Logical advice is practical advice. Bold claims that can't be backed up with evidence are not taken seriously in the logical world of mathematics, science, and engineering. We are simply recommending a shift in attitude toward being more objective instead of subjective when making bold claims.

I think you guys are missing the point. We are attacking the argument because it's about logic, and it is blatantly illogical. And 10 thousand people follow this website and mostly agree with what he says. Uses of logic, if one has any understanding of it, are not up for changing to suit your needs. Logic is linear. If you were going to do a logical analysis like the one you did on every post on TRP you would find a myriad of logical fallacies. Even outside of TRP, if you did that same thing, you would find, non-stop, logical fallacies. In fact, I believe is hard to find an article making a concise point that doesn't contain them. You're right, what struck my nerve was that someone decided 50 percent of the population was more logical than another 50 percent of the population without using an ounce of logic or cited data in his essays, and other people seemed to think this was acceptable. Ad hominem attack requires that we attack the speaker, and not the argument. We have attacked the argument.
