I want to know what you mean by "personal gain"? Isn't a message you agree with to influence other's meant to benefit you personally because your life would be better for it?
Only to OP. They're a feminist that has come here and has been, I guess, welcomed. They need to see how the side they identify with handles opposition.
Do you mind explaining a little more about what happpened? Why did she attack you in the first place? Was it an ongoing thing or a one time occurrence?
As a victim of molestation I post all these stories of women getting light sentences on my FB page all the time. I guess as a show of activism or whatever. It's so sad when you try to compare this to the Jared from Subway shit people don't seem to get it.
It was a cross post I agree and it's my fault for not indicating it as such, post the original that was posted to /r/pussypassdenied so that they may get credit.
I'm sorry, I was replying at 2-3 am so reading comprehension skills were lacking on my part. I really wish I could remember what they said, I don't think they said much
One of her friends stepped in to defend her saying she was just being a drunk idiot. So kudos to her.... but the more I talked to them I could just feel myself getting more and more enraged I just walked away mid sentence before I said something I'd regret.
I'm sorry this sounds fake to me, his comments so far have mentioned two different topics within this sub: the women requesting not to be sat near men at the workplace and the using the mans semen to impregnate even though there was protected intercourse ie the athlete who got sued for child support because the women stole his semen from a used rubber. Not only that, but in general terms, in a professional working environment, most people are afraid of losing their jobs and won't pass out emails…
I guess black men should just accept that people think they're going to rob them. I mean, you'd have to be in their shoes to "understand" right? What a load of shit.
Maybe I'm just flooded by this at work to the point that it infuriates me to no end every issue is female...and it's hard being broke, middle class...and male (and white).
Maybe I'm just a naive 20-something but I've never seen one medical campaign in my life time or work life that told me to go rub my testes for lumps or go to the doctor to have my prostate examined. So much so as the female awareness medical driven issues. These kind of things tend to have a gender leaning toward women, and while this grievance is obvious, people are people, lives are lives My layman opinion on the matter is that because we are so disposable, why does it matter if more of us die…
The evidence suggests a lower survival for men. The CDC sites that more men than women die of heart disease. Now with that being said, why can't we call the "campaign" for what it is: drivel.
I just have this mindset that people are people regardless of genitalia. When it comes to a disease that effects both sexes (males more so) why promote one over the other, especially the one it affects less? I'm not really a fan of the term men's rights as I think rights are evident by my belief in the NAP. But other coin needs to turned to gain prospective of the hypocrisy of feminism.
