything on the female side that compares to that? Having that overreaching, semi-permanent, unnatural fear instilled into you from a tender age that your actions and reactions can ungender you? Yes. There absolutely is, but it's more subtle in female culture. It's more manipulative. And it's very cruel. Many women are very hypocritical. Is there a place for someone like me in /r/mensrights?Haha, I've been told that by a lot of guys when they find out I'm transgendered. Other FtMs that have fully transitioned recommend not going much larger than my clit will become on testosterone. To stay on testosterone for longer than 'average' and wait for my body to really take on its shape as a man and to stay like that for a while before having surgery. Is there a place for someone like me in /r/mensrights?Because I've never identified as female. I don't really consider it changing from a woman to a man. I see it as becoming what I am. Like a late, second puberty that will make all the difference. That's what many transitioned trans have told me what it's like, too. Like going through puberty again. I feels like I was born with a horrible deformity and that I can't feel like a whole person until I correct that. [Feminists like to go "That's not transgenderism! That's male oppression!" It's not.] | /r/MensRights | 28/04/13 03:35 PM |

Is there a place for someone like me in /r/mensrights?I haven't read Self Made Man but I've heard much of her experiences by watching her interviews and I think a documentary about it. I keep meaning to read that book. While in a previous comment response I ranted about the sexism and trans and homophobia I experience from both sides, I realize now I neglected to mention that I do realize what's expected of men and that it is definitely not sunshine and daisies and privilege. Is there a place for someone like me in /r/mensrights?It depends on where you live and whether those people know you're transgendered. All the ones I've spoken with so far seem to have the exact same experiences I have. All the bullshit from female culture to live up to GIRL POWER and bullshit standards. All the harassment for not fitting in. Then the extreme harassment from FemiNazis for trying to assert their gender identity as a male and trying to get respect. Is there a place for someone like me in /r/mensrights?Just make sure you respect them as the gender they identify as. People who blatantly ignore mental gender over physical gender can cause irreversible self-esteem and confidence issues in an already struggling transgendered person. However, I've always felt something extra that wasn't physically there. When seeing a [very very good] psychologist as an older teenager, I expressed this to him. He had a theory, and consulted several physician colleagues of his, but wouldn't tell me what it was until he had several professional opinions on the matter. His theory was that with some transgendered people, there exists a type of 'phantom limb syndrome' much like that of amputees. What I experience is along those lines. Is there a place for someone like me in /r/mensrights?You'll forgive me for even having to ask, but when you say you identify as homosexual, do you mean you are a FtM attracted to men, or a FtM who is attracted to women? I just ask because I don't know how comfortable you are - how far down self-exploration road you've gone - and if there's cognitive dissonance between your gender identity and your sexual identity, I'd rather nip it in the bud here. Is there a place for someone like me in /r/mensrights?Considering the fact that I don't really have any desire to 'hook up' with anyone and have been in a stable relationship for nearly a decade with the same man, that's not really a concern of mine. I'm also not the type that just hooks up. Unless I have some sort of emotional attachment to someone, I may find them attractive, but I don't become aroused. | /r/MensRights | 28/04/13 08:17 AM |

Is there a place for someone like me in /r/mensrights?The only really stressful part about it is trying to get people to understand that sexual identity doesn't always comply with your physical gender.
