I did. I stayed in the home. 60 days to divorce. She said that she wanted to get divorced as soon as possible, She got married 2 months after the divorce to AP; then 5 years later she was divorced again. It started off 50/50 with the 3 kids, and ended with her seeing them once every other weekend. I am doing great financially. Last week she asked for a loan to fix her car. I ignored the request.

Started off as 50/50 and for the last 6 years, she gets them every other weekend.

Hi there, it's me. After 16.5 years of marriage and 3 kids, 60 days to divorce and 2 months after that, she remarried. She then divorced that guy within 5 years and 2 more kids. Her life sucks and mine is awesome.

the one who controls where the kids go to school This is so true. That is why I got this. Since she doesn't want to drive back and forth to the school, she leaves them here with me. We have 50/50, but because of this, she only gets them every other weekend. I also have the drop off/ pick up at my residence. It forces her to drive way more.

Married almost 17 years, divorced 8 years ago. She cheated multiple times, so I bottled everything up and let it out on the way home after work...everyday. After I divorced, I felt a weight off of me. I was emotional available again. I learned of my shortcomings and corrected them.

I stayed way to long for the kids. Pride kept me there. I just could not get over the cheating, but I didn't want to feel like a loser. I would be so upset when driving home after work just thinking about what she did with these guys. I feel so much better without her. Mental Health improved so much. The kids now see how each parent navigates life. I believe my kids are better off that we divorced. Not saying to divorce but just saying what helped me. I hope you find your peace as I did. Good lu…

My Ex was doing the same thing. Going out on dates, coming home 3-5 am. It was messing with my mental health. We were also renting at the time. I spoke to my lawyer and he said that I could ask her to move out. I spoke to her and told her it would be best for her to move. I said that if she didn't move, I would move. She wouldn't be able to pay the rent and would have to move out anyway, I could pay to stay. I would think she wants the kids to be in a stable home. She agreed and left. She asked …

If the lawyer is any good, they will know what judge they will go before. My lawyer picked the judge and picked questions that my lawyer would ask me before the judge. The judge listened and signed it.

The divorce was almost 8 years ago. I have accomplished much since. I was holding myself back while married to her. Now I am with someone much better. My life has been awesome. Her life however has been rough. She got 2 more kids and another divorce. She did not make the same mistake and is getting child support from him; but she is still struggling though.

She is definitely seeing someone else. When my ex said she wanted a divorce, she told me to get it done fast or she will ask for child support and alimony. I got it done in 2 months, the fastest allowable by law (Texas). 2 months after the divorce, she got married. Take the deal.

Good too hear a story like this. I too have grown and know what I wanted. I found someone that is perfect for me. After almost 8 years together, she has never changed. We had our own kids and jobs. I am right there with you. While she does make some money it is very little compared to me. I went from making 3 times to 10 times in the last 3 years. However in her defense; she got injured on the job and started over in another career because of said injury. It takes a while to build your business from scratch with no prior experience. Since I pay all the bills, I set the budget and she respects that. Don't hint at a divorce. Talk to her more and make her realize that you are not ok with the …

I got my girlfriend pregnant right out of high school. She cried when I told her I wanted to wait. I had a full scholarship to go to two colleges; one out of town and the other out of state. She kept at it and married her. I did not go to school. 6 months later my son was born. Divorced 16 years after that. Not sure about a Mediator, but my attorney put a "Morality Clause" in my divorce decree. He also said that it was not enforceable. Judge signed off on it. Happens all the time.

We had a 3 bedroom house. We let the kids have the master and we went to the other 2 rooms. That lasted about 3-4 weeks. I gave her a choice. Either she moves out or I do. If I did, she would not be able to pay for it, then they would be out of the house too. Either way she wouldn't be there. She left me and the kids there. Now she gets them every other weekend.

Morality Clause - The parents agree that no unrelated person of the opposite sex with whom the parent is involved in an intimate or dating relationship shall be in the presence of the children between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m., unless the parent has been in the relationship for at least eight months, is engaged to be married, or the other parent agrees in writing. Again, my lawyer said that this was not enforceable but she agreed. Edit: fixed spacing

I would agree but it should apply to her as well. That way you don't get into the details. I had a Morality Clause in mine because I knew she would bring different guys around our kids. Either one you can't really police/enforce.

My ex-wife hit me as well. I let her out of the car when I could. I just drove around and saw a police officer parked. He took pics of my face and in my mouth. It was maybe a week before the police arrested her at her job. Sometimes you got to do what you got to do.

Dude. My ex wife spent all the money. We lived paycheck to paycheck. I went from making. $8 per hr to over $30 and it made no difference. Once we divorced I had so much more money.

We married young, right out of high school. Before we divorced, we had a conversation where I asked what I did wrong. She answered honestly. Don't get me wrong, she cheated a lot while we were married. This was the reason for the divorce. However I know that I wasn't perfect and needed to know what I could improve on. I used that info to make me a better partner for my next relationship.
/r/Divorce_Men01/08/22 01:58 PM

This happened to me too. I noticed that my ex would still contact my family. We were married for 16 years. I told my family how I felt about it but left it up to them. I can only control myself. Now after 7 years divorce, contact is mostly just commenting on Facebook posts. They say it is to make sure she isn't bashing me. Which she does from time to time.

No child support or spousal support. She wanted the divorce over quickly so she could be with that guy. Texas has a 60 day waiting period. Judge granted the divorce on day 61.

Texas here. Had 7M and 12F at that time so close to their age. Got 50/50, called 5-2-2-5. She got Monday, Tuesday. I got Thursday, Friday. Every other week I had Friday, Saturday, Sunday. It worked out great.

Exactly! I did the same thing. Speed is the key. My ex also already had someone. I convinced her to move out. I kept almost everything. Also paid less then 5K on the lawyer. In Texas, there is a 60 day waiting period, divorce completed on day 61. Almost 17 years, 3 kids, no spousal support or child support. She currently has them every other weekend. This is a war now so don't concede.

Men really don't need much. I read somewhere that a guy can be content living in a cardboard box. But you need a better place to get a woman. Pretty funny. I had a whole bunch of money once the ex was gone. She was like a black hole. Money could not escape her grasp. Leave as soon as possible. Mental health is just as important as your financials. I felt so much better after she was gone.

Well I think you did all you can. Keep the returned mail and note any other efforts to reach the landlord. If they do come after you for any reason, you have your records.

When she told me that she cheated. I tried to stay for the kids. In my mind I could last 17 years. I really gave up in year 7 and completely resigned to this hell. I knew I didn't love her anymore but I was determined to see it through. She eventually got tired of it and asked for the divorce. At first I was upset but just did not have any more fight in me to save the marriage. It was now me against her and I fought that and won.

I was in the same boat. She wanted to continue to live together. After speaking to my lawyer I convinced her to move out. I told her that if she didn't move out then I would. My ex cheated a lot. She wanted me to cheat so we could "be even". I did not want to do that. Even now after being divorced for 7 years, just last week she brought up a name of a guy she cheated with in 2005 in a text message. Why did she bring this up? I don't care. That's the magic of divorce. I ignore it. You should forget about it and move on and stop cheating.

50/50, 3 kids, no child support, at the time made almost 3 times more than her. How did that happen? She agreed because the other guy wanted her to hurry the divorce so they can have sex. (How thoughtful of him and dumb of her) Edit: Forgot to say I am in Texas

I feel you. Looks like you don't have any kids with her so try to go as fast as you can so you can start to rebuild. My ex also told me she never loved me. Almost 17 years and never loved me? Ex just wasted both of lives. You are in a good position, don't waste it. Good luck.

Do they have physical evidence? My ex hit me while I was driving with our kids in the car. After I went to the police, they took pictures and it was out of my hands. They charged her and it stayed on her record since she didn't fight it. Fight it.

A co-worker introduced me a dating app in 2015. It didn't take me long to get dates with multiple women. After 2-3 weeks, I was tired of going out everyday. I picked one and we are still together. I would definitely say that you have a child. I wanted someone with a child and who didn't want to birth anymore. She was exactly that. Also don't be afraid to put some personality into your profile. Post action pics. I went skydiving so I posted a pic of that. Women love that stuff.

My wife at the time, always spent every dime I had. It didn't matter how much money I made, so I didn't have savings. I was lucky to have a sister that loaned me 5K. Only took me 2-3 months to pay her back since I didn't have someone spending all the money. Also the lawyer gave me back some money.

Get what you deserve. File for alimony. Being a stay at home parent is work regardless of gender. She may be starting to be nice so you won't ask for that. Also state you need child support, it is not automatic. Get a good lawyer because your kids are worth it.

One bedroom is totally fine. When I separated the first time, she called CPS. They came and I didn't have any furniture but a couple of blowup beds. CPS thought everything was fine and left. It is all about if the kids have food and shelter and are safe.

Comfortably miserable is exactly what is was. I am much better off without her. Almost 17 years married with 3 kids. No child support or alimony. 50/50 custody. I currently have them 85% because she moved out of the area. She is constantly trying to get me to let her have more time. She signed the same agreement I did. I based all my life choices on my kids. She did the opposite. It can be done.

I am already divorced. I have 3 kids and there were a few things I was looking for in a partner. They must have kids - Not that I need a mother for them, but I would like to know how they are as a parent since my youngest was 7 at the time. They do not want to birth anymore kids - I don't want anymore so I want someone on the same page. If they have kids already then they will likely not want (or need) kids with me. There were more but unrelated to kids. So I was not looking for someone that did…

I have already discussed this with my wife as this is both our second marriage. The only way I would be ok with it is if I had no memory of them. So if that was the case, likely the same choices would be made. So the only answer for me would be no.

Not sure why they would need your tax returns after you are divorced. Never had to produce mine.

I have 50/50 in Texas. Since December I have them 85% of the time. She moved out of the restricted area.

Hope everything went well. I had a great lawyer and he knew which judge to go before. I did not have to pay child support as agreed to by both of us. My kids are taken care of by both parents.

I feel you. I was getting tired of all the dates so I picked one. Glad I did, consistently out at 3am and back at work at 8am. Just couldn't take it.

I was 35 with 3 kids. I spent about 2-3 weeks on Plenty of Fish. I would not consider myself good looking. I am hoping I am average. Ladies that age are really eager so it wasn't hard getting dates. I just picked who I wanted to be with and believe I choose correctly. I married her in 2019 after 4 years together.

I ignored her email. She just dropped them off for my time during the holiday break. No drama. Thank you for your words.

I too got the 50/50 I wanted, with no alimony or child support. I kept my car. She too makes bad life choices and calls me the bad guy. I have a great life without her. Now since her move, she gets them every other weekend and a Wednesday dinner. When I bought my house I made sure I stayed the the Geographical Area. She just doesn't think things though. I never thought that she probably hates that I am living a great life. Thank you for your words.
