The husband was charged with additional crimes: two counts of false imprisonment and a lone count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. If the mother was doing the exact same thing as the father (i.e. playing video games while the children were captive in the household and being neglected) then she was as guilty of those two crimes as he was, yet she wasn't even charged for them.	/r/MensRights	10/08/14 04:21 PM

The other first responses to OP automatically assumed that the reasoning for the tougher sentence was because of prejudice against men with the only evidence of this being the higher rate of harsher penalties Well I think that mentality goes back to my original point being there are no facts that distinguish between the man's and woman's culpability here. Just looking at face value possibly because the police didn't have the evidence to charge them jointly. But it's two parents living in the exact same household committing the exact same negligent behavior against the exact same children. Both their own children. 37	It happens every year. Feminists on twitter gleefully trending #EndFathersDay Ridiculous, unsurprising, and hilarious. They think a feminist started it: "This is real, fuck yeah, down with men and their oppressive holidays" (whatever the hell that even means).
