"Here’s why men should still pay for the first date"; TL;DR 'Because they're men'Well, I don't think it goes far enough. I think a man should be responsible to pay for an independent valuer to assess the relative strengths, potential risks and likely outcomes of the first date, after which either the man or the woman will need to pay an amount to the other (let's call it a commencement premiun) before the date commences. /s | /r/MensRights | 18/11/22 04:24 AM
I have a question I couldn't answer myself!I think its inevitable that when you make it easier for one target demographic to enter a field you end up diluting the talent pool. If I want a coder, I want someone who (at least once) ditched a beach holiday just so they could code uninterrupted for 48 hours straight. And if I want a nurse, I want someone who is passionate about that (I'm not, so I'm not even sure how to sell it!). What I don't want, is someone who had to be shoehorned in as part of a gender parity project. | /r/MensRights | 14/11/22 04:08 AM
"Why Smart Men Should Not Fear Gender Parity"; Article assumes Men fear equal payment of gendersLol - literally got of the phone 30 mins ago with a client who is making over $300K laying pipes and drains. He says most people don't want to do it because it's "shit work!". He certainly doesn't run into many women down there :) | /r/MensRights | 11/11/22 04:26 AM
The company I work for has put on some sessions for Men’s Health Awareness Month, one of which is titled “A Man’s Guide to Women’s Mental Health”Dr George Integrity Whitebread is right man for both of those sessions.... :) | /r/MensRights | 10/11/22 12:58 AM
r/menslib is a fucking hellscape. Sorry if i've miss flaired it , just dunno what it comes under.Interesting and astute comment. "Creating a space for something to happen" is an archetypical 'feminine' strength. Here its clearly used in a toxic way - a Lady Macbeth offer-hospitality-and-kill-the-king kind of way. | /r/MensRights | 10/11/22 12:40 AM
Does anyone else dislike the term “gas lighting”?This a really good, easy to understand, summary. | /r/MensRights | 06/11/22 11:11 PM
Zero empathy for lonely menShe's not your friend. As for Jordan Peterson, he is a great help and resource for young men who want to better themselves. | /r/MensRights | 03/11/22 06:44 AM
What should I do?lol - this is basically the narcissist mantra :) It didn't happen And if it did happen, it wasn't a big deal And if it was a big deal, it wasn't my fault And if it was my fault, you deserved it She has no self awareness and you won't change anything she thinks. | /r/MensRights | 03/11/22 03:33 AM
Men killed - Women most affected 🤡Yeah cos' men get to go an extended wilderness adventure and hang out with their buddies!!! It's a very disingenuous, divisive and downright subversive and unfaithful article. | /r/MensRights | 31/10/22 10:24 PM
When A Man Does not Feel Appreciated.Yes. The frustrating thing is that pointing it out "inevitable consequences" gets conflated with "conspiring to make them happen". I've learnt (far too late in life) to express things not as "If you make me do X I'll retaliate with Y" but "If I acquiesce to do X then it's going to create toxic environment Y and eventually Z will happen. And Z will suck" | /r/MensRights | 31/10/22 10:11 PM
Tried to talk with my mother about men’s emotional well-being/needsWell at least she thinks its a good thing (and not toxic) for a man to be strong. I wouldn't give up on her just yet. I think deep down women get extremely frightened when a man shows weakness. Some women understand this and they aren't sure what to do about it. | /r/MensRights | 31/10/22 03:32 AM
Experts fear rising global ‘incel’ culture could provoke terrorism | Violence against women and girlsI know it's a bit of a segue but I won't be surprised when "growing your own vegetables" is labelled as "dangerous ECONOMIC terrorism" | /r/MensRights | 30/10/22 10:25 PM
Risk taking behaviors and MRA movementsI'd say that the more I clarify my position the more risks I'm willing to take, to the point where I have identified the "hill (or two) that I'm will to die defending." But tbh, no, I havent really been a risk-taker all my life. It's more like I've grown to realise that I'm not going to be helped by being 'nice' like those 'nice' people tell me to be. | /r/MensRights | 28/10/22 04:21 AM
About the "fragile male ego" and "fragile masculinity"We should have at t-shirt made that say "Whatever you think I said, it was just 'me being open and vulnerable' " | /r/MensRights | 28/10/22 03:57 AM
What’s your take?I have felt the same. I would have always described myself as a 'nice' person - harmless. I often thought of myself as little bit superior because I never had "anger" problems like so many other people. But the truth was I'd become so passive and submissive that I just wasn't standing for anything to be angry about. I had no boundaries so I never stopped anyone from crossing them! It eventually got so bad [in a situation where it became clear I needed to ask someone to leave my house] that I was… | /r/MensRights | 26/10/22 04:46 AM
Question from a woman to MRAsI don't have much to add to other comments but, thankyou! | /r/MensRights | 26/10/22 03:42 AM
Hard-working tired husband on r/Marriage: wife forces sex daily causing him to take a separate bedroom to get sleep, accuses him every time the children cry, chases after work with blaming. Comments: "you are not marriage material", "she wants a partner", "autism" "doesn't seem you want marriage".That is genius! | /r/MensRights | 25/10/22 11:10 PM
Question for all fellow menHaven't seen it, but.... I can thoroughly recommend "The Critical Drinker" youtube channel for a wonderfully elegant review. | /r/MensRights | 25/10/22 04:49 AM
