I mean, I'm a 27 year old (fairly attractive, thin) woman and that hasn't been my personal experience through my teens and twenties nor that of my female friends as far as I can tell, so I'm skeptical as well. Maybe some of this varies by region/class/background/culture/ethnicity etc.

The truth is most likely that we're all both a product of our choices and circumstances... it's not an either/or.

"We're protesting that this... antiquated way of thinking about women exists at all." This is interesting. Doesn't the statement on the billboard actually represent an antiquated way of thinking about MEN? It doesn't actually say anything about what women do/don't or should/shouldn't do other than appreciate that a man provides (what's wrong with that, even from a leftist standpoint?). This billboard puts an onus on men, if anyone. But somehow the narrative gets twisted to posit women as the vic…

I find this a little cringey. While the "other woman" may have ten mouthfuls of your husband's cock, it's you he's married to in the light of day, you he puts a roof over and food in front of, you he parents children with, pays bills for, forms a social unit with, sleeps next to, shares life's ups and downs with. Being the "other woman" is a lowly (and lonely) station at the end of the day and it's something no wife should feel jealous of, second to, or stive to emulate. I totally agree we shoul…

Me too. I even liked him when he was younger always getting typecast as weirdo goofballs. When I saw him in Westworld I was like OH DAMN. 40 never looked so good.

Last weekend I came home to a surprise dozen red roses and my fiance took me to one of our favorite restaurants downtown. Yesterday I spent the day cooking a special dinner for him, then I made him brownies (with his help) wearing high heels and lingerie. I also left chocolates and a book of sex positions on his nightstand for him to find. He said it was the best Valentine's day ever.

Excellent post. When I'm telling someone about TRP I make sure to emphasize the difference between "how things are" and "how things should be". Many of my left-leaning friends feel that to generalize about differences in nature between men and women is wrong, because it leads to this which leads to that which ultimately creates inequality and injustice. Perhaps one might be able to be convinced that men and women "should" be interchangeable, for the sake of justice. However, the value of TRP is …

Excellent post. To add to this, don't SPEND your prime dread-obsessed over the Wall. It will come, as it does for us all, but if it isn't there yet enjoy your prime and don't give it mental real estate.

Jordan Hasay, Sara Hall and Keara Rupp, to bring up the athlete side of things. All current/former collegiate or professional runners, all seem to embody the epitome of natural beauty, kindness and femininity (and in Hall/Rupp's cases, embracing marriage and motherhood) while being top notch athletes.

Something about this is reading a little bit like it's fake to me. Apologies if I'm wrong... but... yeah.
