are you a woman or something? You can't be this dense. Lets say there were 1,000 males and 100 females. so 110 males got in and only 17 females got in. More males got in than females, but that doesn't have fucking anything to do with discrimination. If 100 men and 10 women apply, 5 men get in and 5 women get in, would you say it was fair? NO! Because all that matters is the ratio.

That means that for the people who DIDN'T do all majorprep DIDN"T all get in, so the disparity between the 11% and 17% must be from people in this category. So a woman who hasn't done one major prep has a higher chance of getting admitted than a male who hasn't done one too.

Just to point a few things out. I asked about the profile of students who were admitted and also the percentage of males who applied and got accepted vs females who applied and got accepted. Even though it's usually men who enthusiastically devote themselves to programming and such, women have a 50% higher chance of getting admitted. Just thought it'd be interesting to point out.

but that example is totally different.... I seriously doubt anyone can make a claim that a company is racist/sexist if it is certain they do not have access to any identifying features of the individual. How it can work is just to ask the judgets or feminists or whatever to come up with the system themselves.

I still don't see why this can't be done with a person who's gender and skin color is kept secret. Just have again an online interview. If you need them to write code or solve a problem just do that thing where you see their screen and face too, and the face will be blurred for you, but have a third party simply confirm it is actually the person you want to interview and not some random other person. I think this can totally work and I will do it when/if I start a company

but surely if you conduct the interviews or selection process without even knowing if they are male or female, it would work? Like for instance, if someone is dropping in their resume, just have them write a number instead of a name. Then when you pick one for an "interview" you post the number on a website.
