For a specific behavior you can practice to have better posture, check this posture exercise video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=aKeLH5k508w#t=56

IMHO it's this kind of stuff that makes seduction really valuable and interesting. Not the "figure out what to say / how to act / what to do to get this girl to sleep with me" but the "figure out what to say / how to act / what to do to get the outcome I want". After following r/seduction and reading a few different books (Carnegie's HTWFAIP was great), there's been a variety of skills I've learned and practiced in an intentional way. A few years back I was the uber-shy guy who rarely talked unl…

One the one hand, with the attitude she was bringing, it wasn't worth your time. On the other, engaging her in conversation sounds like a pretty good stretch exercise. It would be interesting to see if she acts that way around other people in other situations, or if this was a one-night thing. I read something a while back (but can't remember where) about persuasion, and how people tend to pick a few persuasive techniques that work for them, and stick with them. An example of this is someone who…

The funny thing is I followed about 90 - 95% of the acronyms she used.

Who's needs are more important, yours or the girls?

When I read that part, I imagined the OP with a giant flava-flav style clock around his neck, and all these clockblockers trying to tear him down for knowing what time it was.

That's a somewhat darkly ironic video, considering the way James Dean died.

So, who was Jimmy again? I seem to have lost track of that part of the story.

One of the things that drives me nuts is when I'm in a work meeting with a bunch of other people, and everyone is paying attention to their laptops. Yes, most likely it's a boring meeting, but being present (in the sense described in that article) is more important than your email.

what's the book about?

IMHO this seems like too much of a canned idea. What's your plan depending on how she reacts? Where do you take the conversation after that?

I don't know if this is related, but I've heard that staring at someone's hairline makes it look like you are starting at them, but it's less likely to make you nervous.

My advice is to bulk up on your confidence. Start off with small things (doing reps with a barbell at home, fancy new shirt, etc), and keep building. Also, have you looked into some of the physical confidence building stuff? Simple things like standing with your feet slightly wider than your shoulders, keeping your head up, and not fidgeting with your hands can help improve that too. If you're feeling low on confidence, fake it until you make it. A trick I use is to wear a special suit jacket wh…

I think the broader point the OP makes here is that the good alpha leads, but also makes sure that everyone in the group is having a good time.

Yes, you also avoid seeking their approval if you tell them that you are doing things, instead of asking to do things.

The subcommunications are really important. I've been working on putting together true stories about something ridiculous that happened, with the subcom of "I'm an honest / trustworthy guy", i.e. the time i found a lost rent check and got the check back to the guy who had lost it.

I had a great time, which I'm beginning to realize is the most important part of the whole PUA game. Yup. My mantra is "have a good time, all the time." With that in mind, the rest tends to fall into place. You also have to be prepared to go out and have a shitty time (it happens to the best of us), but with the goal of having a good time, things like approach anxiety and such fall away (or at least they do for me).

Touching someone on the outside of the elbow is a good way to initiate kino in a non-threatening way. It's close enough in to be more intimate than a handshake, yet far enough away to be non-creepy.

Advice: have a good time have a good time, all of the time the rest will fall into place Paying attention to the subtler details of social interaction is beneficial, but it shouldn't overshadow your main goal of having a good time.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
