I've been with my boyfriend for four years, and I guarantee you he doesn't think I need to be submissive or in perfect shape to make him happy. Of course relationships are a give and take. Every day we find small ways to make each other smile and ease each other's burdens. But our relationship is not built on the foundation of "if you aren't submissive enough or if you gain too much weight, I'm going to leave you for a quieter, younger woman." Love is so beyond that. And I just can't imagine EVE…

Girl, if this sort of view on relationships fits your life, again, I'm sorry. I'm sorry that you have apparently only met terrible people who can't be bothered to appreciate who you actually are. This is batshit insane, all of it. I feel like the pills you guys keep talking about are crazy pills. This is not love, or in any way a healthy view on relationships. I hope one day you'll be happy.

What is this shit about pills? Literally what are you talking about? Yes I'm a woman and I'm a feminist, but I'm not really angry as much just...at a loss. I have no idea how to respond to you, because you're ridiculous. I wandered in here from an r/all post on the front page and it's like a fantastically terrible dystopian novel

Fashion models sell clothes. Partners are supposed to love and support you. I expect an ad to use sex appeal to sell to me something. I don't often expect to speak to a person who selects a partner the way they would select a magazine. I just honestly feel really bad for you. You're missing out on a lot.

What the fuck kind of hellscape did I wander into? I'm sorry that the circumstances and relationships in your life have led you to this. If "submissive and sexy" is your main criteria for the worthiness of a partner, then I don't think you've ever truly been in love. I really am sorry. This is both highly terrifying and sad, that people truly subscribe to this point of view.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
